Cincinnati Enquirer Wants Mitt Romney to Take Back Their Country

“Obama took office in January 2009 as the nation’s economy was imploding. That year alone, 4.7 million U.S. jobs were lost and the unemployment rate ballooned past 10 percent. The president can’t be blamed for that. In fact, he and his administration took bold action to prevent further disaster. “-Enquirer Editorial Board

First they compliment the President, then they slap him down by handing their endorsement to Mittens. You can read the whole thing here.

The Enquirer's main problem with Obama, it seems is that he didn't solve ALL PROBLEMS IN HIS FIRST FOUR YEARS. That's it. Didn't work fast enough, apparently implying he was too busy shuckin and jivin to get the job done. If you've paid attention to GOP talking points for the past couple of years, then there is no need to read the editorial.

The editorial goes on to say that the country is in danger of sliding back into a recession and therefore needs Mitt Romney to steer it the rest of the way, back to prosperity. In other words, Mitt will take back the country and all will once again be “white” with the world.

I stopped reading the Enquirer a long time ago primarily because the people who run this sorry excuse of a newspaper write as if they never look out of their windows and see the architecturally beautiful city surrounding them. Cincinnati is in the midst of a construction boom...houses and businesses are jumping. There is a Casino going up. The Banks have taken off. There are Black and Latino restaurants opening up downtown. Amazing. But this stuff would never happen if someone other than Barack Obama was in the White House. It would not have happened with a president Romney based on his proposed policies and spending cuts.

And yet, this GOP controlled paper says Mitt is the answer? Please! And please, let's not discuss the re enslavement of women as proposed by the Republican party. This from a paper where two out three on the editorial board were female at birth.

And no mention of how Mittens would handle the wars, or take care of our returning Vets. Guess The Enquirer doesn't give a damn about them either.

The vacuum that these folks write and exist in is overwhelmingly white, suburban and republican, minorities need not apply, ever. If you read the Cincinnati Enquirer on any given day, you would have no clue that anyone other than conservative catholic white people live here, ever.

Been that way all six decades of my entire life and I keep wondering why I still get mad about it.

The definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over and over, expecting different results.

Time I followed my own advice.

I'm Not Voting for Steve Chabot or Jeff Sinnard. But I am Going Green and Voting Rich Stevenson

While I know that most of the people who live in the First Congressional District of Ohio recognize the name of their current representative, I would venture to guess, that like me, they don't know who the hell Jeff Sinnard is or what he represents.

Chabot is the perennial representative, off and on, since 1994, who managed to sneak back into office in 2010, when folks simply decided not to vote thereby allowing for the teabag takeover that has wrecked Congress for the past couple of years. Chabot was a part of that.

His signs are up (same signs) and his television ads have started running again and other than the fact that he has changed the color of his shirt, nothing has changed. Same words, same GOP trickle down bullshit talking points. Same mom and apple pie, fake patriotic stance that motivates his base. Same comb-over. Same no show in the neighborhood.

The only time that you hear Chabot's name is at election time. Sponsoring legislation to help his district is apparently not a part of his job description. Although he has co-signed onto every single one of the 55 anti choice and anti women's health laws that have run through the 112^th. He has voted against all Veteran's Bills and all Jobs Bills. He sits firmly along side John Boehner and the other do nothings on Capital Hill.

One would think that this kind of record would motivate Democrats to find a viable candidate to oppose this walking waste of oxygen. So what do Dems do? They run a Jeff Sinnard, probably a party faithful, looking to go big time, with no skills and no track record. There are no yard signs or Sinnard bumper stickers in my hood. There have been no community meetings on this side of town. Nobody in the Obama office is blowing up my phone asking for votes for Jeff Sinnard.

They apparently expect those of us who are also Democrats to support this guy sight unseen. In Hamilton County, running a Jeff Sinnard against Steve Chabot is like throwing raw meat to a lion at the Cincinnati Zoo at feeding time. The Democrats have obviously ceded this election to Chabot. They gave up rather than represent their constituency.

So you know what....I'm not voting democrat in the first congressional district this year. I'm voting for Rich Stevenson of the Green Party. His platform more closely resembles what I would like to see worked on by Congress. 

I realize that a third party vote is more than likely a vote for Chabot, but frankly I'm tired of Democrats assuming what my vote is going to be. They haven't been there for me, for a very, very long time. So, I'm done being there for them, because they assume that Black folks like me will vote the party line regardless. 

I also like Jill Stein for president, but make no mistake about it, I am voting for Barack Obama for President because I think he deserves to attempt to finish what he has started and because Mitt Romney is a major, major mistake for the country.

However in 2016, Democrats better come correct, because I'm done with Democrats, with Republicans and anybody else who does not have my best interests at heart. 2012 is where I draw the line.

After Obama, I'm no longer a Democrat by default.

So my votes are as follows: Obama/Biden, Rich Stevenson in the First District, No on Issue 1, Yes on Issue 2.

Mitt Romney vs Barack Obama- The Clash of the Titans

So President Obama is beating up on Mitt Romney about his Bain Capital days.

So the fuck what!

For four years, we have watched every one wanting GOP/teabagger cred call Obama names, make fun of his family and disrespect the man to his face.

We have fumed because he is so bent on working with the wing nuts to govern this country, that he seemingly doesn't even flinch when they call him names or shout into his face interrupting the State of the Union Address, for instance.

He has been simply unflappable while standing in the midst of this GOP created shit storm.

For four fucking years, Obama has been Buddha, Gandhi, and Martin all wrapped up in one body.

Smile and turn the other cheek, he's told us and shown us, as we've gritted our teeth hoping for some comeback, like Malcolm or Marcus Garvey. 

We've secretly wished Obama had revealed  some Kunta Kinte fight in him.

On day one of his term, the GOP Congressional Leadership publicly vowed to take him out and make him a one term president. These vicious SOB's have laughed off every death threat and slam the neanderthals have dreamed up as a way of denigrating this President and his family.

The GOP has controlled the message....they have lied...they have attacked...they have obfuscated at every given opportunity. As a result there is no governance. There are only 33 attempts to repeal a law they are using for their repeated public flogging of the Prez.

33 times? Isn't that the textbook definition of crazy? Just askin'.

We on the left, call him soft because he won't fight back....because he stands there and takes it and tells us to take it too.

Until now....

President Obama has come out swinging for this election and nobody knows how to deal with it. The silly little pundits are worrying their useless little heads about whether or not the President is being too hard on Willard Mittens Romney. Is Obama being too negative too soon, they wonder out loud.

Again, I say, so the fuck what. Romney started the fight. Let's see if he can finish it. Fuck him if he can't take a joke!

I for one am glad and happy to stand back and watch the man whale on Mitten's white arrogance ass.

It's time somebody bloodied this fool. He isn't interested in running a fair campaign. Romney's sole interest is in being “king of the world.” Period!

Romney used these very tactics to kill his opposition during the republican primaries. When Gingrich and Santorum and Paul et al attacked Romney, He attacked back, with more money and so much negativity they had to back down and run.

Obama is basically using the same tape filled with the same allegations that the other GOP candidates used against Mitt. There is nothing new here.

It's just being used better and more effectively.

President Obama is a different animal. He has the money, he has the time and the best investigators available on earth.

And...unlike Mr. Romney....The President has been vetted..investigated and vetted again and again and again since 2007.

There are no more secrets to find out on Barack Obama. There is just his record as president, which really is not nearly as bad as the teabags would have you believe.

Trust me...despite what they say....they really, really, really don't want to talk about Obama's record of accomplishments these past four years.

So, as Rahm Emanual said yesterday “quit whininn' Romney. Mittens picked this fight.

Romney is the one who has brought back the “willie horton” smear experts to handle his campaign.

And there is an old saying in the ghetto....”Don't start nothin', won't be nothin.”

Romney and the GOP been throwing unanswered punches for four years.

Time for some old fashioned payback.

The Affordable Healthcare Law-Some Plain Talk

I don't know what made Chief Justice Roberts vote the way he did on the Affordable Healthcare case.

Maybe it was like Sophia said in The Color Purple; “Day iz a gawd!”

Maybe his check from Karl Rove and the Heritage Foundation got lost in the mail, while Thomas, Scalia and Alito laughed all the way to the bank.

Or maybe it was as simple as Justice Roberts remembering that he is the Chief Justice of the United States of ALL of America and not just some cantankerous group of ultra conservatives bent on destroying the Republic.

Nobody will ever know unless he opens up about it somewhere in the distant future.

The fact remains, that despite all the newly formed conservative conspiracy theories, Chief Justice Roberts got it right and for that I can only say thank you.

Thank you as a woman, and thank you as someone with a chronic, eventually terminal and pre existing condition. Roberts gave me back my human-ness instead of relegating me to the forgettable statistic column.

Justice Roberts vote finally brought some equality to women. Pregnancy is no longer considered a pre existing condition. Birth control becomes free, just like viagra. Preventative healthcare is moved to the forefront.

Soon, maybe even dental work will become routine for all Americans.

The media and its talking head conservative driven news programs is making much of the idea that now everyone has a new tax to deal with because of the Affordable Healthcare Law....That the penalty is a tax hike that all taxpayers must anti up.....This is simply not true.

The correct analogy is that the healthcare penalty is like the tax on cigarettes or the tax on liquor or the tax on gasoline. This is what Justice Roberts pointed out to the court.

These taxes are only paid by users. In other words...if you smoke cigarettes or drink whiskey or drive a car, then you must pay the taxes to do so.

The same is now true for healthcare.

In other words, you can no longer treat the emergency room as your own personal doctor's office without penalty. You won't pay it when you get treated, but you will pay it on your taxes.

Because everyone needs healthcare...because everyone gets sick...or has an accident..simply gets older...the law states you have to pay for your healthcare, whether it be through buying a plan, privately purchased, through your employer, or through any number of insurance exchanges that are being set up.

If you choose not to buy insurance before you get sick, you have to pay a penalty on your income tax. It's as simple as that. Buy insurance...no penalty...Don't buy insurance..pay the tax..

This tax eliminates the free ride....If you play...you now will have to pay. And since everyone will eventually need a doctor or medical care...everyone pays for his or her own healthcare.

That is all that the Affordable Healthcare Law does. It does not expand government power. Government, as Justice Roberts said, already has and exercises this power.

The other thing that is being overlooked is that most of the Affordable Healthcare Law won't take affect until 2014.

Right now, parents can keep their college age kids insured until they are 26.

Right now, co-pays for preventive care have been wiped out.

Children with pre existing condition must be granted insurance with no expiration date.

Right now, the insurance companies cannot drop you when you get sick.

Seniors get help with their drugs purchases.

And insurance companies are being forced to use the money they collect from us on medical care for us. If they don't...they are required by law to give us back our money in cash.

Those checks are now in the mail.

And despite what the GOP says the plan is working. Ask a doctor or a nurse or someone other than a politician whose only goal is to deny Barack Obama a second term in the Presidency.

Mittons Romney doubled down on his “repeal and replace” position yesterday. He lied to you about what happened with Romneycare in Massachusetts when he was governor.

His program is very successful. Folks in Massachusetts love Romneycare. It was and remains the plan upon which The Affordable Healthcare Law is based.

But he chooses to side with the nut bags...just to get elected President...as if it is his Mormon-given right to lead us. (there is Mormon prophecy that speaks to this divine right to lead)

He.....Mitt Romney is a liar...he lies about healthcare,...he lies about his role in creating healthcare...he lies about his positions on jobs and the economy without telling you what his real positions are...

The whole truth of the healthcare law is that “Obamacare” as the right insists on calling it was modeled after "Romneycare" which was modeled after the 1993 version of the healthcare act that was put forth solely and completely the Republican party.

The individual mandate...the penalty that everyone is bitching about, was a creation of the Heritage Foundation conservative think tank that now fights tooth and nail and buys supreme court justices with the names of Scalia, Alito and Thomas.

The Affordable Healthcare Law is, was and remains a Republican idea, adopted by Mitt Romney when he was a governor, which was then adopted by Barack Obama in his unceasing and suicidal efforts to work with Congress in a bipartisan manner.

Their law...his name... and they don't like it...

President Obama is giving a jobs speech tonight. It may be the best speech he's ever written. Hell, it may be the best piece of legislation that he and his administration have ever crafted.

However, always the Pollyanna,  it still seems as if Obama is banking once again on Congress to grow brains, find their hearts or turn patriotic in order to get help to the American people.

Ain't gonna happen. Bipartisanship died as soon as the GOP laid eyes on Barack H. Obama.  So, suck it up Americans, the GOP is once again raising it's foot and is about to firmly plant it in our collective ass!

The teabag GOP has only one goal...one aim...one working method...and that is to kill anyone nominated by Obama...trash any measure presented by Obama,,,denigrate and disrespect the President every chance they get. It's like Miz Mitch McConnell said at the beginning of the year...the only goal is  to defeat Obama and take back "their" country, nothing else matters to this Congress.

Their sole intent is to knock him on his "elitist" ass and put the "boy" back in his place.

They don't care about "we" the people...they have already stated over and over again their intention to re-draw the American Constitution in their own perverted image. These godless, alleged christians want to imprison women,  re-enslave Blacks, "cure" the gay,  and expatriate Hispanics..unless they come directly from Spain.

What about senior citizens?  Well they want old people to just die, since Social Security is nothing more than a ponzi scheme designed to take money away from the young....Seniors die and there is more money for the godless spawn that they're raising to take over.

Ricki P wants to kill social security, not just reform it. He wants to do away with health care. He wants to repeal all taxes and regulations that apply to rich people and corporations. He thinks gays and lesbians suffer from a mental disease. Maybe he should select Mr Michele Bachmann as his running mate.

Mitt Max Headroom wants to repeal taxes for the rich, kill health care for millions, and change social security and medicare.

Michele B...well...she's a woman who gives a damn what or even if she thinks at all...Once the tall dark and handsome good haired governor from Texas jumped into the race...she became another clueless footnote along with the pizza man, the doctor, the lizard, and the snowbilly.

Their collective jobs plans are non existent, period, while the President's plan reportedly is crafted from old proposals that were previously put forth by the GOP or at least had bi partisan support in their first readings in Congress. But the speech has yet to be given and already teabaggers are claiming amnesia on past acts and bragging about their intent to stay away from the speech.

I have this image in my head.....all the little brained, tiny teabaggers standing outside the chamber with their fingers jammed firmly in their oversized ears, potbellies jiggling in unison, dancing all over the beat, singing "lalalalalalalala" at the top of their voices, in order to drown out the President. Like three year olds throwing temper tantrums...they refuse to listen...total disrepect for the leader of the free world.

Don cha know...taking potshots at Obama is the only game in town in this election season.

Bipartisan action-yeah, when pigs fly! If it's not a go-big, new deal type jobs stimulating program...it ain't gonna work because it ain' gonna pass Congress.

No Social Security Checks?! When Pigs Fly

So now we're being told that Social Security checks for August may not go out, if Congress doesn't put a deficit deal in place. It goes without saying that watching helplessly while Congress and the White House play chicken with my life is not sitting very well with me.

Rather than negotiate in good faith, the GOP lead by Miz Mitch McConnell from Kentucky wants to give the President more power than allocated by the United States Constitution to solve the problem. Only trouble is, it is a catch 22 for the White House..accept the power described by McConnell in his grand idea and the GOP/teabaggers will immediately fall back on all their third world banana republic scenarios, claiming Obama is attempting to establish himself as America's first dictator.

It's a trap whose only purpose as McConnell has repeatedly stated, is to bring down Barack Obama, limiting him to one term in office. He needs help cleaning up the GOP mess left over from the past decade, but he's not gonna get it from Congress, apparently.

According to all sides and sources, we need to increase the debt limit or face dire consequences financially, including a return, if you will, to recession or even depression. Some sources are even predicting the end of the world as we know it, if steps aren't taken soon.  Okay, so what's the holdup?

Well the GOP wants to cut entitlements. Read that Medicaid, Medicare, and gut social security.  They see no need to fix the infrastructure or create more jobs or recreate the manufacturing base that built this country in the first place.

They see no need to make health care even more affordable, after all, they already have it. Their salaries are protected under emergency funding, meaning they will get paid even if the country defaults on everything else.

 They see no need to cut defense spending, just in case we have to go to war again and despite the fact that we will never fight war like this again. The neocons still cling to the visions of batallions of men marching toward one another on an open field, while war has evolved to the push button phase from the safety of our own borders. And they have no clue or idea what to do with the vets who are returning home from the illegal actions that have been raging for the past several years.  We treat our vets worse than we treat poor people in this country, and that's pretty bad.

They also see no need to raise taxes on the wealthy, figuring, I would guess, that the middle class can  absorb about $500 in cuts per person better than the wealthy can come up with $5 per person to help out. They see no need to increase the revenue base at all.

American jobs are still being shipped overseas.... most workers haven't seen a pay increase bigger than 2% for the past several years, while corporate honchos are averaging 28% increases before the yearly bonus.

Unemployment is at 9.2% if you happen to be white. If you're black...it's right around 16%..Not much has changed since the days of Ronald Reagan.

So inquiring minds want to know...

1...Why is the GOP afraid of the Tea Party...so much so that it is allowing the inmates to run the asylum since most of these insane solutions for cutting the deficit come from the teabagger caucus?  Are there no moderate republicans willing to stand up and lead rather than to follow the crazies over the cliff dragging America into oblivion?

2...Why does the White House see the need to always capitulate to the right, when it wasn't the right that elected the president in the first place? When does "Change" become a big idea rather than a whispered wish?  There once was a dream that was change. What happened?

This White House is like a ballplayer who comes to the plate in the bottom of the ninth...two outs...bases loaded...team down by three runs...winning run at the plate..time to go big or go home...what do you do...lay down a bunt...or swing for the fence...This White House tends to bunt more often than not...

3...When does Congress stand up for the middle class and do the job it is supposed to do, which is to protect us from the whims of both the right and left crazies, the bloodsuckers of the corporate world and the wolves of Big Pharma who see people as nothing more than human lab rats with pockets full of money?

4...When are the American people going to stand up and vote in their own best interests rather than sit back and allow the power elite to drive the frenzied mob into a stampede that overwhelms the voting booth, snatching power from the people?

Me?  Voting at every opportunity for my own best interests, but still making plans to expatriat, having lost faith in the courage of the American people...

Unemployment drops to 9.4%.....can hear the GOP spin now....”See...we told you tax cuts for the rich and famous would make for more jobs!” Nevermind that it's been steadily improving since Obama took over when he unleashed the GOP crafted stimulous. Wonder if the new majority will suddenly start taking credit for “their “stimulus” and “their” health care bill...anyone who keeps up with the goings on on Capital Hill knows that most of what is in the Health Care Bill originated with the Republicans...They were all for it, until the Black guy decided to get it passed into law..

While we're on the subject of citizenship and the Constitution.....Birthers need to get a grip...They keep arguing Obama was born in Africa.....SO WHAT!.....His very lilly white Momma was born in Kansas...she could have given birth on the moon and made his name Barack ET Obama to commemorate the event...and he would still be an American citizen...Daddy was taken out of the equation back around the 1620's.

The bigots are choking on a system they created...It spawns from the “one drop rule.” In other words, back in the day...if you had one drop of black blood in you, then you were considered black regardless of the brightness of your skin tone...heritage was changed to be charted through the mother....not the father...to keep all those magnificent plantations from legally falling into the hands of their secret, dusky off spring....Now that one of the dusky relations has made it to the White House...the Birthers want to change the game yet gain...White people created the system...Black people survived it....Now it's coming back to haunt you...

Another result of this “system” is that Black Americans have more white blood in them than African, and sometimes many whites in general...the term African American should be put to rest....It was useful at one time, back in the days of "I'm black and I'm proud." But we are Americans, period. The term implies that we emigrated to this country instead of being born here or brought here in chains.

We were considered chattel and bred like cattle...bought and sold to enrich whites...you can't run away from that no matter how many times you excise the word “nigger” from your history or literature books.

GOP...What Cha Gonna Do Now?

Okay, it's been six days since the country vented its economic frustrations on the Democrats in last Tuesday's election and what has been accomplished so far?

Well, Michele Bachmann is plotting how to crack the old boys leadership club and bring her bratty teabag family with her....Mitch McConnell is plotting overthrow of President Obama in 2012, seemingly not worried about any alleged mandate from the people to fix the economy and find some jobs......John Boehner the new boss of the House of Representatives is a bit more subdued, because he seems to be celebrating where most of us can't find him, although we can hear it in his voice.

The arrogant smirk on the newly elected teabag darling from Kentucky, Rand Paul has taken up permanent residence on his face. He is plotting outright takeover of the country.

As he has been saying from jump, “he wants HIS country back”.........not really understandable since he is to the manner born...a tried and true master of the universe, who has had absolutely nothing to worry about ever.

The people of Kentucky simply freed Rand Paul up to be the 400 pound gorilla in the china shop that he came into this world being.  If anyone is living the American dream, it is Senator elect Randal Paul smack inside his own personal Norman Rockwell painting, with his three towed headed boys, a bottle blond trophy of a wife, his medical degree and his father's name. What else is there except world or at least country domination?

These guys spent less than two years in exile after trashing the country. Under the law that amounts to probation for being caught with a joint cocked behind your ear. They didn't have enough time to figure out what it is that they did wrong, before they are back in power, with crazy riding shotgun.

The GOP is great at winning elections because the Democrats haven't figured out how to talk to its constituents and deliver a coherent message about their accomplishments.

The Dems did more for the people of this country than any other administration in history. But you'd never know it by looking at and listening to the average American.

At least John Boy Boehner is smarter than Newt Gingrich, in that he is not making any brash promises about what his party intends to do. Probably because they don't really know what they intend to do with the exception of beating Obama in two years.

Their Pledge to America is empty. There is nothing in it, written between the front and back covers except empty words that echo what the GOP has been telling us for the past ten years. Heck, it's unchanged since the days of their patron Saint Ronald of Reagan more than 30 years ago.

The Pledge to America basically promises to hold the line on government spending while assuming that lower spending is all that's needed to bring back the country from the brink of destruction. In other words, keep government small and the situation will take care of itself.

This Pledge is not a plan. It is not a method of governance and sidesteps the real reasons why the GOP was kicked out of power back in 2008. Yes, the Bush Administration screwed up the spending, drastically increased the deficits with its two illegal wars, but the main problem was that it did not address the problem of the struggling and shrinking middle class, which teetered off the deep end long before the Black man took over the White House.

In addition, amidst the unchecked corporate quest for massive personal riches, the United States was allowed to fall out of competition with the rest of the world. The USA became like the Muhammed Ali who fought George Foreman rather than the man who destroyed Sonny Liston-still effective in the ring, but only a shadow of the magnificent heavyweight champion of the world that he once was.

There are three problems that need solving: Jobs and the current quagmire of the jobless recovery in which we find ourselves, the disappearing middle class, drowning in an unperforming economy, and the very long term problem of spending on entitlements like social security and medicare. This problem brought about by the increasing numbers of people who are simply living longer.

The GOP/teabag hyrbrid that took over the House of Representatives has presented no answers. Not one solution for these problems. Furthermore, they are not united on any of these fronts. There are a few ideas floating around, from individual Congressmen. However they have no power to make it happen, nor do they have the ear of the White House with its veto power still intact.

Shutting down the government and freezing spending is dangerous and not the answer. It is just another temper tantrum because they can.

Impeaching or attempting to impeach Obama is a mistake, period.

Repealing healthcare and returning even more power to the insurance industry is not a solution.

Failing to address basic tax code reform is again not a viable way to return to prosperity.


Nor is privatizing social security and medicare while doing away with medicaid, thereby sentencing millions of Americans literally to death, as the State of Texas is apparently mulling over as a way to handle its budget short falls.

Working to defeat Obama in two years is also not the answer despite the dreams of Mitch McConnell, because at least Obama's programs are working, right now.   It is crazy to spend the next two years working to remove what may be an immovable object by the time you get there.

It is time for the GOP to get serious about policy, if it can, because what it is showing now is confusion and too much willingness to rely on the proven failed policy of the past ten years.

And this time, we don't have a parachute to cushion our fall.

Falling Merrily Down the Rabbit Hole

Well, I opened the drapes this morning and the sun was coming up. It is a cold and frosty November day. A crisp morning, not yet winter cold, but a day where you can see your breath hanging in the air before you. The 2010 midterms are over and while everything changed, nothing actually changed.

Another SOSDD situation...Same Old Shit...Different Day for those who don't know the acronym. It's Groundhog Day, again. 

Watching the election returns last night were pretty disheartening. There was an empty feeling in my gut when I went to bed because the results were showing that in America, nothing really had changed, in that white Americans don't like minorities and they proved it once again. The violent angry right wing which would be happier if I didn't exist, took back its country. They served notice that my short number of days as an equal American are over. 

The “boy” in the White House didn't live up to expectations, didn't genuflect on cue, didn't pay enough lip service to who “really built and owns this country.” The uppity and elitist SOB and his black wife weren't grateful enough for being allowed to live on Pennsylvania Avenue...didn't show it. 

Hell, they generously gave him two years to fix the mess...Hercules cleaned the Aegean stables in a day and they were a total mess. What's the problem?

You can justify it anyway you want...paint it any color you want to paint it...but the truth of the matter is born out by exit polls, and that is white America....80% of GOP whites....closeted democratic whites...fake ass independent whites....gay and straight whites....are afraid of the Black man in the White House.  

That was the GOP/Tea KKK bagger campaign....fear Obama....fear his policies regardless of his success at moving the country away from the brink of depression. There were no issues other than Obama...no solutions...just a campaign for untrusting fraidy cat silly white people. 

From top to bottom. From the state to the federal level, they put the white guys back. Not just any white guys, but the very same white guys who nearly destroyed this country and ran on the same platform they've been pushing for 30 years. The same platform of mass destruction for everyone except for rich people. 

These aren't new people with the exception of Rand Paul. Paul is young crazy replacing an old crazy, Jim Bunning. Paul is second generation rich, crazy and racist, who is just arrogant enough to keep disdain for poor people on display as he works to dismantle social security and medicaid, public education and veteran's affairs to name a few. At least his father kept his racism to himself, until somebody found his old newletters and exposed them. 

Paul is not up to destroying Medicare, however. All of his patients are on medicare. In other words, Paul is set on keeping his own government paycheck intact He just traded up in the size of his own personal government handout. And I'll bet he takes health care, too.
Everyone else, however, is screwed. 

Poor white people who are right there along with me, disdained and unwanted by the rich, are still apparently delusional in their thinking that their color makes them better than me and just like their wealthier counterparts, who don't want anymore to do with them,
then they do with me.

I will never understand what it is that makes poor white people literally cut off their collective nose to spite their face, just to be able say, “well at least I am white, “ like that means something. Must be genetic. 

NOTE TO POOR WHITE PEOPLE: The GOP job plan is probably going to be to bomb Iran, so more of you can go die...but you'll die employed. Hope you die in the line of duty because if you do come back...there won't be any benefits or VA to take care of you. Certainly no health care or social nets to help your families. I guess that is okay. Must be,
because you voted for it. 

NOTE TO GAY PEOPLE: Back in the closet with your festive self, because DADT and DOMA are still the law of the land and ENDA...don't think it's gonna happen. The GOP likes its gays, quiet, closeted and controlled. 

Saw a facebook comment from one anti Obama gay white girl who said gays will just have to work harder in order to pass equality laws....WORK HARDER?! Silly white gay...all of it was on the table to be passed before 2012, all you had to do was to trust the black guy and display an unselfish patience for a change. 

Whatever happened to working smarter instead of harder? How smart was voting against Obama? Think the newly outed Ken Mehlman is going to strap on a big red cape and become superman for gay people. Think about that for a minute. 

NOTE to BLACK PEOPLE: And don't think I'm allowing you to escape culpability. If you didn't vote, you deserve whatever “The Man” hands out. But this time don't blame him for your problems. You fucked up, plain and simple.

And this morning, the MSM has officially changed its name to the Bureau of Propaganda for Corporate America and begun the coronation of Lady Sarah. Can anyone doubt now whether or not she will run for president in 2012?

Can anyone doubt that she will win? At least for today, it has become a real possibility.

Why You Should Vote Democratic on November 2nd

AARP, the advocacy group that represents most senior citizens in America, predicts that upwards of 80% of America's 40 million senior citizens plan to vote on November 2^nd. 63% turned out in 2008. Now, on the surface that looks like a good thing for the GOP, since old people are usually more conservative.

But hold your horses...the GOP and its tea party mini-mes say across the board, that they are going to privatize or change social security, health care and medicare...that's right after they extend the Bush tax cuts and increase the deficit by 3 trillion dollars.

But most seniors are happy with health care, and social security. Not even teabaggers want anyone to touch their social security and medicare.

The only place where seniors are against health care and okay with changing social security in fact, are Ohio and Florida....go figure...

Ohio Congressman John Boehner, in between losing his tan, measuring the drapes for his new office and promising powerful committee chairs to his teabagging buddies has promised to shut down the government ala 1994, if he gets the power..this in addition to privatizing social security and revising health care for seniors.

We all know how well that worked for Newt Gingrich and his Contract on America Congressmen who authored the last government shutdown as a way to embarrass President Clinton.

Boehner and Eric Cantor and  Ms. Mitch McConnell want to try the same thing with Obama.


The Campaign for America has identified some of the biggest lies hanging out there that have people confused about Obama's record. You can find the entire story here.

1. Obama drastically increased the deficit. Fact: Bush's last deficit was 1.4-trillion dollars. Obama's first deficit was 1.2 trillion...Obama's plan DECREASED the deficit
2. Obama raised taxes and screwed the economy. Fact: Obama cut taxes for 95% of America. Some 40% of the stimulus money was wasted on tax cuts that created more debt.
   
3. Obama bailed out the banks. Fact: The Bank bailout was requested by President Bush and implemented by Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson. The bailout package was approved BEFORE Obama was even elected president.
   
4. The Stimulus did not work. Fact: The Congressional Budget Office says, not only did it work, it wasn't big enough and should have been more. Emplyment went up by 3.3 million jobs as a direct result of the stimulus.
   
5. Businesses will create jobs if they get tax cuts. Fact: This is trickle down economics. Businesses hire when they have a demand for product and supplies. If given tax cuts, businesses sit on the money as long as possible, saving it rather than putting it back into the economy or hiring new workers.
   
6. Health Care Reform cost a trillion dollars. Fact: The new health care package cuts the deficit by $138 billion.
   
7. Social Security is going broke. Fact: Social Security is still running a surplus and is good for at least another 25 years. It cannot legally borrow and therefore cannot contribute to the deficit. The big problem is that people are simply living longer with fewer babies dying at birth or shortly thereafter.
8. Government spending takes money away from the economy. Fact: Government money is used to build and repair infrastructure like roads, airports, ports, courts and schools. Very little of the government budget goes to welfare, foreign aid and other social programs. The biggest drain on the national budget is defense and military spending.
   

Bottom line...if the GOP gets in and starts to put back into place the old policies...America will go broke....period.
If the GOP gets back in and pulls back on stimulus money....America will go into a depression, the likes of which has never been seen before.
If the GOP gets back into power and repeals health care...the deficit will triple and probably quadruple...but by then...most of us won't be around to see it..


The choice is yours...Go forward to recovery or go back to the dark ages. For some of us...the good ole days that the teabaggers talk about never existed in the first place.

GOP Anticipation

Wow! The Good Ole Party of No is sooooooooo sure it's got the mid term elections on lockdown, that it is already telling us, in real terms, what it plans to do over the next two years, starting in January..

They plan to:

1. Abolish the public school system...not just the federal Department of Education..the whole system
2. Privatize and cut back on Social Security
3. Privatize and eliminate Medicare and Medicaid
4. Eliminate Food Stamps for everyone
5. Eliminate federal minimum wage right after they eliminate unemployment insurance
6. Repeal Health Care Reform
7. Repeal all new banking regulations or gut them back to what they were when Bush ran the country.
8. Keep Don't Ask, Don't Tell in place
9. Keep foreign money flowing secretly into GOP coffers
10. Kick all brown immigrants out of the country
11. Forever ban gay marriage
12. Roll back all anti discrimination and anti affirmative action legislation
13. Repeal all pro choice laws and ban birth control
14. Repeal the 14^th Amendment to the Constitution
15. Bring back slavery, reinterpret the Constitution to allow for establishment of a national religion

Okay that last one would literally start a war.....but some of them think they can win that
too...they've armed for that one for a long time...they call it RAHOWA or racial holy war....google it if you don't believe me....

And, the coup de grace....they are going to try to impeach Obama....just like they did with
Clinton....WHY?....you ask...or HOW?

Don't matter....They will think of something...They don't need reasons...this is payback for putting a Black man in the White House...their house...as they see it.....

And who is making all these promises....ALL OF THEM...THE CANDIDATES...THE GOP/ TEABAGGERS....and they just know the Blue Dog Dems will help them out....this is their hole card..

Another GOP Bimbo Eruption

The Republican Party has become Amazon Country...the party of real, imaginary women and girly men.

John McCain had absolutely no idea what he was about to start when he chose that fresh faced Sarah Palin as his running mate back in 2008. The “babe” as Mount Rushbaugh called her at the time, was totally unqualified to be tapped as a candidate for vice president, and most pundits figured her selection was merely McCain's way of giving up without having to actually say, “no mas.”

The election was a landslide that republicans continue to this day, to spin as a close race, that Palin/McCain almost won, making Palin a household name instead of relegating her to the fate of trivia question answer as is the fate of most VP's successful or otherwise.

Looking back, the only thing really new about the Palin choice was the fact that she was a real live girl instead of the girly men of recent GOP history, like Dan Quayle or George W. Except for gender, both of these less than he man types have more in common with the intellectually challenged Palin then they did with the rugged Ronald Reagan or even George the first variations on the usual vanilla masters of the universe theme.

Nobody on the GOP side cared if these dimmer than usual bulbs destroyed the world as they studied for their foreign affairs policy credentials, and they were apparently willing to let Sarah study on the job as well, witness her continuing occupation of center stage these days.

Now comes 2010, and the Bimbo Eruption is on full blast. The original and real live Bimbo having decided to make money and to play kingmaker instead of be king, proving that she may not be as dumb as we all like to think, is being cloned. The GOP is looking for a new “Sarah” that looks, acts, talks and feels exactly like the original.

Fresh out of Delaware and in competition for the seat vacated by Joe Biden comes Christine O'Donnell, the latest teabagger heart throb. O'Donnell couldn't be elected dog catcher, let alone US Senator, if you listened to the pre election hype. Yet, somehow she managed to upset a veteran republican for Biden's old seat.

Christine was endorsed by the prototype and shares similar views, meaning she is an abstinance candidate among other things, going so far as to say that masturbation should be illegal and adultery a crime.

Adultery a crime? No wonder she doesn't sit well with the regular honchos of the GOP. But Lady Sarah is happy, no doubt, since another of her “mini-mes” has emerged victorious. Wonder if Sarah will introduce Chrissy to her witch doctor? Oh wait, Chrissy had one on the podium behind her last night, except she called him her lawyer.

But it must be remembered that this is just a primary. In other words it was a family quarrel. It wasn't the battle or the war. She still has to face the “other America.” You know, those of us who don't belong in this country according to their faction of the GOP. Truth be told, she probably would not have won if the GOP members had turned out to vote, which they didn't.

Because like all of these “teabagger victories” nobody is turning out to vote. Something that the MSM fails to put into perspective. The wins are minority wins from within the minority. If 50% of those eligible took part, then it might have been significant, maybe. But in all cases...from Joe Miller in Alaska, to Sharron Angle in Nevada, to Nikki what's her name in South Carolina, to Rand Paul in Kentucky, to Carly Fiorina and Meg Whitman in California...nobody is turning out to vote...But this is normal for primaries in America. Party faithful elect the candidates, while the electorate chooses the winners.

So to recap we have the Drama Queen from Wasilla begetting Nikki Haley, the maybe adultress from the Palmetto State who begat Rand Paul the clueless from Kentucky, who begat Sharron “I see aliens everywhere” Angle from the desert, who begat Joe “please don't make me drive” Miller from Alaska, who begat Christine the giant killer from Delaware.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm....Who's in trouble in November, again?

GOP-The Definition of Crazy

The standard definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.

Health care reform is now law and some of the mandates kick in as soon as Obama sets his signature on the document. The very first mandate out of the box is cash money to senior citizens. A rebate from medicare. $250 in spendable greenbacks to all old people regardless of their tea party affiliations or not.

Obama is cutting a check to the elderly. Now how many of those old geezers do you think are going to refuse that snail mail from their socialist government, hmmmmmmmmmm?

They're gonna treat it just like they treat their social security, their medicare, and all that other socialistic crap they get from the government all the time.

Next thing the butterscotch colored Marxist has done is made it illegal for insurance companies to cancel out the claims of really sick people. Think people are going to pull the plug on themselves. Not!

Oh, and those kids born into the world with serious illnesses, well now the insurance companies can not refuse to grant their parents coverage. Think parents are going to opt out and watch their kids die?

Sounds pretty pro life to me.

Republicans have gone lawsuit crazy all over the country claiming that health care reform is not constitutional. They are staking their claim on what's called the individual mandate. What this is, is the requirement contained in the bill that makes everyone buy health insurance. The goobers of the GOP say there is no precedent and therefore it is illegal. The government can't force us to do anything like that.

Well, not exactly. Once again the GOP has staked its claim on a foundation built on quicksand. The Constitution of the United States is a very broad document and very little of it is absolute. In addition to Article 6, which is the big one...there are other little phrases and mandates built in...

Ya gotta read the whole thing...not just the parts you like....kind of like interpreting the Bible. Here is a very good explanation for those of you inclined to read further.

Besides, the individual mandate is a tax provision and governed by more powerful laws than just the tiny phrase cherry picked by the GOP. Boehner and company have also been lying about people being thrown in jail if they refuse to buy health care. That is simply not true. They may be hit with a tax, but won't get jail time.

No precedent? Think again...Think cigarette tax...It costs you a lot to kill your lungs and those of the people around you. A tax of this kind is called promoting the general welfare of the public. Since the tax and making everyone buy insurance, lowers the cost for all and reduces the wear and tear on hospital emergency rooms it too falls under the panoply for the good of the general public.

And what about the argument that the government can't penalize you for doing nothing ...Try not paying your taxes come April 15^th...I dare you..

Historically speaking, government individual mandates date all the way back to 1792. Look up the history about State Militias and who was required to buy a gun.

What will play a big part, in these GOP lawsuits is judicial activism. Want examples of judicial activism that sets precedent, if only temporarily, then check out the Missouri Compromise, the Dred Scott decision and Brown v Board of Education.

Don't want to go back that far, then confine your search to the currently sitting Roberts Supreme Court and the various rulings that have come to date on campaign financing, abortion rights, and affirmative action to name a few subjects.

Even conservative law professors say the GOP really has no leg to stand on when it comes to states rights and health care reform. But stranger, crazier things have happened.

So don't hold your breath.

For Want of a Statesman

Is there not one principled man or woman within the Republican Party willing to step forward and take responsibility for the rabid and violent masses running roughshod over our country? Is there not one person in the GOP who found the uncivil actions of the mob this past weekend, reprehensible and worthy of condemnation?

Or is this what politics and public discourse have become, foul name calling, spit hurled amid threats of violence against those who harbor differing opinions?

Is America just one violent incident away from an attempt to tip over the melting pot that we sorta celebrate as the foundation of the American Dream? Is the dream dead? Or perhaps I should say, are the dreams dead, the American one and Martin's vision of America? Has it died, too?

No one of a certain age in this country is surprised at hearing the words nigger and faggot thrown at us, just because. The only thing missing this past weekend, were the angry police, attacking dogs and fire hoses. Maybe that's progress, ya think? This kind of behavior was at one time codified in law, and continues to be taught as gospel in huge segments of the population. This behavior, if you can get close enough to talk to some of them view it as their god given first amendment right to exercise against us or our ideas. They have a right to say anything and in any way they choose because they were born to this right.

But this is not first amendment. This behavior is not written into the Constitution. This is not protected speech under the law. What happened this past weekend was the exercise of white privilege and the inherent belief that Black and Native Americans are inferior and are therefore subject to the whims of the perceived majority.

The perceived majority, (and I use that term only to reflect that white people are disappearing as quickly as real Black people), has never apologized for anything. The perceived majority has never acknowledged the actions of the past. It refuses to recognize that what this country is today is built on a foundation created from the blood, sweat, tears and determination to survive of people of color. Oh yes, the majority apologized to the Japanese, even paid them to be quiet-reparations for unjust internment that lasted what, five or six years at the most?

Native Americans have never really been absorbed into the fabric while Black people, well we stand out on the fabric like sequins on a party dress, impossible to hide or blend in. Other ethnicities have come to America, and been met with the same vicious discrimination, but with a difference. These other ethnicities, the Irish, and the Italians and the Polish and Slavs, all have white skin, a natural camouflage that eventually allowed them access. So they stepped up and over us, and joined in the “coon-hunt” because we can't blend in, ever.

Anyone who has ever looked at pictures of the 4000 some lynchings that took place in this country and wondered how could so called good people take part, need look at what happened in DC this past weekend at the Tea Party rallies and understand. And for the record, lynching has never been outlawed in America. People simply stepped up to stop it. But who is stepping forward now?

What was different about the past, is that there were people who were willing to come forward, to take the reins and say “enough.” There were people who were willing to lead by both word and example out loud, reminding their mob that we are all children of somebody's god.

There were men who were willing to say “I'm sorry” and know innately that “I'm sorry” would not diminish their character or statesmanship, but would, on the contrary, enhance it. They were not perfect men, by any stretch of the imagination and usually took part in some of the foolishness themselves. However, they were decent men and principled men, tempered in the fires of morality and justice. They knew when they crossed the line and when to step back.

These men didn't stand in the well of the Peoples' House and rant, attempting to substitute lies and profanities for truths and statesmanship. True statesman don't catcall their fellows or verbally attack Presidents, nor condone the cretinous actions of the mob toward the so called opposition.

Real statesmen don't employ a blame the victim mentality, hiding behind hollow words and excuses. At least in sports, the players still shake hands after the game is contested and a winner has been declared. After the game the players and coaches go on television to talk about what went wrong, but not to blames or to castigate the other team. The coach takes responsibility. The players take responsibility for their actions.

Why are there no coaches in politics? Why are there no statesmen or women stepping forward to squelch the ugliness of their followers? Thuggery should not be tolerated in the halls of congress or on the streets of America, especially when directed at other Americans, because in this game, we are all American.

This country is not your country, it is not my country, it is our country. Like or not, we will live and we will die together.

Friday Rap

Being snowed in for two weeks and totally stir crazy makes me want to lash out and punch people, so today, I'm going to hit out at some of my favorite punching dummies, as well as a couple of new ones...

Don't Ask Don't Tell...

DADT does more than affect gay people. Black women are the primary group being bounced from the military because of this policy...There's a report from the government that shows black women who refuse to sleep with or welcome sexual advances from male officers or fellow soldiers are routinely turned into the brass as lesbians, whether they are or are not. Many women being bounced are in fact straight black women.....screwed no matter what...

John Mayer c'mon down!

What the hell is a hood pass, and who are the one or two Black people who thinks this loose lipped mufuca can entertain? He is known mainly for talking about sex with his exes....Other than the fact that his jump offs are all white...along with his apparently racist and right wing leaning wienie...

Why should we care what he says.....It's not like he's Robin Thicke or Tom Jones or Tina Marie, for god's sakes...He used us in the ugliest way possible in order to get his pub...now he needs to go sit down, before somebody really introduces him to Hood life and slaps him like the little bitch that he is...

GOP c'mon down!

What the gay ole party has been doing these past couple of years is BOYCOTTING Obama, not obstructing. When you refuse to support, or attempt to stop something no matter what...that is a boycott or a strike...

It is not an obstruction...an obstacle, or obstruction...can be moved....The GOP has been doing the “we shall not be moved shuffle” since they lost the election. Doesn't matter what Obama says or tries to do, the GOP is agin it, period. They prefer to be called obstructionists because the word implies that someday in the future they might come around and work for the American people..not! They are protecting their ass which is what mediocre politicians do...

But we all know this is never going to happen as long as Obama is in the White House and many Americans, both Black and White continue to listen to GOP lies and bullshit.

Case in point....Medicare..

The GOP has been trying to kill this program since Ronnie Ray-gun spoke out about it back in the day. Yet, the GOP has used the threats of Medicare program cuts and the formation of alleged death panels to scare old people into believing that Obama, by working for healthcare reform, is trying to shorten their stay on earth.

The GOP is in fact, now painting itself as the only hope for a program it's been vigorously trying to kill for the past 40 years....And people are buying the Bullshit!

Problem is...that funny old program called Medicare has to go away according to the GOP plan...don't believe me...read their plan for the future...the one they say...well....the one Sarah Palin, her advisers and some of the GOP vocally support right now..Fair weather congressman, Orangeman John Boehner is as usual, hedging his bets....won't support it...but won't say it sucks either....

The GOP plan for America also wants to privatize Social Security...but we heard that from Dubya a few years ago....so that's not new either....Can you imagine where you'd be if social security had been tied to the stock market these past few years....

The GOP is still working for big business and wall street..

This Road Map to the future also contains more bones for the insurance/healthcare industry than ordinary people...Should have called this mess...the Plan for Erasing the Middle Class.

Was put out of its misery yesterday by Harry Reid....the plan had more tax cuts for big business then it had help for the unemployed...

Did you know that the Centers for Disease Control predicts that half of all the little Black babies born this year, will develop Diabetes during their lifetime? Yeah....I'm not kidding...

We already die quicker than white people....Black people die from the stress of being black in America...women die from HIV/AIDS from sleeping with DL black men.....Black on black crime has taken a couple of generations of very young black men and now it is taking young black women....

And now the babies are in danger from yet another controllable situation....

The Politics of Seduction

And President Barack Obama is a master. Once again, after being backed into a corner during the past couple of months, he came out swinging, slamming an oratorical home run over the left field fence, temporarily making me forget the year that was 2009. I loved the speech. In fact, I love listening to Obama talk. While he talks I am inclined to believe everything he says. I tend to take all that he says at face value. I want the feel good snake oil that he peddles every time he opens his mouth to address the American people. His best speeches are like sex on a crowded beach at high noon, crawling with people, walking by, as you surreptitiously get it on, covered by a not big enough towel with a stranger you met twenty minutes before. A stolen, impulsive adrenaline rush kind of moment that you want to go on forever, but doesn't, because it can't.

And now, its the next day and the thrill is gone. The speech is over leaving only the echo of his voice in your mind. Hollow. The politics of seduction, having worked its magic and done its job, fading away in the cold fog of the morning after.

So in the filtered light of a new day, let's look at the speech, shall we........

Don't ask, don't tell...remains a vague promise....no deadline...sometime this year he will work for it..

Jobs...calling on business to help...like before...tax cuts to make it so....republican solution..another failed attempt at bipartisan politics

Bitch slapped the Supremes....I did like that.....How can these fools not understand that the Sup co ruling just opened us up to some foreign government like China or even rich man Bin Laden, spending bucks to gift wrap a legal Manchurian candidate for the American people...

His announced intention to go forward with health care reform is good...his blast at the scaredy cat democrats who are backing down was on time. My fear is that what will come is even less than what is currently on the table, and what is currently on the table, sucks...no other way to describe it.

President Obama did go school yard on the GOP, putting them on blast for refusing to take part in governance of the country. Did they hear him? Probably not, judging from their response delivered by the latest Mitt Romney clone, who's upside is that he is not Mitt Romney.

This slight of hand spending freeze...put off for a year...but still nothing less than a covert shout out to conservatives..another attempt to placate them.

Liked his tone. Obama took the middle ground between Fresh Prince Carlton and John Shaft. He didn't back down, instead striking just enough of the right note for the conservative talking heads to resurrect the old “he's arrogant” insult again.

If white people call him arrogant, it means he's doing something right like challenging their sense of control. “the boy just won't stay in his place!”

That's a good thing.

So to conclude, I like the speech. It was the right one for the time. Obama is still the best option given the choices of what else is available. It remains to be seen, however, if he was successful at taking back control of his own narrative from the conservative spin doctors.

And I just wish he'd have slapped the GOP obstructionists as hard as he came down on the Supremes.

Can we please be done with people who think making baby litters takes some kind of skill and that raising the rugrats is 24/7 entertaining to the rest of us?

Reality TV in general functions with a “crabs in the barrel mentality” powered by a 3 year old's definition of what makes entertainment....watching people try to destroy or humiliate others is not entertainment..taking somebody down is not fun nor does it feel good....if it did...we all wouldn't bother to hide behind computer screens shunning face to face contact, fearful of rejection..

turn off the TV.....get a real face to face life....think...friends in person...think talking across a dinner table...think wine.....lots and lots of wine.....think sex.. real sex, not simulated or porno playing on a screen.....reach out and touch...contact..

I know you have to deal with all this peripheral BS for the cameras....but we the people could use a little help in your spare time...

Like jobs, for instance...that will secure the election if you can jump start the employment scene by summer..
