Taking Back Their Country.

Will somebody please tell me what kind of symbolism is being invoked tomorrow when the GOP and it's arrogantly imbecilic cousin the Tea Party reads the Constitution during swearing in ceremonies on Capital Hill?

Is this symbolizing the taking back of their country? Inquiring minds want to know?

I thought they'd all read the document and comitted it to memory before they got to Washington.

Othewise how else would they know that Obama is so wrong in his approach to governing the country, other than looking at him, of course.

If they decide to impeach Obama for not being a citizen...are they going to kick John McCain out of Congress, too? McCain was born in Panama...by the way...

What about the one drop rule...is it being written into the Constitution and made to apply to men, since that is the only way it would apply to Obama?

Just askin'

If the new rulers in Washington are really serious about balancing the budget...

1...Are they willing to give back their own health care...when they repeal mine?

2...Are they willing to cut their own salaries....not just their office budgets....by 50%...to show they mean what they say....After all, Why do congressmen need six figure salaries with government spending so out of whack and 15 million Americans are out of work...Congressmen sit on corporate boards and draw salaries...their wives and mistresses are kept employed by lobbyists seeking their votes...and their kids' education are paid for by these same lobbyists, when the kid can't qualify for a legacy grant, or given a job just to keep his daddy or mommy happy and voting for corporate welfare. Will these legacy brats be prevented from using affirmative action grants that were created to help the poor...the name Quayle comes to mind in this context...

If government workers can be laid off or have their salaries frozen to cut the deficit...why not Congressmen and judges? Presidents should be excluded from this salary cut because his is a 24/7 job, unlike Congress. Proof of this is in the incoming speaker's reported office hours and location after 5pm daily.

3....What about the Defense budget....will it be cut and the money redirected into energy programs designed to benefit all instead of just those wealthy enough to invest? When is Congress going to go after Defense contractors and their supporters who have been stealing from the government for years...the names Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Haliburton and Blackwater come to mind..Are these the upcoming investigations that they are promising?

4....How about ending the wars....is that gonna happen quicker? Why are we fighting over there anyway? What's so wrong with a people determining its own method of governance? Why do we have to constantly rebuild the rest of the world in our own image?

5....What happens to all outdated weapons programs...talking about the ones the military says it no longer needs? Why are certain members of Congress still demanding they be funded?

6....What about other useless pork barrel projects? Or is it time to admit that these projects are nothing more than welfare for the wealthy to keep them happy and voting republican?

7....Farm subsidies to rich farmers....the name Bachmann comes to mind...Why are we paying farmers not to grow food? Why are we paying farmers to produce corn for ethanol when most American cars can't use it yet?

8...What about job projects to put people back to work? Why not a new conservation corps to work on roads, highways, bridges and trains? When is Congress going to get serious about job loss and outsourcing that has literally killed the manufacturing base? Why not make all America corporations come back to America to employ Americans?

9....Congress votes this week to raise the debt ceiling.....Isn't that counter to what all the teabaggers and GOP have campaigned against before coming to DC? How are they going to justify this increase....same way they justified extending the Bush tax cuts....pretending they are Nike...just do it?

10....Are they going to make us better off come 2012, considering all they're offering is a re run of 2004 and 2008 in both policy and personnel?

Rather than reading the Constitution....the GOP should read the psychological definition of crazy out loud until it sinks in.....”doing the same thing over and over...but expecting different results..” That's crazy...

Let the games begin....

Compromise and Capitulation-Another White House Cave-in

(Open letter #4 to President Obama)

“we cannot play politics at a time when the American people are looking for us to solve problems.” -Barack Obama

Dear Sir,

This statement, like all of your other statements are very high brow and noble and full of pristine thinking. However, the GOP has been speaking and communicating in layman's terms since you took office two years ago.

What they're saying in common speak is “fuck you” Mr. President, “fuck you” middle class and all this time you've been singing background harmony.

They went into the meetings daring you to call their bluff and you blinked. Again. You even gave them more than they said they wanted. Lowering the estate tax more than they've ever asked..that's a wet dream for a rich man...doesn't help the poor man in any way shape or form.

None of this decreases the deficit. And by the way, where are the teabagging deficit hawks? Still waiting to hear from them. They can't vote until January, but, hell, they're not even talking.

Wha sa matta u Teabags...GOP got your tongue, too?

The GOP is not having any trouble playing politics with the lives of American people. We feel like we're in a fight but our hands are tied behind our back. We have to stand there and be pummeled by the no brained thug brought in to beat us into submission.

Where's the fight, Mr. President? Where's the change from Washington politics business as usual? Where's the change that we can believe in?

So far, all we have is Bush policy 2.0 except it has BHO in the signature line, these days. It's not compromise when you're always on the losing end.

That's a flat out ass whuppin', stomped and bloodied.

Extending the Bush tax cuts for two years, unnecessarily drains the federal coffers of more money but also puts the cuts into play in an election year, 2012. The country couldn't afford the tax cuts when Bush created them. We can afford them even less in addition to two illegal wars, a recession weak economy and a massive big pharma authored drug plan.

So what is this? You setting yourself up to fail? If you don't want the job, then don't run. Step aside and let somebody else with a stomach for street fighting take a crack at it.

Would it have been so hard to call the GOP's bluff and let the tax cuts expire? The money saved could have been used to fund stuff that needs fixing.

And what about the START treaty? Is that going to be signed or is the party of NO going to work to destroy the world in a nuclear holocaust now that it has effectively trashed America?

More important, are you going to stand by and continue to co sign on their actions?

What about DADT...is it dead? How about the DREAM Act or DOMA or ENDA? All dead because the GOP told you NO? You can't get them to compromise now...with a majority in Congress. What happens come January when they control the House? Do you really think these bills are going to pass?

Walking the walk is much more important than talking the talk, Mr. President. Don't need no more pretty speeches and soaring words....need some action....need  to throw some punches ...need to bury your size 12 in somebody's GOP ass...

It feels good to sweat....C'mon Mr. President...time to sweat for something other than a pick up basketball game on Sunday with your chums.

Is this Your America?

The GOP plan for the future...

Campaign rhetoric is off the charts since the mere threat of a Black man taking the White House crystallized from talk to reality. The calls from the right have often bordered on sedition, secession and in some cases, outright treason. As November 2nd draws near, the rhetoric has turned to violence, as witnessed outside the Conway/Paul debate of a couple of nights ago.

Groups of men beating up and stomping on minorities and women exercising their rights is sadly, all too common throughout American history. The only thing new about this latest occurrence was the fact that it was a white woman being stomped.

If you listen to the national news media, the so called pundits and talking heads, as well as read the polls conducted by these same entities, you get the feeling that the Democrats and Obama by proxy, are cooked. There is no chance to return to power.

You also get the feeling that America will return to “normal” whatever that is, as soon as the bums are tossed out.

Ego driven rallies are being held across the country like the one here in Cincinnati by Governor wannabe John Kasich, who conducted a GOP “victory “ rally this past Monday, when we don't vote until next week.

Congressman John Boehner has already reportedly picked out the new drapes for his new office as Speaker of the House, replacing the vilified Nancy Pelosi. Again, the people have not yet spoken.

Kentucky Congressman Mitch McConnell has already said there will be no bi partisan governance nor compromise WHEN the GOP returns to power on November 3rd.

The GOP has laid out a number of things that will happen following their swearing in:
John Boehner will make the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest 1% permanent, thereby increasing the deficit that he rails about now, by 3 trillion dollars....He has no plan to pay for those tax cuts, by the way.

In fact, all GOP members of Congress are on record wanting to increase the deficit by extending the tax cuts.

Boehner will have the age limits changed on social security. He wants you to work longer before you get your money...and it is your money..you worked for it and saved it. Boehner will also vote to privatize social security, placing it at the mercy of the winds of wall street.

Boehner will cut non defense federal spending, taking it back to pre stimulus 2008 levels. This move will stifle any growth that has been achieved since implementation of the stimulus package...a package created by the Bush Administration and passed by Boehner and company before Obama came to power.

The stimulus was good thing when Bush was in office...now it's a bad thing...regardless of how it is helping the economy recover....because it was put into effect by Obama.

No the stimulus did not create jobs as promised. But then it really wasn't big enough either. However it did keep things from getting worse.

The bloated defense budget complete with spending on two illegal wars will remain tact, according the GOP, siphoning money away from the needs of the American people. It's like pouring sand down a rat hole...useless.

The GOP says it will stop illegal immigration....how? Don't know...their billion dollar boondoggle of a security fence is not working and will probably be dismantled, according to recent reports out of Homeland Security.

Increasing troops along the border is one way...but then you come back to that problem of raising taxes to pay for it.

Some members of Congress just simply want to close the borders and deny citizenship to children born on American soil to undocumented people, which flies against the very definition of American.

The real truth is that fewer people are coming to America due to the lousy job situation here and better enforcement along the borders. The question always has been what to do about the 12 million undocumented already here, who work and pay taxes by the way.

The GOP in congress says it will repeal the health care reform law....block campaign finance reform....repeal wall street regulations.....deny further unemployment benefits to those still out of work....keep DOMA in place as the law of the land....refuse to make ENDA law....keep DADT as the rule for the American military.

This is what the GOP is promising to do. Add these promises to the list of things the GOP/Tea Party candidates want to do, such as:

Change the United States Constitution

Implement a National religion

Shut down the Depts of Education, Veterans Administration, Environmental Protection Agency

Gut the social security surplus

Do away with medicaid and drastically cut back on medicare

Repeal the minimum wage

Repeal Roe v Wade

Impeach Obama

You have to ask yourself....is this the America that you really want to live in?

Vote November 2nd!

You Should Vote Republican in November

If....You believe that a party who admits it has no legislation and therefore no solution to the problem is better at governing America..

"We will lose on legislation. But we will win the message war every day, and every week, until November 2010,"........ "Our goal is to bring down approval numbers for [Speaker Nancy] Pelosi and for House Democrats. That will take repetition. This is a marathon, not a sprint." -Rep. Patrick McHenry, GOP North Carolina

You should vote Republican in November if..........you believe that John McCain, John Boehner, Eric Cantor, David Vitter, Haley Barbour, Michele Bachmann, Virginia Fox, Linsey Graham, Jim DeMint and Mitch McConnell can do a better job of keeping this country out of an economic depression.

You should vote Republican in November if.....you believe this country should go to war with Iran while allowing Israel to simultaneously pull us into in a war with Palestine within the next two years, and that's before we get out of Afghanistan.

You should vote Republican in November if...... you really believe that tax cuts for the wealthiest 10th of the American population will translate into 15 million middle class jobs instead of a trillion dollar increase in the deficit over the next generation.

You should vote Republican in November if.......you really believe that the GOP WILL force big business to bring back all those outsourced jobs to the third world and put Americans back to work.

You should vote Republican in November if......you believe that out of work Americans are lazy and can't find a new job because they're not looking.

You should vote Republican in November if......you think unemployment insurance benefits gives people a reason NOT to look for a job.

You should vote Republican in November if.....you believe that the GOP will end DADT and repeal DOMA while allowing Domestic Partner benefits to stay on the books...

You should vote Republican in November if.....you think medicare, medicaid and social security should be privatized or eliminated altogether.

You should vote Republican in November if.....you think health care reform should be repealed and 40 million Americans don't need health insurance.

You should vote Republican in November if.....you think the public school system should be shut down

You should vote Republican in November if......big business should be allowed to leverage elections in favor of the candidates who benefit business most.

You should vote Republican in November if.....you believe this really is your country and you need to take back control.

You should vote Republican if......you believe it's okay to actively discriminate against gay people until you, yourself get forced out of the closet and made to reveal your own hidden sexual proclivities.

You should vote Republican if......you believe it's okay to rail against the stimulus as not working while taking credit for it back home.

You should vote Republican if........you believe, it's okay to drink your dinner daily, patronize prostitutes, cheat on your wife, and employ wife beaters on your staff while castigating anyone else who engages in similar behavior as morally bankrupt.

You should vote Republican if........you feel America needs a state religion.

You should vote Republican if.........you believe women are incapable of making their own decisions and don't deserve equal pay for equal work

You should vote Republican if.........you believe that global warming is a myth...that the glaciers are not melting...the continents not sinking....and mother nature can handle the ozone problem naturally without any help from those of us who created the problem in the first place.

You should vote Republican if........you really and truly believe that come Nov 3rd, when the GOP takes over, the world will revert back to the way it was....

That Sarah Palin or a man named Newt are the next coming of Ronald Reagan and John Wayne combined...
That Obama won't be president....
That Black people, women and gays will stop being so uppity and visible...
That everyone will suddenly seek their answers from a christian god...
That all Mexicans and Chicanos will suddenly decide to go home to Mexico...
That Darwinism will disappear from science books or slavery will disappear from history books....
That Muslims will be stripped of their citizenship, even if they were born here....

That Pat Boone will do a cover of Gin n Juice and rocket to the top of the BillBoard Charts, putting vanilla rock back in control on the radio...

Or, that the world will end on 2012 ...or earlier in May, 2011, if you believe in a certain evangelical preacher in California...

The Poisoning of Puerto Rico

If your Puerto Rican friends go home to the island for a visit, return to the hood and start growing an extra set of arms, you will understand why after reading this.

Once again the government is refusing to admit responsibility, totally denying there is a problem. The federal courts are so far blocking all lawsuits in connection.

Face to face...belly to belly...not anymore...

The art of conversation is passing out of existence...a report out today says that voice communication on cell phones is stagnating...meaning there is more texting and data tranferral going on than anything else....talking...well.... no one is doing it....apparently not even on the telephone these days....

The problem with labeling yourself King is that once you do it....you have to live up to it...as in win championships...disappearing when the game is on the line....not good...maybe it's the curse of Cleveland...maybe a change of scenery will help....New York, maybe?

Won't matter, Kobe and Phil are still together in Los Angeles...

11th Leading cause of death in America is suicide...in fact there are twice as many suicides in the US as there are murders each year. According to the Center for Disease Control, men, Native Americans, white people and those primarily between the ages of 45 and 54 are the ones doing away with themselves.

Used to be only people over 80 were killing themselves in record numbers. You can read it here.

That's just nasty

Seems many people like to eat while they bang on their keyboards..and I'm no exception...However...I don't allow the food to touch the board...I don't even sit whatever I'm munching on, on the same table...meaning I literally have to pivot in my seat to reach the snack....

But I guess most don't take those precautions because a new report out today says people are endangering their health by eating while typing....

So what's the danger of a few cookie crumbs caught between your keys.....Mice! Disease carrying mice!

Gorgeous George Rekers

The right reverend George has resigned his position at his anti gay organization NARTH, the group that says gays can be cured...this from a guy who vacations with male hookers that he finds on the internet..

Question: If homosexuality can be cured....why didn't Georgie cure himself? Hmmmmmmmm?

And where is Georgie's ex...the Reverend James Dobson in all this...you telling me he didn't know when he and Georgie founded their Family Focus Council or whatever it is?

Maybe Dobson was blinded by Georgie's Village People mustache and couldn't see past the bush...

Arizona hates colored people

************************************************************

HOW ABOUT IT, CINCINNATI REDS....MOVE SPRING TRAINING OUT OF ARIZONA AND BACK TO FLORIDA!

***********************************************************

Now the bigots in Arizona are justifying their ethnic cleansing campaign by using Dr. Martin Luther King's I Have a Dream speech.....as an illustration of the kind of stuff that teaches folks to hate white people...

Trust me when I say this white people....you don't have to do another thing...to make us not like you...you've got years....years of shit...we can hate you for.....

An ethnic studies class is only the tip of the iceberg.....ethnic classes don't even begin to scratch the surface...

Outlaw them if you want to...won't make any difference...except maybe by creating that HUGE multi colored voting block that scares the crap out of republicans...

Ethnic Solidarity....can't wait for the elections come November.....

Obama already has 99% of the black vote....Imagine...99% of the Hispanic vote...99% of the Native American vote....99% of the Muslim vote....the stuff of nightmares for teabagging bigots..A real PUSH Rainbow Coalition...Jessie Jackson is cheesin' somewhere in Chicago at the thought...

Think about it GOP...ya'll done f**** up again..And there not enough deluded Clarence Thomas, Shelby Steele, or Michael Steele types runnin' around to save your ass...

Friday Rap

Michele Bachmann, that self described “lovable little fuzzball” is coming to Cincinnati tonight. She is headlining the Hamilton County Republican Dinner, which is being held at Paul Brown Stadium. I guess they are expecting a lot of people to show up tonight.

The whole Tea Bagger party has been invited, I understand. Tea Baggers live mostly outside of the Nati city limits, but they do drive in via the interstates to attend football games. They do know where the stadium is, even if they don't the support the city, itself.

I used to see suburbanites in my neighborhood all the time, driving through the hood looking for drugs. But not so much anymore since the police have dispatched the meth pushers and weed dealers to the burbs. But I digress.

Bachmann, in case you don't know who she is, is the GOP rep from Minnesota who is presently calling for cancellation of both Medicare and Social Security programs. That should make all those white haired old Republicans happy.

She's against health care reform, too, despite using taxpayer money as a Congressman and to raise a bunch of foster kids. She's been on the dole for years. But I guess we can't call her a welfare queen, can we, since we all know that welfare queens live in the ghetto. Yeah, right.

Rep Steve King-Michele Bachmann in drag

Steve King takes the House floor to defend lobbyists. Says they never, ever, ever lie to him. Says he would cut them off if he found one lying or giving him false information.

Wonder if that includes giving back all the money they've given him over the years.

Check out his statment here.

Jim Bunning

A walking, talking argument for term limits. This senile old coot has been dumped by the GOP in Kentucky, so I guess he is taking it out on everybody else, by blocking the bill that would extend unemployment benefits for 1.4 million Americans.

So much for Republican compassionate conservatism. Bunning says he is worried about the deficit. But like every other GOP member in the House and Senate, deficit spending didn't matter until Obama took office. Now they're worried.

Please!

Palin Watch

Dear Sarah is the next big headliner at the NRA dinner. They like her because she likes guns and shooting things. I know something that Sarah and the NRA could team up for...

The State of Florida has declared open season on big snakes, where anyone with a weapon and a hunting license can go down and shoot and kill any python over 10 feet long. The State estimates there are about 30,000 that need to be killed.

The NRA could do us all a service and go shoot some snakes before they multiply and start migrating cross country.

Sarah could lead the hunt for them. Of course if she's as tough as she pretends to be, she'll fore go the automatic rifle and hunt the big snakes like a pro using a machete to cut their heads off.

That means she'd have to get up close and personal, rather than snipe from a distance.

Obama-lite

That GOP chocolate peril, otherwise known as Michael Steele says reconciliation is a low down, underhanded parliamentary trick that the Democrats want to use to pass health care reform..

Hey Mikey....the GOP uses that trick more often than Democrats....Why is it okay for the Republicans to use it....but not Democrats? Hmmm?

Palin redux

Bill O'Reilly says Lady Sarah needs to go college...I thought she already did that...Several times in fact...

What makes him think it's gonna be any better this time around?
