Obama Comes Out, What Us Black People Gon Do?

President Obama kicked his closet door completely off the hinges today and declared his support for same sex marriage.

It wasn't really a surprise, since most of us figured which way he was “evolving” as he evolved. Some of it, as he said was wrestling with his conscious. But a lot of it was testing the air to see which way the political wind was blowing.

I figured if he was gonna come out, it was going to be around the time the Democrats went for their four year huddle in North Carolina.

But he got pushed a little early on Sunday by his VP who staged a coming out of his own, so to speak.

Regardless of how it happened...how it was staged...how it was completed, I want to say;

Thank you, Mr. President for coming out in favor of equality and dignity for Americans.

Now...what cha'll gon do Black folks?

The polls say we don't support marriage equality. We got blamed for the defeat of Prop 8 in California and I would bet we got some of the blame for the passage of Amendment 1 in North Carolina, on Tuesday.

And any Black gay or lesbian can tell you that our community is very conservative, very bigoted, very homophobic and very non supportive of its own. Many still think that Black gays get gay from hanging out with white people...that it is a white thing...

It's bad enough being gay in America. Try being Black and gay and female. You can be killed, literally for simply talking in support of gay people. The word “faggot” is uttered and heard almost as much as the word “nigger.”

Bulldyke...that's a special slur for us lesbians....lesbos....

So, again, I ask, what cha gonna do, Black people?

Are you going to support the courageous stance taken by America's first Black President and help put him back in the White House.... Give him another four years of pissing off white people?

He got 98% of the Black vote in 2008, remember. Will he be able to muster the troops this time, or will something else happen.

I say something else, because I don't think there is going to be a sudden and rapid exodus by Blacks from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party, just because President Obama supports same sex marriage.

Obama would literally have to declare himself transgendered and seeking sexual reassignment before Mitt Romney would be gifted major votes from the Black Community or the other brown communities in this country.

However, I can see the church ladies and the religious hypocrites withholding donations because of his presidential declaration today.

Some might even choose to sit at home on election day and not vote at all. I can see that happening.

Support the President and piss off white people....or stay home in biblical and righteous indignation..

Mitt Romney=Dubya Squared

Watching and listening to the GOP and conservative right attempt to sell Mitt Romney to the country reminds me of the last time a former friend of mine attempted to hook me up on a blind date.

The first words out of her mouth were “ she has a great personality” and I knew, right then and there, I was in trouble.

“Great personality” is code for ugly as sin, dresses funny and can't hold a conversation longer than “hi.”

That' s Mitt Romney to a “T.” Vanilla ice cream is more exciting.

The word “liar” comes to mind next. All politicians lie. Some of them do it better than others. Take Bill Clinton, for instance. Dude will lie through his teeth, while all the time having his hand up your dress, and the only thing you can do is smile.

President Obama comes close, especially when he tries to sing Al Green or dance with somebody.

But Mitt? Ole button down Mormon Mitt trips over the punch line every single time, no matter how many times he rehearses it. And then he changes it the next time he tries to tell it. Totally boring.

I have never in all of my voting life, which currently spans 41 years and counting, precluded the possibility of voting for a Republican. Never have, yet, although I did go independent, have done some write-ins and one time even voted Communist Party (full disclosure).

But 2012 is not gonna break my streak. Mitt Max Headroom Romney ain't it. He's not even a blind date. We already know so much about this guy, and what I know, I don't like.

I mean, why...under what logic do you place a corporate raider in charge of a whole country? He kills corporations for a living, while making beaucoup bucks for himself, leaving the rest of the workers without jobs, salaries or pension funds.

This is his job description. He is telling you what he is going to do if we put him in the White House.

He has already said he is going to kill public education and the department of education.

He keeps his money overseas, which should tell you what he really thinks about America in general.

He is going to kill the EPA and allow his corporate buds to asphyxiate us when we venture from our homes.

He is setting himself up to be a killer of women by not supporting contraception, birth control and family planning.

He will kill families by not supporting equal pay for women since most families these days are single parent FEMALE headed families.

He has embraced the Ryan Budget which kills social security, medicare, medicaid and food stamps, which is total destruction of the so called national safety net that alleged christian nations pride themselves on having in place, making them appear more Jesus-like.

Even the Catholic Bishops have slammed Ryan and his budget for it's callousness toward poor people. But not good ole Mitt. He is sticking by his little pal to the end.

Good ole boy's club will never die.

Mitt also does not support equality for gays lesbians or any minority that is not white and predominantly male.

And despite his reticence to talk about it, has hired nearly all of George W's advisors except Dick Cheney. But who knows, the Dickster is probably whispering from the sidelines preserving his strength and his new heart.

The scariest of all his advisers to me is that Mitt has hired Robert Bork. Bork is flat out crazy. He is in a category of crazy that cannot be labeled. It's just Bork...totally nuts...totally paranoid....endlessly angry...hates blacks and women without remorse. Think Clarence Thomas with white privilege on steroids.

I could go on and on about why I won't vote for Mitt, but I won't. I will tell you he actually he lost me with Seamus.

Kasich Expands War on Women

You know, Ohio teabaggers must think we the people are dumb as a litter box full of cat shit.

They obviously think that we don't know how to read...that we cannot comprehend what we read, or that we cannot discern political bullshit and mendacity when they throw it at us.

Kasich's boys have done it again...this time they are making no secret of their utter lack of regard for the women of Ohio.

The misogynistic SOBs of the pro life, right wing GOP have stooped to yet another low in Ohio, by secreting an amendment inside the biennial budget bill that would defund Planned Parenthood.

But they aren't calling it “DEFUNDING,” They say it is an amendment that merely CHANGES the line up as to who and when gets federal funds first. Planned Parenthood has been moved to the bottom of the list by this amendment.

And the geniuses think that will keep the defunding move within constitutional limits. And furthermore that we won't notice their underhanded slight of hand magic tricks if they don't refer to their move as DEFUNDING.

Guess we weren't supposed to notice that the measure was also modeled after the one down in Texas...

You know the one that shutdown all healthcare for poor women of the Lone Star State.

Texas had to shut down the clinics because they lost millions of dollars in federal money that would have been used for preventive care for poor and middle class women. And, so far, they don't have enough state funds to replace the lost federal money to keep the clinics open.

Kasich and company have put Ohio in the same stupid ass position.

Thanks to the pending amendment, here in Ohio, the Buckeye State stands to lose more than $9.8 million in federal funds that are earmarked to help women get preventive health care and family planning services, and you know we don't have the local money either.

In addition, the Ohio amendment eliminates funding for the Violence Against Women Act, the Breast and Cervical Cancer Mortality Act, the Infertility Prevention Project, the Minority AIDS/HIV Initiative Program.

Nothing will be funded that smacks of help or family planning services for women..

Face it...we are just shit out of luck. Guess we could do what one of the compassionately conservative lawmaking assholes said on the statehouse floor today....”don't like it catch a bus...”

Um Hmmmm..

Make no mistake about it this bill is strictly and completely about the pro birth movement. It's sole intent is to stop legal abortion, preventing women from having choice.

House Bill 487 says and I quote:

“The department of health shall ensure that all funds it receives through the Violence Against Women Act to distribute as grants for the purpose of education and prevention of violence against women are not used to do any of the following:

(1) Perform elective abortions;
(2) Promote elective abortions;
(3) Contract with any entity that performs or promotes elective abortions;
(4) Become or continue to be an affiliate of any entity that performs or promotes elective abortions.”

The Kasich's boys don't give a damn who dies from cancer or AIDS. They don't care who is denied contraception or birth control and is forced into an accidental pregnancy by rape, incest of other means.
Even if there is no pregnancy, there is the threat of an STD from unprotected sex. What do you do if you neighbor rapes your little girl and she develops gonorrhea or some such disease.
The women serviced by Planned Parenthood....nearly 80% of them, in fact, fall 150% below the federal poverty level.

Some 60% of all Planned Parenthood services have absolutely nothing to do with family planning....It's just basic preventive health care for women.

Like Hell! Ann Romney Don't Speak for Me

Let's get this straight....no matter what stance her husband takes in the current war on women in America...and it does exist...Ann Romney will always come out smelling like a rose.

She will always be able to choose her path, easily, thanks to her husband. She did what American women are taught to do....marry early and marry well...she did that with Mitt.

Choice is what most women in America do not have and will not have if Ann Romney's husband gets elected president of the United States.

Thanks to Mitt, she had the choice of how many children to have. She had the choice of where to educate them. She had the choice of whether or not to utilize nannies. She had the choice of which house to raise them in. She had the choice of what and when to feed them. She has a full time staff to keep the house neat and clean for Willard and his friends.

If Ann Romney ever decided to have an abortion...we would never, ever know it. Her family medical care has been paid for by taxpayers for a lot of her married life, at least while Mitt was a governor.

If Ann Romney decided to divorce her multi millionaire husband, she would be set for the rest of her life. No financial worries ever.

My point is....that Ann Romney may have been a stay at home Mom....but it was in the lap of luxury the whole time...wrapped in choice. She didn't have to do it...be a stay at home mom,,,that is...

Most women cannot step away from their lives if and when they choose. They may marry well...choose well....but a divorce or separation from their spouse can leave them treading water below the poverty line. 

Let's not even get into accidental babies...products of rape or incest or a drunken night out with the neighborhood frat boy.

Ann's hubby wants to make it impossible for most women to family plan, control the size of their families, utilized preventive medicine to stay healthy, or get paid a living wage that equals the wage given men in the work force for the same job.

And I keep hearing about how appealing is Ann Romney. Appealing to who? Romney is the fulfillment of the Sarah Palin legacy...Pretty by GOP standards...but pretty much DOA for the rest of us.

All that really remains is who is going to be Romney's running mate. Several names have been put forth and a few are actually campaigning for the dubious distinction. Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell comes to mind, but that would simply be boredom squared.

Can't be a woman though...already been done and badly....besides the top GOP ladies all have voted against every women's issue that has gone before Congress lately. And SC Governor Nikki can't get her facts straight when talking about her sorors and female gender issues...”No war on women” Governor please!

Today simply marks the first official day of the Romney versus Obama scrum, otherwise known as the 2012 election.

Romney's inability to talk to women has been on display for weeks now. He has his wife talk for him to women, rather than talk directly to us and quite frankly, I don't like that. It's as though we women are all in that “little woman” category. You know how back in the day, when men didn't talk to women or relate to them on any level except a sexual level.

Wives were on the pedestal. Other women were on their backs. No woman was allowed to speak unless spoken to, always to be sent out of the room when they had fulfilled whatever the desire of their lord and master happened to be at the moment.

But then, he can't relate to Hispanic people, or Black people or poor people either. I mean, “Arizona should be the model for the rest of the country when it comes to immigration policy!” Really? I mean really?

If he delegates his wife to talk to the “weaker sex” who is he going to designate to talk to Black people....the chocolate version of dumb and dumber, Allen West and Herman Cain?

Tea Party likes em...but then they absolutely loved Sarah Palin, too.

We all know Marco Rubio is the HHIC...but maybe Romney will bring back Dubya or his namesake nephew, the spanish speaking one.

That's not too far fetched because Romney has already hired half of Shrub's foreign policy and economics crew to advise him.

Toss in Turdblossom and his Crossroads GPS SuperPac and you've got the George W Bush White House, version number 3.

Can end days, armageddon or the real rapture be far behind?

Pink Slime to Stressed Out Chickens-Is Eating Meat Too Dangerous?

Right on the heels of the argument about pink slime or “finely chopped lean beef” additives in our hamburger, comes two studies today talking about the stuff in your chicken.

We already know that chicken nuggets are made from some kind of pink frothy stuff that looks more like soft serve ice cream than chicken. Now comes word that Big Agra is pumping the birds it sells for consumption with drugs.

Specifically, arsenic, benadryl, Tylenol, caffeine, prozac, and cipro (antibiotic) are being fed to the birds, the ones that we eat.

Why?

Well, the arsenic makes the meat pink and more appetizing to the eye, according to the industrial farmers. Benadryl, Tylenol and Prozac, according to the study published by Environmental Science and Technology, are used to calm chicken nerves. This is because stressed out birds make for tough meat and consumers don't like tough meat.

So the Big Agra solution is to dope the birds.

The caffeine, along with green tea powder is reportedly used to keep the birds awake so they will eat more.

But the antibiotics are flat out illegal. Scientists who did the study speculate that this is why virus' are becoming immune to antibiotics...In other words humans are building up deadly tolerances to the meds that might otherwise cure them, due to these illegal drugs in the food.

The scientists who did the studies found out about the illegal stuff by testing chicken feathers, because feathers like fingernails are a repository for what the body has ingested.

And in all fairness most of the doped up birds seem to be coming from China, which means you need to check the chicken package before you put it in your cart.

I found this out when buying fish from Kroger (yeah, I'm naming names). Most of Kroger's bulk fish, (tilapia, cod, salmon) comes from China. It's labeled, so it's not illegal.

Ya need to check your veggies too, found some broccoli from China, as well. I generally buy the big frozen bags. However I make sure they say grown in the USA.

As for this chicken...I switched to Amish chicken, when I do buy it, and the only time I buy ground beef is to mix into my dog's dry food. I have come to accept that fact that while I try to be a vegetarian, but it only lasts for a couple of weeks at a time. Then I want some meat. I do without meat five of seven days per week, every week.

It has come to the point when I do crave, I cook it myself and buy local, organic or Amish. No processed foods, or fast food.

You can keep Big Agra....I'm not gonna let my food kill me...

Health Care Law-Let's Talk About it

Well, the three days of Supreme Court arguments are over, and I wish I felt optimistic about the outcome, but frankly, I'm nervous. The deck has been stacked against we the people from jump and it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see this court throw out the Affordable Health Care Law entirely.

Take for example, the individual mandate clause, which has been the main point of contention. The GOP and its teabagger mini-mes refused to even consider it when the measure, now law, was being argued on Capital Hill.

That was particularly strange since it was conceived by the GOP think tank, The Heritage Foundation and promoted by every GOP legislator, including three of the four currently running for president, prior to 2008. One of them named Mitt actually wrote it into his health care law when he was governor of Massachusetts.

You would think that when Barack Obama embraced this singularly conservative republican idea, that the GOP would have happily supported him in the bi-partisan manner of governance.

Did they? Hell no! They've been fighting it ever since President Obama said it was a good idea for the people. Makes ya think, it is not about the law, it's about the Black man in the White House.

And now, it is at the Supreme Court. A Supreme Court where one justice and his wife are actually on the payroll of that same Heritage Foundation, which has argued vigorously in favor of throwing out the individual mandate because it now says its “baby” is unconstitutional.

Question....if the individual mandate is unconstitutional today...why was it not unconstitutional when it was a republican idea?

It's a sure bet that Justice Clarence will do his dirty work behind the scenes because as has become typical, Thomas has not opened his mouth in open court these past few days. If the Justices do strike down the law, Thomas will have earned his tainted lucre.

I'm sure wifey-poo Ginny will be so proud of her man.

So what happens if the Affordable Health Care Law is struck down? Do the Repubs have a plan?

Well, no they don't. Not one of them who has taken to the airwaves to call for the law to be struck down have a plan. They just want it gone.

If it does go...

So does allowing parents to cover their kids on their insurance until aged 26.

So does coverage for children and people with pre existing conditions...insurance will once again be allowed to deny coverage.

So does the Medicaid expansion that was to be used to give health coverage to the 45-million people who don't have it.

So does the mandate requiring insurance companies to use most of the money collected from premiums to go to medical costs for consumers.

So does free contraception, birth control and other preventive services for women.

So do the mandates requiring restaurants and food companies to tell us what it is they put in our food.

Striking down Affordable Health Care means that men can still buy viagra or ciallis....

It means that Congressmen will still have their health care without penalty.

It means that the insurance companies and the drug companies, for that matter will not be reined in on cost, which will go up and up unregulated.

SUPCO has promised to issue its ruling in late June.

I'm not holding my breath.

I Wish a Nigga Would Ask Me for a Note About My Birth Control Pills

FIRED....For using birth control pills to prevent pregnancy or to simply plan the size of your family...

But okay to use the pills to cure acne or to regulate your periods...

Don't laugh...this is a real bill that has been proposed in Arizona...by a woman, no less. I don't like to call women names, because this is how this crap got started in the first place (think Rush Limpballs).

But this brainless, brainwashed bitch is serious. And of course the no brained neanderthals of her legislature are jumping on the bandwagon and following her over the cliff like a bunch of blind lemmings. They have voted it through the justice committee. Justice committee. Can you believe it...justice for who...not women, certainly. What the hell is going on in Arizona? Have we switched into Bizarro world and nobody knows except Arizona? First they pick on Latinos and brown skinned folks...now they are declaring war on women.

This proposed law wants to give employers the right to deny contraception to women for moral, or non medicinal reasons. It is the boss' sole discretion to grant insurance coverage for birth control as long as it doesn't make him or her feel bad, religiously unrighteous and or morally unclean.

And if the coverage is granted and the boss finds out that women are using the contraception to family plan or just have sex, she can be branded a liar and fired. 

So you know what's next, right...corporations are going to be allowed to not hire women during their optimum breeding years, so there is reduced worry about accidental pregnancies. Good way to lower insurance premiums and also free up the little women to do what god intended them to do....make babies and keep house.

After all women need to be controlled, right fellas....we're sluts if we use birth control pills....We're careless and irresponsible if we get pregnant....and murderers if we terminate the pregnancy....all that by our pretty little selves...no male involvement what so ever...right guys?

And while Arizona is showing its ass, Congressional Teabaggers are attempting to do away with the Violence Against Women Act. The VAWA, like the Voting Rights Act of 1964-65 are not permanent acts and must be renewed, ensuring that the white men who govern this country still have control over minorities.

The teabaggers and GOP are balking because the Violence Act was updated to include gay couples, since same sex marriage is allowable in some states. The GOP is fighting it tooth and nail because the GOP does not support LGBT people, brown people, Latino people for female people. The Violence Act is up for another vote this afternoon on Capital Hill.

If you care, call your congressman or send him an email. These fools need to hear from us.

As for the State of Arizona....how about a practice run for those new bunker buster bombs being built for the Israelis to drop on Iran. Don't want to give our allies any dud weapons, do we? Arizona would be a good place to test out their effectiveness.

The need for dick insurance in America...

The United States is in the midst of celebrating a massive achievement for the people. Health care is finally the law of the land after nearly a century of refusing to address the problem. For women however, the war on our bodies and our control of self, continues unabated. This bill, while a big improvement, is not true health care reform for women.

Men have always been able to use their health insurance to pay for Viagra. Erectile dysfunction is considered a serious ailment for men. Women, however, have to buy birth control out of their own pocket with no help from the insurance companies because birth control is not considered medicinal. Pregnancy and women's health issues are still not covered.

Okay, pregnancy is no longer a pre-existing condition. Birth control pills are used for other health situations besides preventing birth.  But the right to choose is still controversial and under attack by those who claim to be pro life.

They are not.

Pregnancy remains the number one killer of women in America and the world.

Rape is still the weapon of choice used to control or to harm women.

Denying education, and birth control is still standard practice in America and the rest of the universe. In this case there is no difference between the practices of organized American religions and those of the Taliban, and other Eastern extremists religions.

What is going on in Africa, for instance, where women are being brutally raped day after day is being covertly approved of and egged on by American evangelicals who have found fertile ground for their virulent brand of Christianity that seeks to contain and destroy not only women but gays and lesbians seeking equality. The term in Africa is “corrective rape,” used to “change” lesbians into straight women. Impregnating women is a god given right and a sport second only to soccer in magnitude.

Corrective rape is gang rape plied for hours and hours at a time regardless of a woman's orientation.

Despite the so called religious stance, there is not one clause, psalm or phrase or teaching in the Bible that speaks to abortion or the right to choose...not one...

This argument has been going on for centuries and looks like it is going to continue for a while. So I have a solution.

It's time to rein in the royal member...Let's tax the penis. The days of free range dickery must come to an end.

If a man wants to have sex, to create a baby or to just have fun..He should have to face consequences, just like women.

Henry or Lucifer or Big Bob...whatever he names it, should be gift wrapped in latex as a sign of active responsibility. If he wants sex, then a condom is mandatory. Big Bob needs wrap it up or pay a fine for any inadvertent emissions that result in life.

Because if life does in fact begin at conception, then men need to really, really recognize exactly what that means. No more paying lip service to pseudo religious, non scientific fantasy.

If one egg can get a woman in trouble...then so too should one little active swimmer sperm for men.

Men should have to carry a Penis bond card, or proof of dick insurance in their wallet right next to the jimmy, amounting to $500,000. If he impregnates somebody, she gets the money for the resulting child.  Failure to support your creation should be considered assault, punishable by imprisonment.

It takes about half a million dollars to raise one of those little buggers to the age of 18 these days, with 99% of the hassle falling on women. Guys lay down, take their pleasure and then hide behind DNA tests, because they always assume that women are doing it to someone else, too.

Men love to play the victim when it comes to accidental children, denying as long as they can get away with it.

If the man has dick insurance there is no need to chase him down for child support. That becomes a money saver. Think of all the court procedures and police actions and domestic relations happenings that would no longer be necessary.

May even save the lives of some women, because dying during childbirth is not the only thing that pregnancy causes Many men simply kill their sex partners when they get pregnant.

A penis tax might save some lives. It is infinitely more pro life than what is going on now.

If I Wanted Government Up My Ass, I Would Fuck a Congressman

Forgive my bad attitude, but the GOP clown car just parked its anti female jalopy in my backyard.  Oh lucky me.

Saw my first Newt Gingrich ad last night. Messed me up so bad, I pulled out my Xena Collection and loaded episode one on the DVD player. Considering each of Xena's six seasons has about 20 episodes, I'm good until election day in November.

Newt Gingrich on my TV makes me want to hurl. I'll leave the throwing up to Santorum, who is determined to replace the Constitution with the Bible, which is bad luck for me if he succeeds.

Even the possibility of a Santorum Presidency has me talking my dad into giving me a gun, packing my vehicles with supplies and driving deep into Central America never to return to the good ole US of A. No problema, soy habla espanol e portuguese e francais.

Santorum is leading here in Ohio, the home of Oompa Lumpa John the speaker of the house and John-boy Kasich, the clueless. Just what we need, the three stooges reunited in O-high-O. Frothy, Orangy, and Dimwit. Damn!

Makes me so happy, I could just spit. This week is going to be soooooooo much fun! Yeah, about as fun as one of those intravaginal ultrasound probes these fools intend to inflict on women, claiming it is good for a woman's mental and physical health.

I gotta suggestion guys....want to make women feel better? Kill yourselves! Just take a gun and put it to your left temple and pull the trigger. I guarantee women all over the country will feel better.

First came Karl Rove and his Crossroads GPS  prevarications. Then came the candidate specific Super Pacs. Now come the candidates, Romney, Santorum, Gingrich and I guess Paul, maybe a little later since his followers seem to be collecting money on the side of the road like homeless people.

I am ready to vote today. In fact, let's call the primary and hold the election now. Get this crazy shit over with now. It is already tired and overplayed.

We know the outcome. Mitt Max Headroom Romney gets the nomination, since this is Amerikka and as we all know the person with the most money wins.

ie, Romney has more money than the Hobbit, or Lizard-boy or Frothy the Snowman. And, he has the backing of the GOP bigwigs. Most important, he looks like a president with his straight Aryan jawline, his plastered in place helmet hair,  $5000 dollar suits, blond trophy wife who has given him five strapping male offspring to showcase his family values.  So he will eventually be given the nomination, brokered convention or not. Doesn't matter.

So much insanity...so little time..

The wing nuts of the pseudo-religious right came all the way out of the closet on Thursday to publicly worship their god....and no...it wasn't Jesus....it was the DICK...That thing that makes a man, a man...After watching these idolators hurl themselves on the almighty penis, now I understand why men go around holding themselves...It's to keep the lifegiver safe, apparently..

Life begins at conception, they tell us, when sperm meets egg.....DICK worship....

A few states with these DICK worshippers in control forced through new laws mandating that the little swimmers must be allowed to impregnate at will, or women and doctors will face criminal consequences....

WHOA! Sounds like rape to me....but then...didn't they try to change the definition of rape...to make it not rape, before they got to this “personhood thingey?”

Reducing everything...no matter what....incestuous father...rapacious neighbor...abusive and drunken husband....to situations of simply having sex...and not rape...frees men up to be...well, men.

Women don't enter into the equation except as receptacles for the holy sperm and bearers of future offspring.

Fortunately, saner heads prevailed in Congress on this...but that was just a battle..the war on women continues unabated, with more states, including Ohio taking up the issue in the coming weeks...

So, what next, the canonization of erections, as Bill Maher suggested on his show, last night? Well, now that you mention it......

This week's piece de resistance was delivered on Capital Hill, Thursday, when Congressman Darryl Issa unleashed hell by holding a committee hearing on birth control and contraception and had the audacity to say it did not concern women.

HUH!?

It was a religious issue, he said. Not a woman's issue. Women have nothing to do with birth control, according to Issa.

No women allowed to testify...only men...most of them clerics...Catholics and Lutherans who know so much about American women, their habits, lifestyles and health practices. There were no female clerics who could speak to the issue?

Question....if it's a religious issue...and we have a constitution mandating separation of church and state....isn't Issa's hearing illegal in the first place?

And once we answer that question we can move onto the blatant discrimination practiced by Mr. Issa and his oh so christian choir boys.

Just sayin'

Why don't we just cut the dumb shit and hold the election today, tomorrow...sometime in the next week...

This has been a tough week to get through considering we've lost two giants of the entertainment industry.

Don Cornelius, Soul Train creator, was laid to rest on Wednesday after apparently killing himself last week.

On Saturday Whitney Houston will be eulogized and buried not too far from her father, following a private memorial in her home town.

RIP Mr. Cornelius and Ms. Houston. Both of you touched my life in ways that you will never know.

Open Letter to Stupid Women

Dear Dummies,

I'm talkin' to all of you women who stand by your man, your significant others, your butch wives, and your father's dum-azz political party and church, while they persist in doing stupid stuff that may injure you, your children and other women.

WAKE THE FUCK UP!

Let me ramble on a bit about just how twisted is your continued support of these throw backs to the Jurassic period.

Birth Control and contraception will be free starting next year unless the Grand Old Party changes things with its newest and latest amendment. This GOP amendment once again takes us out of the equation by making birth control a decision made for us by our employers, would you believe.

Now, I don't know about you, but I wouldn't trust my boss to decide the color of the toilet paper I use in my bathroom, let alone, let him decide when I can use birth control and have family planning services.

The new amendment would allow employers to deny ANY SERVICE that THEY find morally objectionable to their female employees. I spotlight women because I don't hear Bosses or Congressmen, for that matter, writing laws to ban erectile dysfunction drugs or any service that may interrupt health services for men.

This amendment is a return to the old days...before the passage of the Affordable Health Care Law. This amendment is not limited to religious organizations such as the Catholic Church. It is so broad that it applies to everybody. Any employer who wants to keep from paying for health care for female workers need only claim that birth control “bothers” his conscience and he or she, can keep it out of the plan.

Child birth is still the number one killer of women in the world and that includes the so called enlightened island known as the United States of America. A legal abortion is safer than child birth, but the fanatics of the right always seem to overlook that fact. As long as the fetus lives, they don't care what happens to mommy. They only care about the rights they choose to convey on a lump of cells growing inside a woman's body at certain times of her life.

I like babies too. But not everyone is cut out to be a mother. We are far past the time when giving birth is a necessity.

And, ladies, this amendment goes further. Say it passes and becomes law. Now it becomes not only law but a precedent for other “exclusions” such as your boss decides one day that you are too fat, or you haven't quit smoking fast enough, or your HIV/AIDS medications are “morally objectionable.” What cha gonna do, hmmmmmmmm?

Thank you John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Eric Cantor and Congressman Blunt.

And back to the idiots you live with...you know...the ones who are kicking your ass on a regular basis because they don't have the balls to hit back when their boss takes a swing at them.

These same republicans are working to cancel out all domestic violence laws.

Last summer, you will recall Congress tried to change the definition of rape...to make it NOT rape. That was quickly shot down by sensible heads. Well now the Violence Against Women Act is up for reauthorization and the knuckle draggers don't want to reauthorize.

Why?

Because parts of the law were rewritten to reflect the times. In other words the law has been changed to cover same sex relationships in addition to straight relationships.

It means your boyfriend or your butch wife can't knock you around without legal consequence. The police must step in and treat you equally under the law. In addition, the neanderthals of the right want to reduce funding and disband the office within the Justice Department charged with overseeing regulation of domestic violence and sexual assault cases.

Preventive health services and domestic violence are woman things and as such are not important to our representatives in Congress. They don't care about us, unless we speak up.

But I'm not pissed off at them. I'm pissed off at you, the women who continually allow these idjits to hurt us...to deny us the services we need to live...to trade us in for a young, perkier model when the mood suits them. We suffer....our kids suffer...We as women, are better than this....aren't we?

It is time to stop suffering from their stupidity. It is time to take responsibility. Hell if we don't they are going to blow this world up and then where will we be?

Frothy's Got the Wheel and Gone!

Another day, another change at the top of the GOP pop charts. This time it's Little Ricky Santorum taking over the driver's seat in the clown car.

The latest polls give him a three percent advantage over the Stiff, otherwise known as Willard, or Mitt or Max as in Headroom Romney. Ron the bigot goat Paul is in third, followed distantly by the suddenly silent Puffy Messiah, the self proclaimed savior of the world, Newt Gingrich.

Let's put this into perspective shall we.

The really, really big story that the main stream media is not covering, is that NOBODY.....and I mean....NOBODY is showing up to vote at these caucuses and primary votes.....NOBODY.

All you heard last week was the Little Ricky swept three states....HE WON THREE...count em...THREE STATES!

Man! Frothy really took it to Romney...didn't he, said the MSM....But like Billy Preston used to sing...”Nothin' from Nothin' leaves Nothin'...ya gotta have somethin', if ya wanna beat Obamaaaaaaaaaaa....” Okay, I added that last part.

The turnout in Colorado, Missouri and Minnesota, I believe....was less than 20% collectively. I heard it was actually around 2% in Colorado and 6% in Missouri...and the media reported that Santorum won 30% of the vote in Colorado!  30% of 2%. hmmmmmmmm....What's that, two registered voters and the janitor walking through the room.

“Nothin' from Nothin' leaves nothin'”

Today, the MSM has Frothy surging based on the latest poll numbers. That's the word they are using...SURGING! And they say, Romney's about to lose his home state of Michigan...not that he lives there...Daddy Romney...you know the one born in Mexico...used to be governor of Michigan...Stiff er Mitt grew up there...I wouldn't call it his state...but the MSM describes it as such, so I'll run with that.

Okay, say this scenario plays out with Santorum barebacking Romney, to win the nomination. Do ya really think the rest of us will open wide and swallow? Hmmmmmm?

Frothy absolutely hates women. He is a general in the GOP war on women. According to his book, he is against women working outside the home. He doesn't think we need birth control or contraception. He says we must carry our rapists baby to termination regardless of the circumstance surrounding conception.

He sided with Komen against Planned Parenthood.

I would imagine he probably doesn't think that rape is a crime based on his past statements.

He has no stated use for Black people, Hispanic people, LGBT people or poor people. I would guess that if by some quirk of fate that he does make it to the White House those FEMA concentration camps will suddenly be put to use for those of us not of anglo saxon or aryan origin.

He is against marriage equality and civil rights in general for anyone other than WASPS.

The last time Santorum ran for office he was an incumbent Congressman. It should be noted that he pissed off his district so badly that they turned him out of office by the largest margin ever for an incumbent to lose, in the history of this country.

And he hasn't changed. This year, he's doubled down on the BS that got him thrown out of office in the first place.

Yet a very small part of the GOP wants this guy to win and apparently the more sensible portions of the GOP are going to stand back and let happen. And the MSM is missing the big picture of what is going on.

I say “oh well.”

Maybe the GOP moderates are actually going to cross the line and vote for Obama..that couldn't happen...could it?

National polls are indicating that this scenario may play out regardless of who wins the GOP nomination.

Gingrich and More Fake Piety from the Phony Christians

Let's get real, there is no war on religion.

This fake ass sanctimonious outcry from the so called right is as bogus as the day is long. In mandating better health care choices for women, the Obama administration is under fire from the same men (primarily white, fake christian men) who brought you the idea that same sex marriage is a danger to heterosexual marriages.

And yes, it is men, those who control the catholic church, those who control other factions of the pseudo-christian right wing as well as those who hate President Obama, who are crying the loudest, by claiming that new federal ruling violates their religious convictions.

HOW!

Please tell me how the law violates your religious convictions, if you have them, they are carved in stone, right? So please tell me how a health care mandate for women, stands between you and your belief in your god?

Inquiring minds want to know.

The new law doesn't say you have to practice birth control. It doesn't say you have to use the morning after pill after you have sex. Hell, it doesn't even force you to have sex. You have the right to abstain. Isn't that what the all knowing Bishops and religious types tell all women and kids...abstain until you get married? The new federal rule simply makes more choices available to women, for their health, because frankly, women are the ones who need to make these choices. Men don't...never have....never will...Men don't die from child birth...women do.

How many guys do you know who stop the sex act because they forgot the condom. The first question at the first sign of pre-coitus interruptus is usually...”ain't you on the pill?” It has always been the woman's burden, just like the kid created before and after its born.

Do ya'll think Newt Gingrich has been celibate or lacking birth control options during his three marriages and god knows how many affairs. Allegedly, Callista is still in her 40's is she on birth control or does Newt carry a cache of Trojans in his pocket?

What about Ricky Santorum? If they're not using birth control, why doesn't he have a family to rival the Duggars instead of a measly 7 offspring?

And what about Mitt. Same thing applies. What's he got...five kids. Somebody's violating a whole lot of religious stricture, aren't they? Well, when he was governor, he signed a mandate just like this, almost word for word. Stood up to Catholic bishops and religious institutions that got their draws in a knot. Guess it's only bad when Obama does it.

28 States already have this mandate on the books. Women are going to do what they need to do, quietly and out of sight of all the uproar kicked up by their partners.

As an example to the blatant hypocrisy of the fake christian right, take the law proposed by a state senator in Oklahoma, which is currently wrestling with a personhood proposal. Lawmakers, there, want to define life as beginning at conception;

“The concept of “personhood” defines human life as beginning at the moment of conception according to the Oklahoma SB1433... that the resulting fetus “at every stage of development (has) all the rights, privileges, and immunities available to other persons, citizens, and residents of this state.”

Oklahoma State Senator Constance Johnson proposed to amend the law with a clause that also grants the same equality to every sperm, making them “sacred so to speak.” It holds men equally accountable for procreation.

“However, any action in which a man ejaculates or otherwise deposits semen anywhere but in a woman’s vagina shall be interpreted and construed as an action against an unborn child.” - Johnson amendment.

If left in the bill, this clause would outlaw male masturbation, anal sex (doggie style, for those needing translation), sex with condoms, all forms of fellatio to completion (blow jobs), as well as numerous other acts. 

Girlfriend then turned around and withdrew the amendment as her male colleagues breathed a collective sigh of relief..not that it had a chance of becoming law. It does point out the total stupidity of these laws, that weigh heavily and completely on women while allowing men to escape most if not all of their responsibility. 

One final thought....

98% of catholics practice birth control and when polled 58% of all catholics liked the Obama health mandate....'nough said.

Newt Gingrich in Cincinnati

Well it had to happen. With the Ohio GOP primary set for March 6^th, it's time for the clown car to make an appearance in the Queen City. Newt “Puff Daddy” Gingrich reportedly plans to make some stops along the old three C highway, with Dayton thrown in for good measure.

Our local republican slanted newspaper says Gingrich and Callista have a taste for some Price Hill Chili and will plunk down there sometime on Tuesday. Afterward he and she will head to Dayton, then Columbus and end up in Cleveland for a big rally on Wednesday.

Of course you know that Newt is coming off his latest loss and subsequent temper tantrum to Max Headroom Romney. Romney dusted Lizard-boy in Nevada this past weekend. Literally treated him with all kinds of disrespect. It was not at all in keeping with the image of world savior that Newt has of himself.

He thinks he's the messiah but, so far has only alluded to it, not come right out and said it, yet. Maybe he'll leave the anointing up to Calllista, letting her finally speak instead of just stand there with that silent gaze trained only on him.

Ya know, now that I think about it, maybe that gaze and position next to his podium is her way of keeping her boy on a leash since we all know her dog does like to wander.

But I digress. I hope some enterprising reporter here in town has the guts to ask the Newter about the so called war on religion that he has been spouting off about in between bouts of calling Romney a liar, and telling us black people how shiftless and lazy we are.

Newt claims the new health regulations requiring insurance plans to cover birth control in the same manner as they cover erectile dysfunction drugs is a war, on first the Catholic Church and second, on religion in general. ( Newt is a new convert to Catholicism so have patience with his undying fanaticism).

Question- How is this possible since the regulation as I read it says the insurance plans must provide birth control coverage, but it doesn't mandate or force anyone to actually use birth control. You can still stick to the rhythm method if you want. The church can still outlaw birth control for its followers, if it wants.

What's the big deal?

Why should Newter be you ticked off about birth control when serial adultery doesn't bother him, lying doesn't bother him, or casting untrue aspersions on his neighbor doesn't bother him.

Anyway, I'm gonna try and find out where he is set to land and see if I can get close, welcome his highness to the Queen City and maybe even get some answers to a whole host of questions percolating in my mind.

Gingrich Followers Speak

Show they like rewriting history as much as their newly found fearless leader....

By now, you've probably seen the story coming out of Tennessee, about a group of teabaggers who want to tell the truth about American history. You can read it here.  

Basically they want to take out as much about slavery in America as possible, because according to them, it makes the founding fathers look bad. In other words, “yes we know the founding fathers were slave owners...but we don't have to talk about or teach about it...do we?”

This group of knuckle draggers believes that talking about the bad things the white men did to brown people in this country only incites the brown people to be pissed off and act out against white people, or resent white people and demand handouts from the government as payment for these “made up injustices as taught by bad history teachers.

These fools held a news conference during which the spokesman said; 

 

"an awful lot of made-up criticism about, for instance, the founders intruding on the Indians or having slaves or being hypocrites in one way or another." - Hal Rounds a Tennessee attorney.

Pardon my obtuseness....but when is taking land by force and slaughtering every Native American in the way, an intrusion?

INTRUSION!? WTF!

Invasion and conquer...maybe....genocide...surely...but INTRUSION?

And what about that slavery thing. The truth of the matter was that most of the presidents prior to the Civil War were slaves owners. They OWNED OTHER PEOPLE FOR PROFIT. They used them, raped them, sold them, split up families and killed them when they wanted to.

If that makes the founding fathers look bad...then so be it...It remains the truth whether it appears in a history book in Tennessee, or not.

The Middle Passage took millions of lives. It was not merely the Triangle Trade between countries that Texas teaches it's children about.

Conservatives, teabaggers and other intellectually challenged bigots have spent lifetimes attempting to cover up the two indigenous Holocausts that happened in North America after it was “discovered” by whites...the killing and continued persecution of Native Americans and the slave trade and practices that brought most Blacks to America as property, not people or human beings.

Two Holocausts! Two vicious ongoing acts of genocide that have never really been resolved. The repercussions continue to reverberate throughout the USA.

Don't think so...then listen to the words coming out of the right about the current Commander in Chief....replay the words of the current crop of lame POTUS wannabes running for the GOP nomination.  The so called history teacher named Newt knows better, but he is too wrapped up in his fantasy world to realize the danger of his ever increasing over statements.  Paul doesn't care, Romney and Santorum are simply  pandering to find a new job in DC.

America has never told the truth about its history. What is going on in Tennessee and Texas is merely a retrogression of the revision that has passed for history since 1619.

Another example from the rewrites....The KKK was a club...The Black Panther Party was a violent terrorist organization.

Go figure!

Newt Gingrich, Anointed in SC, Jesus Mary and Joseph!

With all the flair and petulance of a three year old, Newt Gingrich has won the South Carolina Primary by a very wide margin over the anointed one, otherwise known as Mitt Romney. Ricky the pope Santorum finished a distant third while the hobbit, Ron Paul, came in fourth, visibly demonstrating his short legged disadvantage.

So what does this mean? Well, I see shades of 1976 in this one. 1976 was the last time that the GOP had a real fight for the nomination. It was also the first time that I covered a convention as a working on air news reporter. It was held in Kansas City and Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford came in with a 50-50 split, or thereabouts in delegates.

I was personally appalled by what I saw and heard coming out of the delegates' mouths and rightly guessed that Ford would be the nominee, because I naively believed that “right” would prevail (there were still real live conservatives in charge of the GOP at the time, and I do like real conservatives instead of this fake christian variety now). It did, sorta. What really happened was a deal apparently being cut with the Mississippi Delegation. Pre convention, the delegation was supposed to be solidly in Reagan's corner, however when boss Haley Barbour stepped to the mic, he threw his delegation to Ford much to the consternation of most of his delegation.

Despite the Mississippi vote, Nixon's Southern strategy was working back then, and obviously from the vote last night, is still working today. However it was circumvented or short circuited by the powers that be in the GOP. The final result, Ford wins the nomination, but loses the presidency to Jimmy Carter.

It remains to be seen if the GOP elite will force feed Mitt Romney to their constituents, in the same manner in which they force fed them Gerald Ford. Romney's been running since the 90's and still nobody who claims to be republican likes him, or wants him to represent them. If the GOP elite is smart, they will make the base happy and come with somebody like Newt. But Newt has burned every bridge he's crossed on both sides of the aisle. Final result-democrats win again. The question is...will they win big or bigger.

Ricky and Ron have the lifespan of a snowball in hell, or maybe an ice ball in hell. They are both going to Florida, but probably not much further. Which brings us back to Newt, he of the self proclaimed towering intellect powered by prepubescent temperament unbecoming a man with so much white hair on his head.

Gingrich is playing his sideshow for the voters with no memory of his past. They seem to care only for the stuff coming out of his mouth, true or not. Most of his stuff is not truth based in the slightest of senses. Kinda reminds ya of that cool breeze that unexpectedly blew in from Wasilla, Alaska, a few years ago. The only difference between the two is their gender..one female...one male...both legends in their own mind.

To quote Kathleen Parker, “Newt Gingrich is an angry little attack muffin.” He attacks anyone and everyone who doesn't think the same as he, or want to live inside the fantasy in which he cloaks himself.

After all, it was just a couple of weeks ago, in Iowa, where his petulance and mental instability was on full display after he loss to Romney. Romney lost too, but we didn't know it until the recount this past week.

Regardless, Newt was pissed and he showed it, and he's been taking it out on anyone and everyone since that night.

Like the good liberal that I am, I am going to pop some popcorn, lay in a couple of bottles of my favorite wine and watch it all play out for as long as it takes. And I really hope it takes all the way to July for the GOP to settle on a candidate.

And since I'm in a predicting mood...I'm gonna tell you who it is they are going to choose to represent them...

His name is TOAST.

Newt “Sho I'm a Ho” Gingrich

Oh he is soooooooooooooooooo GHETTO! Tryin' to pretend that he is "to the manor born."  Please!

Gingrich's dramatic performance at last night's GOP debate was classic Hood Rat behavior.

We all have Hood Rats in our family...you know those fools who face you dead on after they've done their latest doo, and bare-face lie to you! They know they did it...you know they did it...and they know that you know they did it...BUT THEY FACE YOU AND LIE TO YOU ANYWAY, because they believe you will give into their wishes, like you've done in the past..

Hood Rats believe that no matter the transgression...they will be forgiven and allowed to continue living in a world of their own making, with no consequences.

They always signal the lie....“Now what had happen was....” Hood Rat plain and simple opening statement....He's lyin'.....Ho-speak for get ready for a story..

Newt's got the indignant anger down pat....He stares in the camera...gets very red, white and terse on his responses....answers like he's the victim...

“My ex wife is lying!......I did not ask her for an open marriage!”

Kinda rings like...”I did not have sex with that woman” doesn't it.

And you know what the most aggravating part of this whole charade is...the crowds...made up of similarly situated, so called christian individuals...standing up and giving this fool a raucous ovation...There is always a Greek chorus...Hood rats always, always travel in packs..

They cheered him, the hypocrites....Lays proof to the belief...any white man will do in 2012..

13 years after he screwed over his second wife to cavort and then marry his third..”Sho I'm Ho” Gingrich is still telling others how to live their lives. “Sho” was one of the first to sign that phony pledge to uphold heterosexual marriage...

“Sho” wants to instill bigotry into the Constitution in the form of an amendment banning same sex marriage...guess he feels the sanctity of his own is in jeopardy....

He says Mitt “Max Headroom” Romney is not tough enough on abortion, and that Ricky the Pope Santorum is not conservative enough...

And he has the audacity to lecture Black people about everything including moral values, religion and work ethics, delivered with all the condescending master to slave imagery that he's read about in his history books.

Classic, classic, classic ghetto behavior...

Newt “Sho I'ma Ho” Gingrich is angry that he is being called on his HO-ish tendencies, but he is not contrite, nor is he sorry. He's just pissed off that at least some of the people are calling him out on his shit.

Because, you know that is what eventually happens with Hood Rats...they get called on their shit...finally....And it usually begins with the phrase...

Little Ricky Calls it Quits, Drops Out of Presidential GOP Scrum

Little Ricky going home to work on his Texas Secession speech....

I always heard that god don't make mistakes, so I guess Sarah and Christine and Herman and Michele and now Little Ricky must a been lyin' through their teeth when they said god told em to run for president. If he told em to run, he apparently didn't mean for them to win.

It wasn't god talkin' to em. It must have been the voices in their head talking louder than usual. Or maybe it was just caucasian arrogance telling them that any ole white guy or gal was good enough to beat the Black man in the White House.

Apparently you still gotta be a politician to serve in DC and like him or not, the target of all their animosity is a very good politician.

Tough to beat....Not that he's had to work at it while the clown circus plays dates throughout the country.

Or maybe he is the one who god is really talking to. We'll never know, because the tall stoic mocha commander in chief doesn't reveal himself very much, to us, anyway.

The Grand Old Party is down to four choices unless they can talk somebody else into the race. They have perennial candidate Willard Mitt Max Headroom Romney (he's the rich one, the great white hope one), Then comes Ron Paul the elder ( The Hobbit) another perennial candidate who never seems to get anything done in the form of legislation been there all this time and has only passed one bill out of 600 something sent forward.

Then there is Saint Rick Santorum (the Pope's puppet and Howdy Doodie's long lost brother in a sweater vest), and last but not least slime ball Newt Gingrich.

I always hesitate to put Gingrich in this race because it is sooooo obvious from his campaign that he is actually running for dictator of America. One would think with all those history degrees that he would know the difference between the president of a republic and a head dic, er dictator in charge.

The final four are still on message...their goal is to trash the economy and the country...they hate women...they hate minorities and blacks in particular and they want to turn the world backward to 1862, when all they had to do was to kill the minority (Indians, Mexicans or slaves) to get what they wanted.

So now that we know that Mitt didn't win Iowa, who is going to blink next? Is the fix in for Romney? Or will Santorum knock him off and open the door for Lizard boy to slither through....Forget Paul...he is equally despised by his party as well as the opposition.

We will just have to wait and see, won't we?

Nobody still doesn't like Mitt Romney....The conservative default position is apparently Rick Santorum who can't carry a crowd in his home state......the white guy choice is Daddy Paul.....Lizard boy Gingrich has been exposed as the most mentally unstable, and that's saying a lot with Bachmann in the field....Ricky P is running home to Texas to lick his wounds and Michelle...well she is finding out what conservatives really think of women, let alone female politicians....But she's vowed not to quit, bless her heart. Now it's on to New Hampshire, where Romney is said to have the state on lockdown. So much so, in fact, that many in the clown car are by-passing New Hampshire and driving straight to South Carolina, whose nut job governor has already endorsed Romney much to the distress of many of her soon to be ex-constituents.

Jon Huntsman is also waiting in New Hampshire. He didn't bother to compete in Iowa saying “Iowa picks corn while New Hampshire picks presidents!” Guess he feels that he is the one. Considering that his money comes directly from a fund fed by his father, he may turn out to be as delusional as the rest of them in their hunt for the White House.

I mean just because you're the apple of Daddy's eye, doesn't mean the rest of us are going to like you, too.

Maybe he should have stayed in China as Ambassador....Could've opened himself up to being Obama's VP....nah!....Biden still rules.

And so does President Obama who is looking more and more like a safe bet for four more years in the White House.

Iowa Caucus-An exercise in Flash Mob Masturbation.

Let's get real, the Iowa Caucus vote is not really all that important, unless you happen to be a news pundit/reporter/columnist or social conservative-would be kingmaker, looking to hang onto your job and justify your existence in 2012.

It's basically another form of peripheral bullshit that passes for news in the 21^st century. The media has to report and inflate every single thing that can be considered a news story, given the concentration on the bottom line to make news profitable for the corporations that now own all communications in the USA.

The kingmakers, well they just have to figure out how to stay in front of the cameras to get out their bigoted message to the sheeple.

The only thing that is really going to happen in Iowa this week is that after the vote, there will be fewer helmet haired riders in the GOP clown car fighting for the driver's seat.

Nobody fighting for position in Iowa stands a snowball's chance in hell of winning the nomination let alone the presidency come November. Mitt Romney may come away with the GOP nomination, but it won't be because his party likes him. They think he is the one white man who can win, and that is very bigoted of them

Unemployment is dropping, albeit slowly. The economy is strengthening. Other factors are working their way into the positive. People are making money, working and spending again. Based on what we've seen so far, Obama is a lock for a second term.

Iowa would matter if it were more reflective of America....not Norman Rockwell America of yesterday...but of America, today. It's not. Iowa is richer, more educated, older and whiter than nearly every other state in the union.

That works out to tea party country and most Americans still don't drink tea, at least not the kind served up by those social conservatives who dominate the landscape in the corn fields of Iowa.

If you look at Iowa, the people, there don't believe in the separation of church and state, public education, global warming. Nor do they believe that women, gays and lesbians, as well as other minorities, deserve first class citizenship, civil rights and adequate health care. They also don't support the christian concepts of being thy brother's keeper or of looking out for the poor.

Iowa will choose the new driver of the clown car, but will he be able to stay in the driver's seat thru New Hampshire and beyond?

Will it matter? I think not.
