Cruz and Palin Hijack Vet's Rally

Sarah Palin, half gov of Alaska
Sarah Palin sighting at the White House this past weekend. No, she wasn't a guest. She was out front with a bunch of her cockroachy- teabagging friends, including the group's latest crackpot du jour, Ted Cruz.

The Teabag party went to DC and hijacked the Veteran's rally, which had been organized to honor our nation's soldiers and military, the real patriots who put their lives on the line for the rest of us. The Million Veteran March was far less by the thousands, in fact, of a mililon people, but Teabaggers take what they can get, considering nobody shows up, if it's just them doing the rallying.

You can read about the rally here.

Unable to generate any real support for their cause to destroy the United States, the wingnuts tore down fences and waved confederate flags, all the while blaming President Obama for the government shutdown, orchestrated by the House Republicans led by Tiny Ted C and his buddy Mike Lee, who was also in attendance at the rally.
Thinks the Confederacy won the Civil War

Sarah, Ted and Mike made no bones or attempts to hide their bigotry and racist viewpoints. It was a far cry from when she ran for Vice President and tried to obscure the fact that she and her husband Todd were members of the Alaskan Independence Party, a white separatist/secessionist group.

Sunday's rallying cry was to impeach President Obama No surprise here. Palin was up to her old tricks of stirring up shit in order to get noticed. Ted and Mikey, well they just looked confused, not really understanding the workings of the Frankenstein monster that they brought to life and were trying to control.

Nobody got arrested. Nobody got tasered, pepper sprayed, handcuffed or thrown into the back of a paddy wagon and jailed. These were white republican people after all. Stuff like arrests and head bashing only happens to protestors of color or young white liberal/hippie types with a bone to pick.

But there should have been arrests.
Ted Cruz, upstaged by last year's crank

Ted and Mike, the twin congressional dip-shits have been committing treason since October 1st. They are in direct violation of the United States Constitution, the very document of law that they are sworn to uphold.

Everyday that the shutdown continues is a direct slap in the face of every single taxpaying American. Yet, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee and company continue to walk the streets and get paid for spitting in the face of America.

Wish we could vote today, so that we could spit back...

Remember in November and vote responsibly, America...

Treason!

The last time America reached an impasse such as this was the Civil War. Today, it's not just keeping black people enslaved. Today it is everyone middle class and below that are considered poor and useless by the powers that be.

For not being members of the elite, our rights have been labeled entitlements. We pay taxes and work. Yet our taxes and our work, don't matter. Our families are not worth supporting. Our schools are not worth attending. We don't need healthcare. We are a drain on the air that they breathe.

Useless. Solely because they say so.

The president that we the people elected in a lopsided vote is not deemed legitimate because he was born black, labeled as such by their rules even though his mother is one of them..

The Affordable Healthcare Act is law. It is a part of the Constitution of the United States, passed legally by Congress, signed by the President and vetted by a right leaning United States Supreme Court.

But that is not good enough for the teabaggers.

43 times they have voted to repeal this law. 43 times they have failed.

The 44th attempt at repeal has shut down the federal government, and is on its way to crippling our fragile economy that is still recovering from other foolishness promoted by this same House of Representatives.

The teabaggers have committed treason by refusing to abide by the Constitution and uphold their oath of office. John Boehner and Eric Cantor have also violated their oath of office by allowing this travesty to happen.

In case you've never seen the Congressional oath of office, here it is:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

It was written following the Civil War, replacing the original Congressional oath of office used until the Civil War:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States."

There is nothing in either of these oaths allowing for the exception “because you don't like it or disagree with it politically.”

Treason!

And in addition, since they all, or most of them, consider themselves Christians, have condemned themselves to hell, because they also swore to their god. Although I'm sure if called on the god-thing they will say it doesn't count because the Constitution says so;

Article VI, clause 3:

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”

They interpret the Constitution in the same way they interpret their bible...some of it for them...some of it for us and never the twain shall meet.

Treason!

We can't impeach. Only the House of Representatives can impeach. The Senate does the trial. The President sits and watches, as does The Supreme Court. They are allowed no input at all.

To sum it up bluntly...we the people are fucked.

We are a captive audience for idiots...One faction of one party of one part of government chooses to hold the American people, our country, our duly elected representatives and workers, hostage because of narrow ideology that has nothing to do with balancing the budget, reducing the deficit, generating jobs or fixing the economy.

Abraham Lincoln fought a war, a lengthy and costly one. He waited until the South made the first move by seceding and then firing the shots at Fort Sumter.

I wonder what President Obama is waiting for....

This is where I say remember in November...but that's a very, very long way off. If we make it to the next election...vote responsibly..

Weez' All Niggas Now, Boss!

And now we will see just how long the privileged illiterates in Congress can hold their breath to stop the Affordable Care Act, which having been passed by Capital Hill, signed by the President and vetted by the United States Supreme Court, was unstoppable to begin with.

It is rolling out as planned, right on schedule, while the Get Obama Party prays to their teabag jesus for glitches and problems in that roll-out, so they can jump up and down and scream that it's not working.

Meantime, they still get to take their paychecks home to the little lady, their kids won't miss a day at their private school, and their mistresses and undercover boyfriends will still get to see them at the designated, weekly tryst time, per usual.

All is right with their world....It's our world that is fucked up and soon to be completely penniless for all of us below the millionaire poverty line level of what...$250,000? If you're not making that amount of money, you're considered poor in America these days, it seems..

Most of us don't, by the way....not even close.

Still don't think it's not about the black man in the White House...well...note to the clueless....watch as the teabags make your 401K and pension disappear.....Will no money make you understand that these guys and gals are not looking out for your interests and frankly, don't give a good goddamn about you and yours...punishing white people for supporting Obama...got that?

Ya'll all niggas now...get it?

Instead of closing the deficit and cutting spending, thanks to the anal retentive, historically challenged ass holes, we are now each individually hemorrhaging money, personally, daily.

Die poor people, die. The middle class is dead, long live poverty.

Need another clue? Still not sure about your station in life? Check out Gawker.com today. You can find it right here.

It links you to a game called the “Privilege Game” where white boys can play a game about who has the least amount of power and privilege in the United States....In other words, who is at the bottom of the social heap...

(Hint, Hint...it ain't white boys or white women...unless you're queer)

The game is set up like an NCAA bracket and all you gotta do is make your choices...a new March Madness with a twist....Pick a winna!

Except this game has been going on since the dawn of this country and it's name is Bigotry,

White boys don't get what they want...game doesn't go their way...they can't find a rope and lynch it or take an AK-47 off their back and obliterate it or tie it to the back of their F150 truck and drag it down a dirt road....they first rail at it and hold their breath....then ridicule it and then find some other way to deny it...all the while claiming that they are just joking...that they are really not the vile bigoted ass wipes that some of us know them to be...

It's easy to see what is real when you've been looking up from the bottom all your damn life solely because you're the wrong color, or gender as designated by the jokesters..

Except the joke is never on them...only on us...

All as a way of showing that they are still in charge of the universe..
The privilege game...playing since 1619,...where the motto is...

if we can't have it...neither will you”

Yep...last darkie out, turn off the lights...

9/11 Hindsight

20-20 hindsight kicking in when it comes to the events of September 11, 2001, the day the Trade Towers in New York were destroyed by Saudi Arabian men taking orders from the now dead Osama Bin Laden.

Most of us had never heard Bin Laden's name prior to that time. He was apparently a major player in the world of USA haters, but we Americans didn't know it. US citizens were and to a great extent, remain cloaked in naivete when it comes to the rest of the world. The “them vs us” mentality still dominates American group think.

To be sure there are new cracks in that group think. It was very apparent last night with President Obama attempting to convince we the people that it is again necessary to deploy the military option against some other country, this time named Syria, for the purpose of....what? Still don't have an answer to that question...Why and for what?

The rationale presented by the President,...we need to strike Assad and Syria to protect “us” from “them.” It's the same rationale used by Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, et al going back a couple of hundred years, leading up to the events of 9/11. When you look at our war history, we've been damn lucky. Most other nations on the face of this earth would be happy to be able to point to just one incident on their land, as its lone brush with terrorism.

We the people don't have a clue about navigating through a regular day of living, wondering where the bad guys/good guys, hid the IED.

Killing people...we the people are very good at killing people...we've got a magnificent army, the best weapons, 12 WMDs for every person the face of this earth, airplanes, boats, and now President Obama has given us drones, unmanned death from the sky, fired by guys in a bunker somewhere in America at a target thousands of miles away. No need to look them in the eye when you kill them now. Clean, bloodless killing. However, we're not so good at being killed...dying on our own soil or while asleep in our own house or walking to the grocery store around the corner.

9/11 woke us up to that fact. It ain't fun being hit back once you've started something. And make no mistake about it, we did start this fire and have been stoking it for years and years. It was only a matter of time before somebody decided to hit back. 9/11 was a sucker punch answer to our preemptive strike mindset. Now we've got to finish it, bring it to conclusion before somebody decides to use the really bad weapons in their arsenals, probably purchased from us, The United States of America or one of our many government sanctioned military corporations.

Our government calls Saudi Arabia an ally, yet the virulent form of Islam practiced by most so named terrorists comes out o Saudi Madrasas. The men who flew the planes on 9/11 were mainly Saudi nationals. Osama Bin Laden was Saudi. The Saudis have said they will take up the monetary slack if America pulls its aid from Syria. In fact the US just sold the Saudis 60 billion dollars in weaponry. Weapons that more than likely will end up being used against us sometime in the future in some unforeseen way.

We've got to stop this merry go round. If nothing else, 9/11 has proven that our attempts to play all ends against the middle and get rich while others suffer and die, are coming back to haunt us. It is only a matter of time before the world gets sophisticated enough to once again use our own weapons against us.

We the people seem to be waking up to this lesson, displaying overwhelming disapproval of using a military option to seek peace in Syria floated by the White House last week. Seeking peace at the end off a rifle, does not work. It's never worked and never will.

There are other options in the 21st century. It's time we used them.

No more 9/11....no more war...

Syria-Intervention or No

An open letter to Steve Chabot,

My Dear Representative,

I am totally and completely against intervening in the Syrian Civil War, either for regime change or as our President says, to teach President Assad a lesson. The man was wrong to gas his own people. I am not disputing that. However, the Syrian conflagration is not the only one burning across the globe. It is not the only place where women and children are dying because of the whims and power grabs of money hungry dictators and despots.

The poor, women and children, suffer right here in the United States, thanks in great part to the very laws and regulations put into place by this Congress, which is now debating who has the moral ground. They suffer and die daily in Africa because Hutus and Tutsis continue to fight the colonial wars begun a hundred years ago by white conquerors bent on raping the continent of its vast natural resources. Past illegal wars have nearly bankrupted our country, while making a few men rich from the spoils of oil. We don't have the moral ground when it comes to humanitarian principles, Representative, despite what our President would like us to believe.

My first concern is the President's call for “limited engagement.” He says the hit will be a surgical strike designed to punish. All recent past actions have been described as limited, yet here we are struggling to disengage from both Iraq and Afghanistan years later and at a monumental cost to taxpayers, as we watch our own cities fall down into decay. Limited engagement by Bill Clinton resulted in the attack on the Trade Towers on 9/11. Limited strikes in Somalia resulted in yet another deadly fiasco. The so called punishment strikes only seem to punish us. Considering that nearly all of the Republicans who voted to support President Bush's calls for war are still in place, I don't believe that anything will be kept at “limited.” The president aligning with John McCain, the very man calling for regime change dating back to the past election bothers me greatly. If I wanted John McCain to represent me, I would have voted for him.

And let me be perfectly honest, I am very disappointed in President Obama. I voted for men and women whom I thought would keep us out of war, not jump to get into another one. I voted for men and women whom I thought would use those billions of dollars dedicated to war, to healing unemployment, low wages and other major problems affecting our country.

I also think the time has come  for the United States to listen to its people as well as the international community. I think acting without UN sanction or NATO is a big mistake. I mean what happens if sometime in the future Russia or China decides to jump in behind one of their allied countries?

I hold no illusions about Congress' love for the people it purports to represent. A congress ready willing and more than able to attempt to derail healthcare, medicare, social security and education while our cities decay, doesn't give a damn about its people and I'm probably wasting time writing this letter. But I've got to try to make you understand what kinds of hell you continue to inflict upon the people while attempting to stand on moral ground.

Congressman Chabot, bigger men and women would stand up for a peace process. Bigger men and women would take into consideration the sacrifices already made by the people before asking them to make more.  We don't need bullets or missiles. We need talk and communication. We need time to heal.

I hope that when the time comes you will not be stampeded into voting for another war action that benefits the few rather than the many.

Respectfully,

Missiles into Syria on Dr. King's Day! President Obama, You Cannot be Serious!

Dear Mr. President.

I know you're a busy man, busier than usual, because you are preparing on this auspicious day, to step onto the foot path of the Drum Major for peace, Dr. Martin Luther King Junior, on this the 50th anniversary of perhaps his greatest day. I understand that you will be joined by a host of celebrities and important people including two past presidents, Clinton and Carter, and I'm also hearing today that Oprah Winfrey will also take part in today's celebration among others.

Let me be blunt, Mr. President, I have a problem with today's commemoration. My problem being that everything scheduled to take place today could have and should have taken place this past Saturday (August 24th) when the people could have attended and taken part. The first march was for the people. 50 years later what we have is a gathering for us, talking about jobs and economic freedom, which we still don't have, despite your promises, followed by a gathering of the glitterati, 4 days later on the exact date of the first march. Why two, celebrations separate and definitely not equal in place of the inclusive demonstrations orchestrated back in the day? Leaders bent over backward in order to show a united front, at least for that day and they pulled it off magnificently.

The excuse that I was given was that today August 28th is the exact date of the MLK march, so it was important to be historically and completely correct. To which I say bull. We live in a country that has changed the dates on every single holiday and national commemoration with the exception of the 4th of July and Christmas, for the sole purpose of giving people 3 day holiday weekends. It wasn't always like that. When I was in school, we celebrated Lincoln on his birthday. The same with Washington and even Dr. King. Now there is President's day, two for the price of one, and never on February 12th (Lincoln)or the 22nd (Washington).

I suspect politics is the main reason behind the scripted segregation. Politics and egos and for those reasons, we the people are once again left twisting in the wind. Some of us have long been tired of the symbolism of equality rather than the real deal. We refuse to sing another verse of “we shall overcome.” The passions kindled 50 years ago on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial are now nothing more than cinders and ash.

Having a Black man in the White House, Mr. President, has never been enough. It was a start, we thought, to fulfillment of Dr. King's dream as spelled out all those years ago. However I guess nobody was really listening were they.

As you prepare to stand in for Dr. King and to talk about peace, equality, freedom and justice for we the people, the media is reporting that you are contemplating “limited retaliatory intervention” in Syria because their president reportedly gassed his innocent citizens while they slept.

You have said that a gas attack is where America draws the line in the sand. The NeoCons immediately started sabre rattling, beating on their shields, strapping on their boots ready to go to jump into another unending and senseless conflagration.

Mr. President you were elected President because we the people wanted change. We wanted an end to unending warfare where anonymous death rains down on faceless innocents. Based on your words and promises, the world awarded you the Nobel Peace Prize,  in hindsight very premature to say the least. In an effort to get out of Afghanistan, we have a drone war of your making. Now your regime is talking “ Limited Retaliatory Intervention' which is just another name for Revenge, and for what. The gas didn't kill over here. It killed in the midst of a civil war and we don't have a dog in this fight. The American people are tired, Mr. President.

We chose you to break the cycle. Someone, and I fear it is you, must stand up to the NeoCons both within and outside your administration. If our allies want to go, then let them go, they are not strangers to imperialism having created the imperialistic prototype a long long time ago. That's exactly why our country exists today. We can't nor are we obligated to continue to make the same mistakes over and over and over.

Today, as you stand in the place of Dr. Martin Luther King, a man who died violently while counseling others in nonviolence, there is no rationalization that you can dream up, that will convince me that the right thing to do is to send cruise missiles into the heart of yet another Middle Eastern country. Dr. King was vocally against the war in Vietnam ( another fruitless exercise in limited retaliatory intervention), and he would have been equally vocal against supporting any administration, including yours, so ready and willing to strike out when we're not even sure as a country, who the enemy really is.

The enemy is us, Mr. President. We need to heal ourselves before we attempt to heal others. Striking Syria is wrong and no way to remember Dr. King on his day.

Respectfully yours,

An Open Letter to President Obama on the Matter of Assata Shakur

Dear Mr. President,

First of all, let me congratulate you on your massive re election win back in November. I voted for you and am proud to have done so. However, I am troubled by the recent act by your administration of placing Assata Shakur, the former Joanne Chesimard, on the most wanted domestic terrorist list. To be perfectly honest, one of my problems with you, Mr. President, is that I've never felt comfortable trusting you to handle the problems of Black America, and this move against Shakur illustrates my point.

Do you understand that this one act has the effect of retroactively criminalizing the very movement that made your ascent to the White House possible? Do you understand the historic stain that you have allowed your Justice Department to paint all over the Black community?

With one fell swoop you have labeled everyone, from Dr. Martin Luther King on down to me as a domestic terrorist, and proclaimed our demands for equality and freedom from Jim Crow back in the day as nothing more than acts of terrorism against the United States. We're not Terrorists, Mr. President. We are Americans. Americans who have routinely and systematically been excluded from the melting pot that America proclaims itself to be.

The announcement by the Police and Federal officials in New Jersey this week, called the continued hunt for Shakur an open wound dating back some 40 years. Well what about the open wounds inflicted by COINTELPRO on Black people, Mr. President. Shakur is a classic example of what this covert government agency inflicted on my people ( not sure if they're yours) during the 60's, 70's and 80's. There was no mention of governmental complicity during the news conference. Did you think that all of us who might remember had died off or maybe decided to stay quiet since we're older now?

We're older, Mr. President, but we haven't gone away, primarily because despite working our asses off to see you live in the White House, things haven't gotten any better for us in the past few years. Some of that is conservative bigoty, but much of it is you, Mr. President. We're still not living in full economic, non racist harmonic American equality. The American dream has yet to roll down my street. Not even with you in charge of the White House and your designate Eric Holder in control of the Just-us department. No I didn't misspell Justice, Mr. President. Real Black people know that it's always been Justice for them and Just-us for us.

I keep waiting for you to take a stand for Black people, Mr. President. I keep waiting for you to find some empathy for those who look like you look. You tell the world that you're minority. You make jokes about it. You get mad when someone says otherwise. And lord knows you take enough crap from even the minor masters of the universe for appearing to be Black.

Trouble is, Mr. President, you don't even feel Black to me. You've got the cool Black factor working. You do look good in your Ray Bans as you step out of your armored Escalade. But when it comes to deep down understanding, you are seriously lacking in knowledge, passion and feeling for what it is to be a Black man in America. Your election did not come close to making America post racial. How many times does some white guy have to question your intelligence before you get mad enough to realize that.

I just don't get how you and Eric Holder could miss the incredible symbolism attached to making Assata Shakur a domesticc terrorist. You may as well have gone to Angela Davis' house, kicked down her door, and slapped cuffs on her saying double jeopardy is no longer in force. Same difference.

Amid your fight for gays and lesbians and immigrants and Latinos, your administration just told all of Black America that we don't count, and that we never counted. Even if you really feel that way, I personally thought you were smarter than that. Hell, I've been waiting for five years for some sign that you were smarter than you appear. But then again, some of the dumbest people that I know personally are academic geniuses, sporting all the book learning in the world yet not a lick of common sense.

I personally thought that you were strong enough to resist the allure and overwhelming addiction of power that comes with the Oval Office. I was wrong, apparently. You're so into the power that you've chosen to make the power grab retroactive. Our civil liberties are being wiped out. Not by the man who created the law, but by the man, you, who succeeded him.

I keep waiting for you to shed tears for Black America, Mr. President, because it is disappearing before your eyes. I keep waiting for you to choke up over the very visible inequities still written into the social system that controls American lives.

But the act of making Assata Shakur a domestic terrorist most wanted means I'm going to be waiting a long time for real black understanding coming from the White House.

You already know the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Well it's a good thing you can't run for a third term, because I can't in all honesty support someone who continues to work against me and my community to its detriment. That is insanity and I'm promise you, I am not crazy. I know when to quit.

And I'm done....

Respectfully yours,

Another White Guy Rampage in America

Personally, I don't give a rat's ass if the Tsarnaev brothers are white. No one who goes around throwing bombs and killing people for no reason is ever gonna make it into my top ten list of favorite people on this earth, anyway, regardless of their skin color or place of national origin. Killing and mass murder have always been equal opportunity, especially when this special brand of psychopathy as exhibited by the brothers last week unfolds across our television screens.

For some reason as yet unexplained, when guys like this throw a violent temper tantrum in order to right the perceived wrongs levied against them by society, innocents die. What happened last week felt like international terrorism only because an IED(improvised explosive device) was used. However, as the story unfolded it seemed to indicate a different kind of thing, more Columbine than 9/11. Both Columbine and 9/11 are terrorism, but different kinds of terrorism, one recognized as such, the other not so much. In the psyche of Americans, 9/11 is terrorism because of who did it, or I should say, the skin color and religion of who did it. Columbine is still considered boys acting out, read that white boys acting out, like Newtown and a couple of dozen other high school killing incidents during the past decade.

They have the money, they have access to the guns and they have the perfect hiding place, in plain sight, lost in any number of the neighborhoods inhabited by the masters of the universe. These two were so arrogant that they didn't try to run away until their pictures hit the airwaves. Then it seems they decided to go out in a blaze of glory, calling attention to themselves by killing a cop, hijacking a car, reportedly telling their victim they were the bombers and getting into a gun battle with police, complete with assault weapons right out in the street. The story goes, that little brother actually killed big brother by running over him with the get away car as he lay in the street after being tackled by a police officer, but not before he was able to call his mother and say good bye. How very American of them. Up until they revealed themselves, nobody knew who or where they were. Did they screw up and just panicked? Didn't seem like there was a plan B for these guys.

It sounds like a movie script or a scene straight out of Grand Theft Auto the video game.

What was new about this old scenario is the ease with which the police, Feds and military locked down an American city and kept it that way until they got their men. What we saw was practice implementation of Martial law. What we saw this past week in Boston would have been illegal prior to 9/11. The laws enabling this militaristic mobilization went into effect 34 days after the twin towers fell. 34 days is how long it took for Congress to pass the Patriot Act and for President Bush to sign into law.

Rather than repeal these attacks on our civil liberties, our new President, Obama, has done everything in his power to strengthen those powers, enabling full White House control of the populace if and when it becomes necessary by using militarized police forces backed up by real military. ( All you second amendment, dooms day preppers, and apocalypse survivalists with your 14-15 assault weapons and big ammo clips....good luck with that when the shit hits the fan and the Feds come for your ass). But I digress....

Little brother crawled away from the gun fight only to be cornered hiding in some guy's boat four blocks away. Wounded, police are now speculating that even though they took him alive, he tried unsuccessfully to shoot himself in the head, before police stormed his hiding place. Jihadist tend to blow themselves up, not swallow a bullet. Swallowing bullets is soooo, well...  so American.

No one really knows what happened with these guys, or where or when they decided killing innocents was the play of the day. But having spent most of their lives living in America, it would be a safe bet to assume that their so called radicalization happened right here in the good old USA and not some mountain region in Eastern Europe.

RUN, HIDE..THE BIG SCARY BLACK MAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE IS GON KILL US ALL!

That's all this drone argument boils down to. The talk and what's happening ain't new. It's American tradition. When a black takes control of anything in this country, be it the White House, the neighborhood, city hall, the police department, the county commission, the courts, white folks, regardless of whether or not they voted for the black, are doing what they've always done...run for the hills. White flight, period. Time to stop laying it solely at the feet of bigoted conservatives.

It's not a republican thing or a democrat thing...it's a white thing. White folks, regardless of their political persuasion, believe that all black people do is destroy everything they touch, so it's best just to leave em to it and run. Only way to keep their families safe from marauding Negroes. Even the so called liberals point to Africa to justify their feelings, ignoring it's post colonial past, while not yet recognizing the new colonial Indian-Asian movement that has taken hold, stealing black sovereignty once again.

The new 21st century twist on this innate belief, is that silly American negroes, defined as those who think they've made it and fully assimilated into this “post racial” society are also joining this idjit moment. The SAN's have moved on up and out to the suburbs, all the while, not paying attention to fact that the new bastions of pristine Euro-whiteness are the inner cities. You know all those marvelous centuries old brownstones that black folks abandoned in favor of pre-fab heaven in the West Chesters of America, after corporate gods moved all the jobs overseas or barring that, to the suburbs.

Don't think for a moment that I am ignoring the fact that Blacks would not in the first place, be loaned the money for the massive rehabs by the white corporate bank structure needed to resurrect those old brownstones. That's another story and I digress.

Now this drone obsessed rainbow coalition is up in arms because President Obama is using machines to fight the war in Afghanistan instead of boots on the ground. The skittles movement is concerned about the “innocents” and the “US citizens” who are being targeted by big bad Obama and his rain of death from the sky. And, they are speculating that maybe, probably, he is going to target American citizens on American ground for goodness sake.

Obama Derangement Syndrome, still running amok.

Give a man a fish and he will feed himself for a day. Give a Black man power and he will kill all the white folks and declare himself king of the world. Obama Derangement Syndrome.

Yes, drones are being used in Afghanistan. Yes, innocent people are being killed. Yes, at least one American citizen has been targeted, and rightfully so, to my mind. Yes, drones are coming to the skies over America. Truth be told, they are probably already there, and as proof, all you have to do is to tune into Youtube, or Google view, whatever the hell it's called.

Americans are already on candid camera. Killing us from the sky is not a big mental leap. Putting it into practice, however, would take a little more effort. But killing Americans on American soil, anytime soon...not gonna happen.

In the future, maybe. But not now, and certainly not while Obama remains in office.

Drones...Assault weapons, big clip bans...RaHoWa (racial holy war) started by Obama...Terminator/SkyNet justice.....

Obama Derangement Syndrome...nothing more.

Conversations with my Dad

I am still mulling over a very recent conversation with my 84 year old father about guns. He is NRA, a long time member. I am not a supporter, which should be abundantly clear to anyone who reads this blog.  My father on the other hand, is a classic example of the successful marketing done by the National Rifle Association. Dad is just a guy who likes to hunt. He also has guns for home protection. He taught his daughters how to shoot. My mother is a better shot than my dad, if truth be told. He keeps them in a locked safe, which he didn't do when I was a kid, but chose to do when he started having grandchildren. He innately realized that today's kids are different from the kids of yesterday. Yesterday, if we were told not to touch the gun, we didn't, even if we knew where it was, and we did. We just left it there. My first memory of guns in the house dates back to when I was six. It was a handgun that I would come to know later was a 38.  But Dad also tends to believe everything the NRA tells him in the magazine and mass mailings to which he is subjected on a weekly basis.

The message  since  January 2009: Obama is coming to take away all of your guns.

Now my father is an intelligent man. He reads absolutely everything that finds its way into his mailbox along with the books that he buys or articles that he comes across in the newspaper, which he reads daily. My parents are still subscribers. He is skeptical about much of it. He questions a lot of what he reads. In fact our conversation began with him calling me and asking me for the definition of the word “heretic.” The word was used in an article, to refer to Chuck Hagel by republicans during the confirmation hearings last week.

From that jumping off point, we got onto gun control.

We talked about the NRA position. I told him about the NRA lies to its membership. I talked about what the President has really said. My father admitted reading about Obama's positions. I told him about how the NRA stood with Ronald Reagan against blacks and specifically the Black Panther Party carrying guns according to the Second Amendment, back in the day. How it's apparently okay for white people to own guns but not blacks. I explained the assault weapons ban that Bush allowed to expire, while Obama refused to put it back in place. Because in fact, Obama is as big a hindrance on gun control as the GOP and the NRA, regardless of how many tears he sheds in public.

I talked about how and why the NRA buys congressmen in order to get their laws passed instead of laws that would better the people and society. My Dad admitted reading articles on the subject, and recently, too.

We talked for a long time, but in the end, all my father could or would say despite all that I told him was:

But Obama is coming to take my guns and make me register the ones he lets me keep!”

NRA, mission accomplished...

Nigga with a Gun! Duck! Oh, It's Just Obama...

Considering all the crap that's gone on since Obama was elected to the White House, one would think his apparent discomfort with firearms would bring peace to white America.

But no. As soon as he admits to skeet shooting once in a while at Camp David, to demonstrate his regular guy-ness, everybody wants to see the pictures. White women line up to challenge him, betting they are better shots than the brown man who leads.

White men haven't challenged, apparently self checking into the Dick Cheney “I shot my friend in the face” column, assuming they are more manly than our current mocha prez. It's the same, tired old shit. Any white man is better than the best black one, at anything. Really?

Because that's all this crap is, another way of implying that President Obama is soft. That he is not ever up to the task of being the President of the United States again. For a second landslide term, another four years as voted by “we the people” of the United States.

And who gives a damn, anyway? The gun control debate is not about how well, or even if Obama can shoot. It's about all the fools running around with weapons of war in an alleged civilized society. That's all it's ever been. Except when it turns racial, like now, when the focus is on Obama's “manliness” or when Black Panthers were legally carrying weapons in public, back in the day. Talk about about faces, the NRA nearly gave itself whiplash back peddling on guns in public when black men took to the streets peacefully inside their own neighborhoods. The panthers didn't kill anybody, but the government declared open season and killed them.

Today, the Tea Party has been doing the same thing within the past four or five years and nobody bats an eye. GOP legislators can't change the laws quick enough to allow this blatant guns in public, anti social/racist behavior, yet all anyone can talk about is whether or not our president can shoot a gun.

Any fool can shoot a gun, just ask Dick Cheney's buddy with the shot off face.

Let's get serious. The United States Constitution allows citizens to own a gun. Second Amendment. Fine. This law also means that no one is a criminal until they pull the trigger and or kill someone. Therefore, in order to protect society from criminals, all citizens have to be regulated, because criminals will only reveal themselves through their illegal actions.

You can't just say “keep the guns away from the crazy and the criminal,” because there is no way to know them before the fact, unless there is a screening procedure and or background checks for past behavior.

And considering what happened at Sandy Hook and Columbine and all the other schools and workplace shootings, these shooters, most of them, would have passed the background checks as well as the screenings, because they are to the manor born, white guys with access to money.

Face it, the masters of the universe do not want to deal with the fact that they are raising crazy violent children. But they must if we are to survive as a civilized society.

Then again, maybe that is the issue, shrink the US until it's small enough to be drowned in a bathtub.

Is that the game being played right now? We can't have it so we're going to make sure that you don't? Really?

And don't for one minute, one second, think that I am letting Black America off the hook. There is no fucking reason on the face of this earth that justifies all the Black kids dying in Chicago, in my neighborhood and all the other urban neighborhoods in the US.

This is not a white man's problem...this is US, period. White people aren't killing US. WE are killing each other and it's got to stop.

When will the so called leaders, so called civil rights groups, so called Black religious organizations, churches wake the fuck up?

Black on black violence is not about the number of guns. It's facilitated by the abundance of weaponry, but not precipitated by it.

Our kids have been dying for a long time. Do we need a Black Sandy Hook before WE wake up, too?

Inquiring minds want to know....

Gun Violence in America,Where the Shit Hits the Fan..

If not now, When?

20 innocent white children died yesterday because another privileged white boy took his parent's weapons and acted out, horrifying America. Babies died. Teachers died. It was an almost unheard of attack on a school, except that it had happened before, at Columbine and Virginia Tech. Two days earlier another one walked into a mall in another non-urban area and killed two before killing himself. Other crazy white boys have turned churches into shooting ranges to demonstrate their hate of people who are different.

What makes this so horrifying was the age of the latest victims, 5-10 years old. Even President Obama teared up while delivering the country's condolences via nationwide news coverage.

Yet, Obama's press secretary shut down the press who dared to ask for a response, by saying “today is not the day.”

I am truly sorry so many little white kids died, yesterday. I really am. But the day to hold this conversation on gun violence in America was this past summer when gun death stalked the streets of Chicago. The day to hold this conversation was when the crazy white supremacist walked into a Sikh Temple and killed innocent people of color.

The time to hold this conversation was when Amadou DiAllou was killed at his front door, or when Sean Bell died in his car the night before he was to get married, or when Trayvon Martin was killed while walking home, or the young man was executed in the back seat of his friend's car, down in Florida, a few weeks ago.

The time to hold this conversation is the next time a bullet rips through a wall and kills a kid thought to be safe inside her own bedroom

The time to hold this conversation is whenever the Mothers of murdered children hold a march and vigil in the neighborhoods of the inner city, commemorating the lives of their dead children, just as innocent and cut down in life way to soon.

These victims, people of color, usually, are equally as innocent as the ones who died at Sandy Hook, or Columbine or Virginia Tech, but they are totally forgotten. The daily body count is not even mentioned in the same breath with what happened in these communities “where things such as this just never happen.”

Mass murders seem to be increasing in upscale communities, and I guess I should welcome the coming storm of media coverage that follows rich white people and their children when they die. However,  daily killings go on in urban centers unabated, and unreported, and all we get is silence from Washington.

Another crazy white boy takes out a Congresswoman and nine others, and all you hear from Congress is silence when one of their own is cut down.

Nothing. Nada.

Neither side of the congressional aisle had anything to say when Gabbie Giffords was shot, or yesterday, proving that Democrats are as bought and paid for by the National Rifle Association as Republicans. Everybody who calls himself a politician suckles at the NRA money tit, regardless of the outcry coming from the people they are supposed to represent.

The second amendment was not meant to be stretched this far or used for the purpose of allowing crazies to arm themselves with big guns in order to kill the rest of us. I've got no problem with hunters or home protection. But the question that has to be answered is, what “game” are you hunting for with an AK-47 or a gun that fires wall piercing bullets?

Which brings me back to the President. Having recently won re election in a landslide, isn't it time to speak up on the things that people care about, namely gun violence, stopping the wars altogether, and rebuilding infrastructure, mental health issues, climate change and the environment?

Not like the prez is going to lose any votes by addressing what we think is in his heart. The blue collar and rich white men who hate him now, are not gonna change their minds if he stays silent on gun control.

They're already pissed off, so let's go all the way and piss them off some more.

We the people gave Obama his Teflon coat of armor. Now is the time to put it on and take down some of the demons that plague us as a country. Time to make some real, meaningful change.

Top of the list, gun violence and mental health.

How about it Mr. President?

Are We There Yet? Romney-Obama Election 2012

Well, it's another election night eve for me, and lord knows I've been through a lot of them. 41 consecutive years of casting votes for somebody since I turned 21, back in 1971.

The year after I turned 21, I worked on the campaign that successfully gave 18 year olds the vote, when I was already legal, as we used to say. Seems it's my life karma to be early or late, never in perfect step. In other words I have always had to bring my own music and make up my own dance as I went along, while time and circumstance did it's own thing. But that's another story. I digress.

Thinking about what we are about to do again, which is to give the reins of government back to Barack Hussein Obama for another four years, makes me happy, sad and nostalgic all at the same time. On this night, this election eve, the climax of a never ending campaign that started on inauguration day 2009, I'm feeling like what Fannie Lou Hamer said, “I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.” This time around, it was too much. Too much information. Too much lying. Too much pontificating and equivocating. My head hurts.

I've been watching elections since before they were televised in color. I've been voting since before somebody dreamed up HDTV.

General Eisenhower is the first president in my memory. I was born during Truman, but not until just before his election. John Kennedy was the first president I loved. It wounded me deeply when he died. Never met Lynchin Bains Johnson. That's what we called him. He signed the Civil Rights Bills into Law, but that didn't endear him to me. Not then.

Rumor had it that he was nuts. We had a crazy man in the White House, who may have had our beloved JFK killed. However, nobody really knows or will ever know who hired the gunmen on the grassy knoll down in Dallas that day.

Nixon was the first president with whom I shook hands, both he and his wife. Didn't vote for him. Wasn't quite old enough to vote against him. Do know I didn't like his bigotry. Smacked of the same ole shit being dished out by the likes of George Wallace and Bull Connor, except this man occupied the White House.

I was still naive enough back in the day to believe that if a man could rise to the level of President, he certainly couldn't also be a bigot or a racist, not really. Silly me.

Gerald Ford, the man who took over for Tricky Dick Nixon was a decent man. I was a working reporter by the time he came into office and I was humbled by the fact that he knew me on sight and called me “jo.” President Carter was another decent man who has been totally disrespected and wrongfully forgotten.

I interviewed Ronald Reagan four times, starting in 1976 at the Republican convention and could never get past the fact that I was talking to an actor, somebody who was playing a part in a B movie. The conversations were great, but I never bought the good guy act. His voodoo economics initiated the downfall of the American Middle Class and the decline of Unions as well as worker's rights.

Daddy Bush, Bill Clinton and Junior Bush were merely days at work...more fun with Clinton, less so with George the elder and George the younger. The younger Bush especially was like hitching a ride across the ocean on a boat named Titanic with no Leonardo DiCaprio to save my ass.

And then comes Barack Obama.

I was not a supporter in the beginning. I didn't believe a Black man could be elected in America. I dreamed of the possibility, but expected to be dead by the time it actually happened. I believed the racists were too strong to let it happen. I still believe they will turn out tomorrow in an attempt to keep him from a second term.

And I still fear for his life. Because in this country, it's a truth that what white men can't control, they kill. They kill when their status quo is threatened, and Barack Obama is the walking, talking example of threat to the complacency of the masters of the universe.

Obama is one of the few people who can move me to tears. I cried when he won in 2008. I cried at his Inauguration. I cried when I heard him speak last night.

But Last night at the UC arena, I also heard within his speech echoes of the last speech of Dr. Martin Luther King, and it bothered me.

I have been to the mountaintop....”

Those uncomfortable echoes are resting heavily on me tonight, as I write this now.

In the meantime....I will happily vote tomorrow to move this country forward, and wait for what I hope will be a joyous night. History to be made, and a happy ending to be written. A celebration of the 44th President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama.

To be continued......................................

The VP and Mista- Joe Biden and Paul Ryan Aftermath

The Vice Presidential debate is over and if nothing else, it was extremely entertaining, if you like watching adults beat up on snarky, petulant children. The VP in the debate was of course Joe Biden, However, I don't really know what to call Paul Ryan. He didn't want to be called “congressman,” which he is and has been for the past 14 years. He wanted to be addressed as “Mr” instead, which is his right, I would guess.

So what, is this, his way of distancing himself from the most do nothing Congress in the history of America? He can use any title that he wants, but it doesn't erase the fact that he is one of the most extreme members of the worthless, teabagger 112th

The night was heavy on foreign policy, which was good, considering the moderator was the very accomplished Martha Raddatz, ABC's foreign policy expert reporter. Even Joe Biden said that Martha had been to Iraq and Afghanistan more than either of the contenders sitting at the table with her and she showed off her stuff, too amidst the bombast that was flying around the room.

One also got the sense that women live in America, too. Talk did turn briefly to Abortion. Both men are Catholic, with Ryan vowing to impose his personal belief system onto the country at the first given opportunity. He believes life begins at conception, a belief that effectively relegates women to baby-making machines. Biden also claims the pro life label, but said he does not believe that others, namely women, should live by his personal belief system. He said women should govern their own lives, just as men do.

Still no mention of immigration or unemployment, two issues that heavily affect those of us who are not white and male. Maybe next time. Biden was able to expose the fact that most of what the Romney/Ryan ticket claims are differences in foreign policy from The President are in fact not differences at all. The policies are practically mirror image to what is currently in play. No difference.

If there was a winner, it was Joe Biden, who worked through a lot of euphemisms to keep from calling Paul Ryan a liar to his face. He got his points across without having to go there. Biden accomplished what he set out to do and that was to wipe any perceived egg off of President Obama's face, since most pundits feel he screwed the pooch in the first debate a couple of weeks ago. Conservative columnist George Will, who was ecstatic at Romney's performance two weeks ago, went so far as to say that the only reason Barack Obama is up in the polls in the first place is because he is Black. Can't wait for his column this week. Probably will say Biden won because Obama is Black.

MR Ryan had to prove that he could handle himself in the spotlight. He got rattled, but managed to survive. He proved to be a good sidekick, however, there is much need to grow and improve, if he intends to claim the top spot on the teabag ticket in 2016. Al Sharpton called Ryan a fibber instead of a liar-said he had not yet grown into full blown liar status.

Honestly, I can't imagine that there are people who haven't yet made up their minds about this election. It's over, one way or another. It is time to vote.

Vote Responsibly on November 6th.

Queen Ann “let them kiss my ass” Romney

I mean, lied about what? This is something he’s been saying all along. This is what he believes. This is his policy, these are his statements," …........"I mean, lie — it’s sort of like someone that’s, you know, in the sandbox that like lost the game and they’re just going to kick sand in someone’s face and say, ‘you liar.’ I mean, it’s like they lost, and so now they just are going to say, OK, the game, we didn’t like the game. So to me, it’s poor sportsmanship.” -Ann Romney to FOX News.

Her majesty, Lady Romney, was talking about President Obama, comparing him to a child in a sandbox. She even called him a bad sport. The layers and levels of total disrespect in that short paragraph are amazing. There has been so much disrespect voiced for Obama that people are becoming numb to further utterances from the batshit crazy crew on the right.

I should qualify that-some white people and younger Blacks are stupefied by the levels of hate. We older Black people have grown up with it. A sad truth, that in this American society, the closer you get to becoming equal, or achieving equality at work, at school or in sports, hate and bigotry increase exponentially, still.

So, really, anything coming out of Queen Ann's mouth should not surprise us. But you know it's really bad when folks start using the “stupid C***” curse! Saw that this morning when I opened up comments on my Facebook page. C*** is reserved for the highest of the high bitches. You really have to piss someone off to be publicly called a C***.

I guess no one in all of her 60 some odd years on this planet ever told this woman to STFU. Bet she doesn't even know what that means, STFU. It's understandable, when your husband makes as much money as Mitt, there is really no one except Mitt himself who can shut you down, you think.

To Ann's mind, he is already king of the world, so why shouldn't she and her brood of Mormon stallions live in the number one house in the universe-The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Mitt wins the White House and Ann Romney's transformation from mousy brown haired catholic college doormat to brassy blond first Mormon first lady of all she surveys would be complete.

SHE-WHO-WOULD-NOT-BE-DENIED doesn't see the lies being told by her husband because she gets what she wants when she wants it. Mitt doesn't bother to lie to her. He simply gives her what she needs or wants, and she thinks that is the way he will govern the country. But in her mind, he will give us deadbeats and victims the kick in the pants, and character building lessons that we need to succeed in life in the same way that Mittens has. Nevermind we had to work from the bottom up-no trust fund ladders in our climb, no sirree.

I'm sure in Ann's mind her Mitt will deliver sweetness along with justice and discipline, just like they raised their five boys, who don't seem to have left home and still apparently live in the basement, coming up to work for their father when he needs to appear American-Family-Dreamish.

He will tell us exactly what we need to hear, when we need to hear it, and that is the problem, Miss Ann. Telling us what we need to hear, when we need to hear it, are called “LIES” in the real world, your majesty.

The truth never bends to fit your idea of reality. It just is, and you, we, all of us have to deal with it.

The truth....Mitt Romney is extremely pro life, meaning he is into fetus worship, meaning he will use all the power of his office, should he get there, to eliminate health care for women. In fact, it's the only war that Romney is comfortable with-The GOP War on Women.

Mitt favors a 20% across the board tax cut for everyone...which if implemented will increase the deficit by 4.9 trillion dollars.

Mitt favors increasing spending for Defense by a couple of trillion dollars in a time when the USA is dialing down it's militarism against the rest of the world. And yes, Miss Ann, the rest of the world thinks Americans are full of blood lust and hate for brown people who have funny names, worship other gods and live in far away places.

Showing them how strong we are, only begets more war like that thing going on in Afghanistan that Mitt refuses to acknowledge or talk about. Makes you wonder, is Mitt afraid of war and battle? Seems that way since he draft dodged his way through Vietnam and ignored every other war or military action in which this country has engaged in for the past several years. The lie in this is that he thinks he wants to be commander in chief...no he doesn't.

The truth was told by Mitt to those people in that dinner down in Florida. Romney and his FLAQ (first lady and Mormon queen) have absolutely no use for nearly half of this country. It is not his job, he said, to care about the 47%. Mitt Romney wasn't lying when he stood there that night.

Trying to convince us that he cares is the biggest lie of all.

Mitt Romney doesn't give a damn about anyone and neither does Miss Ann and they prove it every time they try to talk to regular people like us.

Vote Responsibly on November 6th or before.
