The Palinator Pope

Well Pope Bennie has taken his last spin around St. Peters in the Pope mobile. His resignation is official at 8pm Thursday night, clearing the way for that one ring circus, the college of cardinals. The meeting, usually held after a pontiff dies, will take place for the first time with the big guy still alive for the first time in 600 years, tucked away inside a monastic retreat on Vatican grounds, some say to prevent prosecution for any one of a number of scandals rocking the papacy.

Bennie will get to keep his pope name instead of revert back to Joseph, which is his real name, and he can still wear virgin white vestments. However he's gotta give up those sparkly red Prada loafers. (Wonder if he will sell them on Ebay and donate the money to feed the hungry...nah) Think he probably has to give back the pope ring, too.

And now that good old Ben has been tucked out of sight, the drama swept under the rug, temporarily at least, now comes time for the other men who favor dresses, big high hats and pretty shoes to take over the spotlight and select their new spiritual leader via the smoke, but no mirror method.

By the way, was Ru Paul invited to this shindig? Nevermind, I digress.

Word is that chocolate is the flavor of the month according to all the English bookies. Seems an African cardinal, Peter Terkson is one of the favorites. Cardinal Peter is one of the many religious leaders who has signed off on all the “kill the gays” legislation circulating on the Continent (ya'll do know Africa is a Continent-not a country, right?)

Cardinal Peter has gone so far as to say recently all the child abuse in the church...ALL of that scandal is the work of devious gays trying to take down the church.

And although the mainstream media keeps billing him as maybe the first black pope, history tells us there have been at least two others, which would make 3 total, if it happens. Just look what Barack has started. Next thing you know, they will be talking about the possibility of a female pope. But that can't happen until the Holy See starts “seeing” women as human beings worthy of the priesthood.

With Cardinal Peter of Africa and Cardinal Timmy of New York as the favorites who don't live in Italy, women as priests let alone as pope probable, ain't gonna happen anytime soon. At the rate Bennie was going before he pulled-a-palin, all the nuns in America were close to being kicked out of the church anyway for bucking his papal authority. That would make the church, the old boys club that they all want anyway. They can't even admit that Mary Magdalene might have been Jesus' friend and disciple rather than the local hooker with a heart of gold.

Oh well. Bennie changed the rules so the college of cardinals don't have to wait 15 days to elect a new leader, so let the games begin.

Going to pop some popcorn and kick back in front of the telly to wait for the white smoke (what? You didn't think the signal was going to be black, did you?), which will signal the selection of the Last Pope according to the prophecy of St. Malachi. Read here

 If that happens, I'm going to start partying like it's 1999, because it really will be the end of the world and not as we know it.

Conversations with my Dad

I am still mulling over a very recent conversation with my 84 year old father about guns. He is NRA, a long time member. I am not a supporter, which should be abundantly clear to anyone who reads this blog.  My father on the other hand, is a classic example of the successful marketing done by the National Rifle Association. Dad is just a guy who likes to hunt. He also has guns for home protection. He taught his daughters how to shoot. My mother is a better shot than my dad, if truth be told. He keeps them in a locked safe, which he didn't do when I was a kid, but chose to do when he started having grandchildren. He innately realized that today's kids are different from the kids of yesterday. Yesterday, if we were told not to touch the gun, we didn't, even if we knew where it was, and we did. We just left it there. My first memory of guns in the house dates back to when I was six. It was a handgun that I would come to know later was a 38.  But Dad also tends to believe everything the NRA tells him in the magazine and mass mailings to which he is subjected on a weekly basis.

The message  since  January 2009: Obama is coming to take away all of your guns.

Now my father is an intelligent man. He reads absolutely everything that finds its way into his mailbox along with the books that he buys or articles that he comes across in the newspaper, which he reads daily. My parents are still subscribers. He is skeptical about much of it. He questions a lot of what he reads. In fact our conversation began with him calling me and asking me for the definition of the word “heretic.” The word was used in an article, to refer to Chuck Hagel by republicans during the confirmation hearings last week.

From that jumping off point, we got onto gun control.

We talked about the NRA position. I told him about the NRA lies to its membership. I talked about what the President has really said. My father admitted reading about Obama's positions. I told him about how the NRA stood with Ronald Reagan against blacks and specifically the Black Panther Party carrying guns according to the Second Amendment, back in the day. How it's apparently okay for white people to own guns but not blacks. I explained the assault weapons ban that Bush allowed to expire, while Obama refused to put it back in place. Because in fact, Obama is as big a hindrance on gun control as the GOP and the NRA, regardless of how many tears he sheds in public.

I talked about how and why the NRA buys congressmen in order to get their laws passed instead of laws that would better the people and society. My Dad admitted reading articles on the subject, and recently, too.

We talked for a long time, but in the end, all my father could or would say despite all that I told him was:

“But Obama is coming to take my guns and make me register the ones he lets me keep!”

NRA, mission accomplished...

Nigga with a Gun! Duck! Oh, It's Just Obama...

Considering all the crap that's gone on since Obama was elected to the White House, one would think his apparent discomfort with firearms would bring peace to white America.

But no. As soon as he admits to skeet shooting once in a while at Camp David, to demonstrate his regular guy-ness, everybody wants to see the pictures. White women line up to challenge him, betting they are better shots than the brown man who leads.

White men haven't challenged, apparently self checking into the Dick Cheney “I shot my friend in the face” column, assuming they are more manly than our current mocha prez. It's the same, tired old shit. Any white man is better than the best black one, at anything. Really?

Because that's all this crap is, another way of implying that President Obama is soft. That he is not ever up to the task of being the President of the United States again. For a second landslide term, another four years as voted by “we the people” of the United States.

And who gives a damn, anyway? The gun control debate is not about how well, or even if Obama can shoot. It's about all the fools running around with weapons of war in an alleged civilized society. That's all it's ever been. Except when it turns racial, like now, when the focus is on Obama's “manliness” or when Black Panthers were legally carrying weapons in public, back in the day. Talk about about faces, the NRA nearly gave itself whiplash back peddling on guns in public when black men took to the streets peacefully inside their own neighborhoods. The panthers didn't kill anybody, but the government declared open season and killed them.

Today, the Tea Party has been doing the same thing within the past four or five years and nobody bats an eye. GOP legislators can't change the laws quick enough to allow this blatant guns in public, anti social/racist behavior, yet all anyone can talk about is whether or not our president can shoot a gun.

Any fool can shoot a gun, just ask Dick Cheney's buddy with the shot off face.

Let's get serious. The United States Constitution allows citizens to own a gun. Second Amendment. Fine. This law also means that no one is a criminal until they pull the trigger and or kill someone. Therefore, in order to protect society from criminals, all citizens have to be regulated, because criminals will only reveal themselves through their illegal actions.

You can't just say “keep the guns away from the crazy and the criminal,” because there is no way to know them before the fact, unless there is a screening procedure and or background checks for past behavior.

And considering what happened at Sandy Hook and Columbine and all the other schools and workplace shootings, these shooters, most of them, would have passed the background checks as well as the screenings, because they are to the manor born, white guys with access to money.

Face it, the masters of the universe do not want to deal with the fact that they are raising crazy violent children. But they must if we are to survive as a civilized society.

Then again, maybe that is the issue, shrink the US until it's small enough to be drowned in a bathtub.

Is that the game being played right now? We can't have it so we're going to make sure that you don't? Really?

And don't for one minute, one second, think that I am letting Black America off the hook. There is no fucking reason on the face of this earth that justifies all the Black kids dying in Chicago, in my neighborhood and all the other urban neighborhoods in the US.

This is not a white man's problem...this is US, period. White people aren't killing US. WE are killing each other and it's got to stop.

When will the so called leaders, so called civil rights groups, so called Black religious organizations, churches wake the fuck up?

Black on black violence is not about the number of guns. It's facilitated by the abundance of weaponry, but not precipitated by it.

Our kids have been dying for a long time. Do we need a Black Sandy Hook before WE wake up, too?

Hey America, You Can Have My Guns When You Pry Them from My Cold Dead Hands

Was anyone really surprised by what came out of the National Rifle Association's news conference yesterday? After a week of silence about the deaths at Sandy Hook Elementary, Wayne La Pierre, the NRA's head honcho stepped to the mic and basically told America to go fuck itself.

His right to own guns trumps any right we the people have to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, period.

His right to own weapons of mass murder trumps any desire that we the people may have for living in a world with no guns.

As La Pierre said, “guns don't kill people. People kill people.”

In Wayne's world it's the violent video games and violent action movies coming out of Hollywood that are responsible for the proliferation of violence in America. Cowboy movies made us kill off all the Indians, apparently.

His solution is to put armed men trained by the NRA in every single school in America and he demanded that Congress pay for them. “you know how to stop a bad guy with a gun, a good guy with a gun, shooting back at him.” That was Wacko Wayne's big solution to ending American gun violence.

Not fewer guns or better background checks or waiting periods or better mental health care for Americans, or studies as to why it seems white guys want to kill everyone in sight before they off themselves or die by cop. No Wayne wants to add more possibilities of violence to the mix.

What next shooting 101 for K-4, to be taught immediately after recess?

Sounds like good ole insane Wayne was describing himself in that last quote, doesn't it. The monsters among us have already been profiled and it's funny how they all look like Wayne, talk like Wayne and walk like Wayne.

Maybe we should let law enforcement work the profile, backed up by the improved mental health offered by Affordable Health Care, along with a reinstatement of the ban on assault weapons, better background checks and waiting periods, for starters.

Then let's work on limiting bullets and mass-kill magazines. 

Gun Violence in America,Where the Shit Hits the Fan..

If not now, When?

20 innocent white children died yesterday because another privileged white boy took his parent's weapons and acted out, horrifying America. Babies died. Teachers died. It was an almost unheard of attack on a school, except that it had happened before, at Columbine and Virginia Tech. Two days earlier another one walked into a mall in another non-urban area and killed two before killing himself. Other crazy white boys have turned churches into shooting ranges to demonstrate their hate of people who are different.

What makes this so horrifying was the age of the latest victims, 5-10 years old. Even President Obama teared up while delivering the country's condolences via nationwide news coverage.

Yet, Obama's press secretary shut down the press who dared to ask for a response, by saying “today is not the day.”

I am truly sorry so many little white kids died, yesterday. I really am. But the day to hold this conversation on gun violence in America was this past summer when gun death stalked the streets of Chicago. The day to hold this conversation was when the crazy white supremacist walked into a Sikh Temple and killed innocent people of color.

The time to hold this conversation was when Amadou DiAllou was killed at his front door, or when Sean Bell died in his car the night before he was to get married, or when Trayvon Martin was killed while walking home, or the young man was executed in the back seat of his friend's car, down in Florida, a few weeks ago.

The time to hold this conversation is the next time a bullet rips through a wall and kills a kid thought to be safe inside her own bedroom

The time to hold this conversation is whenever the Mothers of murdered children hold a march and vigil in the neighborhoods of the inner city, commemorating the lives of their dead children, just as innocent and cut down in life way to soon.

These victims, people of color, usually, are equally as innocent as the ones who died at Sandy Hook, or Columbine or Virginia Tech, but they are totally forgotten. The daily body count is not even mentioned in the same breath with what happened in these communities “where things such as this just never happen.”

Mass murders seem to be increasing in upscale communities, and I guess I should welcome the coming storm of media coverage that follows rich white people and their children when they die. However,  daily killings go on in urban centers unabated, and unreported, and all we get is silence from Washington.

Another crazy white boy takes out a Congresswoman and nine others, and all you hear from Congress is silence when one of their own is cut down.

Nothing. Nada.

Neither side of the congressional aisle had anything to say when Gabbie Giffords was shot, or yesterday, proving that Democrats are as bought and paid for by the National Rifle Association as Republicans. Everybody who calls himself a politician suckles at the NRA money tit, regardless of the outcry coming from the people they are supposed to represent.

The second amendment was not meant to be stretched this far or used for the purpose of allowing crazies to arm themselves with big guns in order to kill the rest of us. I've got no problem with hunters or home protection. But the question that has to be answered is, what “game” are you hunting for with an AK-47 or a gun that fires wall piercing bullets?

Which brings me back to the President. Having recently won re election in a landslide, isn't it time to speak up on the things that people care about, namely gun violence, stopping the wars altogether, and rebuilding infrastructure, mental health issues, climate change and the environment?

Not like the prez is going to lose any votes by addressing what we think is in his heart. The blue collar and rich white men who hate him now, are not gonna change their minds if he stays silent on gun control.

They're already pissed off, so let's go all the way and piss them off some more.

We the people gave Obama his Teflon coat of armor. Now is the time to put it on and take down some of the demons that plague us as a country. Time to make some real, meaningful change.

Top of the list, gun violence and mental health.

Beam Me Up Scotty, No Need to Christmas Shop

Well, here we are, one month after the re election of America's first Black President, and it's time for the world to end, again. It's due to end on December 21, 2012. That's 20 days from today and the reasons for it vary.

If you recently bought a Mayan Calendar, then your calendar ends in 20 days, at about noon, and since time ends when the Mayans Calendar ends, so does the earth according to doomsayers. We can't really ask any Mayans for verification of their arithmetic, because all the Mayans, themselves, have died or were killed off a long time ago by marauding Conquistadors who infected them with white man's disease when they didn't kill them outright. Historians say it's not gonna happen. The EOWAWKI (end of the world as we know it) folks have cyphered wrong, and basically all they are doing with their predictions is driving kids crazy or to suicide.

If you believe in aliens and follow NASA and all space happenings, then look to the sky because some rogue planet named Nibiru is heading toward earth on collision course. Doesn't matter that nobody can see it. Hell, nobody has ever seen it in the sky. NASA says no such planet or moon has ever existed. But it's there, say all the astro-nuts waiting for it.

Many of these astro-nuts are congregating in a small town in French Alps to wait for the Earth to Nibiru head-on collision. Seems there is a portal there to take anyone who wants to survive the collision to another planet or dimension.The portal, or dimensional doorway is in somebody's garage.

It's gotten so bad that the town mayor has issued a “do not come” order to those thinking of coming. He is shutting down the border right about now. So people will have to choose another vantage point or find another garage from which to “beam up.”

Run of the mill Christians are still waiting to be Raptured ala Revelation. You can read about it in the bible written by good King James of England. But don't ask Rev Harold Camping out in California. He's missed his due date twice, and his followers are all pissed off at him since they sold or gave away all their earthly possessions and are still here and have to face the bill collectors. So now he refuses to tell us heathens just when the world will end.

Of course you can always pray for continued good health for Pope Benedict. Once upon a time, long ago, in 1590, Irish Saint Malachy said there would be 112 popes to reign over the Holy See in Rome and then the world would end. Pope Bennie is pope number 111. The last pope would be Peter the Roman who will nourish the sheeple through many trials and tribulation and when he dies, the city of seven hills will be destroyed and the judge of judges will exact punishment on his people. The End.

Many people think this last prediction was actually Nostradamus playing tricks on the Catholic Church...that St Malachy was in fact Nostradamus in drag. Who knows.

Maybe those of us who live in cities built on seven hills, like Cincinnati, Ohio, should move to other locations just to be safe.

Personally, I'm not doing any Christmas shopping until December 22^nd. No sense in wasting the money, if nobody is gonna be here to rock around the Christmas tree on Christmas.

The End of the World cancels Kwanzaa, too. But considering that most of this end times crap is a response to America's first Black President, maybe killing Kwanzaa was the real goal in the first place.

Another quote taken from an essay written by one of these stockholm syndrome bitches. Blaming the victim for the actions of the oppressor. Last time I looked we still live in a patriarchal society. One built by the very “slackers” who are “retreating” from marriage en mass as a reaction to virulent “feminism.”

Women have always been victimized by the consequences of sex. Well before feminism took shape, men had sex when they wanted it. They married it and demanded it or raped their girlfriends or other women, when they chose. Women were always kicked to the curb when men decided they wanted a new and or younger model. Feminism didn't create that. Men did. Now they're crying because women, tired of being treated no better than a retreaded tire, have taken control of their own lives?

Men are crying about sex and marriage just like old white men are crying about darkies not knowing their place in society these days. The world is changing around them, and they, meaning men, are not “transforming” to deal with modern day relationships and situations. Some males are acting like spoiled children who no longer are being given their way and have decided to hold their breath and turn blue to demonstrate their displeasure.

Or they sit back and watch the girl on girl action while women such as Venker write books, work in the real world, be the bread winner in their households, and take every advantage that feminism grants them, bashing all other women who strive, without calling themselves feminists. It's like wiggers or gay republicans, making a life co opting other minority cultures but running for the safety of whiteness when shit hits the fan. Venker and her stepford wife sisters hide behind their trophy husbands ignoring the fact that almost all traditional marriages are not the stuff of fairytale and legend. They've just found out a way to make it work. But isn't that what feminism teaches all women about life in general?

As women change and gain success in the business world and world in general, they are not willing to settle for mates who are little more than bigger versions of their children, rather than partners in life. Some men, are refusing to step up to the plate and to grow.

What feminism means is that women no longer will settle when there is a better life visible on the horizon. Some would prefer to share that life with men, others are willing to seek it out without them, having sex and raising children on their own terms, primarily because feminism has taught them they can afford it emotionally and financially and they deserve it. Period.

And he did (can't believe I agreed with AC). Badly. It was serious. As my old friend Cindy, from Jacksonville used to say, “Obama stomped a mud hole up Romney's ass so big it made the Mississippi River look like a dried up creek bed!” (say that with a hillbilly lilt)

Now the leader of the Prick Posse is pissed. He is what every Bully is, all talk, no show, no fight, no win.


So sure that he was gonna win that he was barely able to gracefully concede. No surprise, he had already shown that the only Gentleman in his family was his father, may he rest in peace.

And from a distance, where ever the hell he is hiding these days, he takes yet another swipe at the 47%, demonstrating his terminal cluelessness.


Romney claims we the people, were bought and paid for by the President. Obama gave us “gifts” to steal the election from the real savior and great white hope.

As if we the poor and middle class don't recognize shit wrapped in birthday foil paper when we smell it.


He dismissed us, then proceeded to talk down to us, or around us, or through us, as if we don't matter, ever.


In Romney world, the world where he was running for President, there were wives, kids, hired help and the rest of us.

SECEDE? Nigga Please, “Git Yo Shit Outta My House!”

Boy... my inner Bernadette jumped outta my chest when I read this story. Did you know that in the wake of Obama's re election last Tuesday, more than 100,000 people politely petitioned the White House for permission to take their State and secede from the Union.

“Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these, ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it and institute new government.”

That's from the United States Constitution, which these “makers” cite as their justification for leaving and forming their own country. They don't mention President Obama by name, but rest assured these are the same assholes who have been jumping up and down claiming they are going to take back their country from the “pimps, whores and welfare brats” who voted for the “Kenyan.”

Let me buy you a clue, geniuses....Secession is treason, period. There is nothing polite about it. You either shoot and take it, if you can, or you shut the fuck up, die or go to jail. Remember that thing called the Civil War?

If you actually read anything besides the classic comics version of United States Government rules, regulations and contracts, you would know that there is only one state that could possibly and legally secede. That would be the great State of Texas, and I emphasize the word “possibly.”

As citizens, you are always free to go. Make like a pilgrim. Pretend you're Christopher Columbus and strike out in a boat. Re enact the Middle Passage in reverse. But you can't take the country with you. The land does not belong to you. It belongs to the people of the United States of America.

And, no we don't want you camping out in our backyard, either. When you leave, take your shit, strap it on your back, your wife's back or on top of the car along side the dog and drive north or south til you get to the border.

At the crossing, give back your American passport, if you have one, renounce your citizenship and then hit the accelerator, and drive to where ever the fuck you can find happiness.

A couple things.....driving north will take you to Canada, a primarily white country that has a reasonably good relationship with it's browner, indigenous predecessors. Bear in mind that the country is a bit more socialist than your old home country and just about everybody speaks French.

Or you can drive south into Central America. But then you immediately run into a bunch of short brown people...everywhere. And it gets worse, since history tells us that more slaves were sold to Central and South America, then ended up here in the good ole USA.

You'd know that if you ever cracked a non Texas made history book.

Attracting Blacks and Latinos to the GOP? When Karl Rove Can Dunk a Basketball Without a Ladder!

It ain't gonna happen with the current state of the Grand Old Party. Blacks and Latinos and other self respecting minorities are going to do what they did, run in terror to the Democrats. And quiet as it's kept, that's no real salvation either.

The truth of the matter is that both of the major political parties in America, Suck. They suck big ones, big time. All the time. But as bad as the Democratic Party is, the GOP is like following a guy named Jim Jones to paradise and then having good ole Jim force you to drink kool aid laced with cyanide.

That's just dumb. No thinking person of color does that unless somebody is also holding a gun to their head.

And nothing pisses me off more than for some clueless white person or stupid negro to tell me that Blacks should be Republicans because the GOP is the Party of Lincoln, and “you know, he did free the slaves.”

Well whoopie fuckin' deal.

Let's buy a vowel, shall we. The Republican Party of Lincoln is NOT the Republican Party of today. Hell, the Republican Party of today is not even the GOP of the 20^th Century. The current GOP must have secretly beamed down from some alien planet that is invisibly circling our sun, or passing through our universe, because these so called Republicans have absolutely no human or recognizable conservative attributes, what so ever.

I learned about conservative Republicans from my own family. Most of the elder generation, some of whom were freed slaves, were also Republicans-Lincoln Republicans. However, by the time I became old enough to vote, some six decades ago, only a colored fool, would even talk about being in the GOP. We dark, but we ain't crazy. Aligning with the GOP is like a slave running with the KKK, thinking he's a member instead of entertainment at the picnic, and that was 40 years ago. The GOP has devolved even more and is a shrunken skull of what it once was.

I learned that Black Republicans looked and acted like General Colin Powell, or Senator Ed Brooke, or Activist and writer, Raynard Jackson, Dr. Martin Luther King or my grandfather, James Chenault Senior. Even Condoleeza Rice was a Lincoln type Republican until she started worshiping at the throne of the Tea Party. The formerly respectable conservative Dr. Rice has gone all the way crazy and I find that sad because she really could help her party by being the conservative beacon that she used to be, prior to her stints with Dubya and company.

These people were people of honor, without a bigoted bone in their bodies. They have love for everybody. They just take different paths to problems that need solving. Some people approach from the left, some from the right, but the goal is the same and the problem gets solved for the benefit of all.

Conservative vs Liberal. It's not a war. It's not a competition. It's a different way of looking at the world. Conservative vs Liberal is merely a difference of opinion. Nothing more.

This is not happening today. The people who call themselves conservatives today are not conservatives in the old sense of the word. They are bigots, racists or white supremacists in expensive Brooks Brothers suits, claiming to be Patriots and real Americans, demanding total access to and control of a world not of their making. They stole this bitch from the Indians, and Latinos, and Black people built em a country on it, for goodness sake. Let's get real.

Rush Limbaugh, the defacto chairman of the Republican Party is a clown. The words coming out of his mouth are toxic and meant to divide. Said Rush:

We had Suzanne Martinez, female Hispanic governor, New Mexico. We had Condoleezza Rice, African-American, former secretary of state. ... And they all had a common story: up from nothing, hard work, their parents sacrificed for them.....They told those stories with great pride. Those stories evoked tears. Well, duh! First off, these people are exceptional in their accomplishments, but not unusual or rare within the people of color universe and that is what Rush and his Ditto-heads miss or don't understand.

The problem with the current Republican Party is its stance on life in general. In order to fit in, one would have to be white, preferably male, Christian-Mormon Christian is apparently okay, now, and believe that life begins as soon as the magic sperm swimmer meets with a viable egg inside a woman's body during intercourse or rape or incest.

Many people of color are not Christian. Half of us aren't even male. And the main point is that the present beliefs of the modern day Republican Party are so outside the realm of reality as to be ludicrous. So ludicrous that the aforementioned Conservatives that I talked about could not be members of this GOP. My granddad is turning over in his grave. General Powell voted for the Democrat. Only Dr. Rice has turned to the dark side among this group.

It is important to note that all aforementioned still consider themselves conservatives, just not like this.

To be sure, there are some rays of hope, the David Stockmans of the world, Meghan McCain, heck even her mother, Cindy. John McCain has gone off the deep end. There is no more hope for him. But there are some who see what is going on, and I truly hope they become strong enough to rescue the party away from the bigots, racists, white supremacists and separatists who have taken over.

The way to signal change, is to simply change:

1. Dump the Republican Party Platform of the past 20 years.
2. Expel the extremists...Grover Norquist, Karl Rove, The Koch Brothers, etc
3. Silence the nut fringe.... Rush, Laura, Ann, Dickie,
4. Invite the real conservatives back to the table
5. Understand that People of Color are just like you

It's like Meghan McCain twitted out on Wednesday:

“I don’t need to do any soul-searching about what the GOP is doing wrong . #evolve,” “Keep calling people like me RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) and see how many elections we keep winning,”

That would be a very good starting place. If that is not acceptable, then the alternative was offered up the Cincinnati Tea Party, based in Lebanon Ohio and calling itself Cincinnati because nobody has ever heard of Lebanon Ohio, or the bigotry toward Blacks that has resided there for my entire lifetime:

Obama Wins, Romney Loses

Inquiring minds want to know now whether this bloviating piece of shit is leaving America like he promised? Or has it dawned on him that America is the only place where his style of crap still floats? Buy a clue Rushie..go sit down somewhere and be quiet.

It's so bad for white rich guys this morning that punk ass Donald Trump is calling for revolution to “take back his country.”

Wha cha gonna do now Donald....put “General” in front of your name, borrow Mitt's dancing horse and wave a saber, yelling “CHARGE” as you gallop down 6^th Ave? Of course you will have to take that chia pet off your head in order to wear a general's hat. You will also have to understand that old white guys may start wars, but they never fight them, so there won't be anybody behind you, following you down your personal and chosen path of destruction.

On morning news the white guys sent out to spin the election are barely contrite. You can actually see the steam coming from their ears as they attempted to be humble. They had that “deer caught in headlights stare...did you see the truck that just backed over us” kind of look,  while attempting to project warmth and humanness into the camera.

I wrote four years ago, that all you had to do was to let these fools talk and they would eventually hang themselves. They did just that, last night. The past four years has been a massive circle jerk with the election climaxing in a circular lynching party. I'm just sorry that it took so long for it to kick in, but it happened, finally. The length of time it took, made the rest of us stronger, in the end.

Romney and the teabags ran a campaign of “do as I say...do as I need...and maybe after that happens...we will take care of you..meantime...the sky is purple and you're happy!...repeat that over and over again until you believe it.”

The days of believing what the former masters of the universe say....taking it at face value, are over. It is a brand new day, period.

The only people who didn't vote for Barack Obama were old white men, old white married women afraid of their racist old husbands and the avowed stiff necked bigots, who still think white people make up the majority in this world.

Message to bigots: white people never have been the majority in the world, neva, eva, eva.. Rewriting all the history books doesn't make your view the true one.

The masses have finally awakened. Women have finally awakened, and honestly it feels pretty good waking up today.

Hearing a white guy admit on TV that the GOP fucked up by ignoring the rest of us....priceless.

Thank you for voting responsibly. Now let's get this brown revolution moving.

Are We There Yet? Romney-Obama Election 2012

Well, it's another election night eve for me, and lord knows I've been through a lot of them. 41 consecutive years of casting votes for somebody since I turned 21, back in 1971.

The year after I turned 21, I worked on the campaign that successfully gave 18 year olds the vote, when I was already legal, as we used to say. Seems it's my life karma to be early or late, never in perfect step. In other words I have always had to bring my own music and make up my own dance as I went along, while time and circumstance did it's own thing. But that's another story. I digress.

Thinking about what we are about to do again, which is to give the reins of government back to Barack Hussein Obama for another four years, makes me happy, sad and nostalgic all at the same time. On this night, this election eve, the climax of a never ending campaign that started on inauguration day 2009, I'm feeling like what Fannie Lou Hamer said, “I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.” This time around, it was too much. Too much information. Too much lying. Too much pontificating and equivocating. My head hurts.

I've been watching elections since before they were televised in color. I've been voting since before somebody dreamed up HDTV.

General Eisenhower is the first president in my memory. I was born during Truman, but not until just before his election. John Kennedy was the first president I loved. It wounded me deeply when he died. Never met Lynchin Bains Johnson. That's what we called him. He signed the Civil Rights Bills into Law, but that didn't endear him to me. Not then.

Rumor had it that he was nuts. We had a crazy man in the White House, who may have had our beloved JFK killed. However, nobody really knows or will ever know who hired the gunmen on the grassy knoll down in Dallas that day.

Nixon was the first president with whom I shook hands, both he and his wife. Didn't vote for him. Wasn't quite old enough to vote against him. Do know I didn't like his bigotry. Smacked of the same ole shit being dished out by the likes of George Wallace and Bull Connor, except this man occupied the White House.

I was still naive enough back in the day to believe that if a man could rise to the level of President, he certainly couldn't also be a bigot or a racist, not really. Silly me.

Gerald Ford, the man who took over for Tricky Dick Nixon was a decent man. I was a working reporter by the time he came into office and I was humbled by the fact that he knew me on sight and called me “jo.” President Carter was another decent man who has been totally disrespected and wrongfully forgotten.

I interviewed Ronald Reagan four times, starting in 1976 at the Republican convention and could never get past the fact that I was talking to an actor, somebody who was playing a part in a B movie. The conversations were great, but I never bought the good guy act. His voodoo economics initiated the downfall of the American Middle Class and the decline of Unions as well as worker's rights.

Daddy Bush, Bill Clinton and Junior Bush were merely days at work...more fun with Clinton, less so with George the elder and George the younger. The younger Bush especially was like hitching a ride across the ocean on a boat named Titanic with no Leonardo DiCaprio to save my ass.

And then comes Barack Obama.

I was not a supporter in the beginning. I didn't believe a Black man could be elected in America. I dreamed of the possibility, but expected to be dead by the time it actually happened. I believed the racists were too strong to let it happen. I still believe they will turn out tomorrow in an attempt to keep him from a second term.

And I still fear for his life. Because in this country, it's a truth that what white men can't control, they kill. They kill when their status quo is threatened, and Barack Obama is the walking, talking example of threat to the complacency of the masters of the universe.

Obama is one of the few people who can move me to tears. I cried when he won in 2008. I cried at his Inauguration. I cried when I heard him speak last night.

But Last night at the UC arena, I also heard within his speech echoes of the last speech of Dr. Martin Luther King, and it bothered me.

“I have been to the mountaintop....”

Those uncomfortable echoes are resting heavily on me tonight, as I write this now.

In the meantime....I will happily vote tomorrow to move this country forward, and wait for what I hope will be a joyous night. History to be made, and a happy ending to be written. A celebration of the 44^th President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama.

Cincinnati Enquirer Wants Mitt Romney to Take Back Their Country

“Obama took office in January 2009 as the nation’s economy was imploding. That year alone, 4.7 million U.S. jobs were lost and the unemployment rate ballooned past 10 percent. The president can’t be blamed for that. In fact, he and his administration took bold action to prevent further disaster. “-Enquirer Editorial Board

First they compliment the President, then they slap him down by handing their endorsement to Mittens. You can read the whole thing here.

The Enquirer's main problem with Obama, it seems is that he didn't solve ALL PROBLEMS IN HIS FIRST FOUR YEARS. That's it. Didn't work fast enough, apparently implying he was too busy shuckin and jivin to get the job done. If you've paid attention to GOP talking points for the past couple of years, then there is no need to read the editorial.

The editorial goes on to say that the country is in danger of sliding back into a recession and therefore needs Mitt Romney to steer it the rest of the way, back to prosperity. In other words, Mitt will take back the country and all will once again be “white” with the world.

I stopped reading the Enquirer a long time ago primarily because the people who run this sorry excuse of a newspaper write as if they never look out of their windows and see the architecturally beautiful city surrounding them. Cincinnati is in the midst of a construction boom...houses and businesses are jumping. There is a Casino going up. The Banks have taken off. There are Black and Latino restaurants opening up downtown. Amazing. But this stuff would never happen if someone other than Barack Obama was in the White House. It would not have happened with a president Romney based on his proposed policies and spending cuts.

And yet, this GOP controlled paper says Mitt is the answer? Please! And please, let's not discuss the re enslavement of women as proposed by the Republican party. This from a paper where two out three on the editorial board were female at birth.

And no mention of how Mittens would handle the wars, or take care of our returning Vets. Guess The Enquirer doesn't give a damn about them either.

The vacuum that these folks write and exist in is overwhelmingly white, suburban and republican, minorities need not apply, ever. If you read the Cincinnati Enquirer on any given day, you would have no clue that anyone other than conservative catholic white people live here, ever.

Been that way all six decades of my entire life and I keep wondering why I still get mad about it.

The definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over and over, expecting different results.

Time I followed my own advice.

Co-signing Crazy-Women in Mitt Romney's New America

12 days before election day and a poll says “white married women” support Mitt Romney over Barack Obama by 20 percentage points.

Honestly?

Are there enough of them to turn the election in favor of Mitt Romney allowing him to “take back his country?”

Because from my standpoint, that just doesn't make sense. Even if there are enough to turn the election away from Barack Obama, who in their right mind wants to live in Mitt Romney New America, where women are not people, Hispanics have been sent back to Mexico whether they are Mexican or not, and Blacks have been put back in their place, quiet and humble, longing for those happy days on the plantation, where shuckin and jivin and singing “Cum by ya” took up the bulk of the day.

“People” are free in America. Our Constitution says so. We control our bodies. We make our own decisions. We choose where and when to work and make money to finance our very existence. We decide when to get married, when to divorce and when to have children. We, men and women, anyone born on American soil or naturalized on American soil are people.

Unless you're a woman....Then all of those decisions are to be made by the men of Mitt Romney's New America, who have decided that they can just cut to the chase, skip the messy and bloody “born” part of the scenario and go straight to conception, the “wham, bam, don't even have to say thank you ma'am,” part of when egg meets sperm.

They, meaning the masters of this universe, have given a bunch of cells inside a woman's body all the rights and benefits of the Constitution of the United States of America. They want to bless it with legitimacy courtesy of the 14^th Amendment. Free them just like the Emancipation Proclamation says to do with slaves. Full and complete person-hood as soon as it becomes a possibility...not even a functioning possibility....not even a visible or viable possibility.

Before a woman can even feel that she has sparked life of her own volition, or been forced into it by some horny male, relative or stranger, or friend, doesn't matter, all it takes is somebody born with a dick, who is not shooting blanks, and suddenly that woman ceases to become people. They have written it into their party platform...so let it be written...so let it be done. “Ahhhhhh Moses!” 

  Even a rapist retains rights over the woman's body, by legally controlling the fruit of the crime, namely the baby created. True in 31 states in America and now the GOP party platform of Mitt Romney.   Forever beholden to a man, for her life.  Comply or go to jail with no get out of jail card provided...Gotta do something with all those private prisons now that Blacks are being set free to repopulate the inner city ghettos.

And reportedly, 20% of white married women have co-signed off on this shit.

Really?

What about the rest of us...the nonwhite..non married..not buying the bullcrap others who also, at least for right now anyway,  have the right to vote? Just askin...

Even their holy book, their bible, the one they keep pretending to quote from, says life begins with first breath, not conception. Says it a couple of times. But then who really reads the bible, anyway.

And in a Mitt Romney New America, which bible will be the religious book of record? The Book of Mormon or the Books of King James or The Catholic Church's version of Christianity complete with all of it's anti female trappings.

Does it really matter? No, all that really matters in Mitt Romney New America, is that men control the universe in which women reside, quietly, providing sex, companionship, free housecleaning and babysitting when the masters need such things.

I'll bet all those white married women will even be happy to step aside when the master of the universe decides he wants a newer, blonder, replacement. And they will understand when he doesn't have the money to support his older progeny he sparked with her. She has a pared down government safety net, hanging by a thread to help her through the tough times, until she finds another master to take over her care, watering and feeding.

And with all those women needing a roof over their heads, can Polygamy be far behind in a Mitt Romney New America?

Well, one thing that is for certain in a Mitt Romney New America, all this happy horseshit about smaller government, less government meddling in personal lives and separation of church and state will no longer be an issue.  Ayn Rand will be so happy, dancing in her grave.

I'm Not Voting for Steve Chabot or Jeff Sinnard. But I am Going Green and Voting Rich Stevenson

While I know that most of the people who live in the First Congressional District of Ohio recognize the name of their current representative, I would venture to guess, that like me, they don't know who the hell Jeff Sinnard is or what he represents.

Chabot is the perennial representative, off and on, since 1994, who managed to sneak back into office in 2010, when folks simply decided not to vote thereby allowing for the teabag takeover that has wrecked Congress for the past couple of years. Chabot was a part of that.

His signs are up (same signs) and his television ads have started running again and other than the fact that he has changed the color of his shirt, nothing has changed. Same words, same GOP trickle down bullshit talking points. Same mom and apple pie, fake patriotic stance that motivates his base. Same comb-over. Same no show in the neighborhood.

The only time that you hear Chabot's name is at election time. Sponsoring legislation to help his district is apparently not a part of his job description. Although he has co-signed onto every single one of the 55 anti choice and anti women's health laws that have run through the 112^th. He has voted against all Veteran's Bills and all Jobs Bills. He sits firmly along side John Boehner and the other do nothings on Capital Hill.

One would think that this kind of record would motivate Democrats to find a viable candidate to oppose this walking waste of oxygen. So what do Dems do? They run a Jeff Sinnard, probably a party faithful, looking to go big time, with no skills and no track record. There are no yard signs or Sinnard bumper stickers in my hood. There have been no community meetings on this side of town. Nobody in the Obama office is blowing up my phone asking for votes for Jeff Sinnard.

They apparently expect those of us who are also Democrats to support this guy sight unseen. In Hamilton County, running a Jeff Sinnard against Steve Chabot is like throwing raw meat to a lion at the Cincinnati Zoo at feeding time. The Democrats have obviously ceded this election to Chabot. They gave up rather than represent their constituency.

So you know what....I'm not voting democrat in the first congressional district this year. I'm voting for Rich Stevenson of the Green Party. His platform more closely resembles what I would like to see worked on by Congress. 

I realize that a third party vote is more than likely a vote for Chabot, but frankly I'm tired of Democrats assuming what my vote is going to be. They haven't been there for me, for a very, very long time. So, I'm done being there for them, because they assume that Black folks like me will vote the party line regardless. 

I also like Jill Stein for president, but make no mistake about it, I am voting for Barack Obama for President because I think he deserves to attempt to finish what he has started and because Mitt Romney is a major, major mistake for the country.

However in 2016, Democrats better come correct, because I'm done with Democrats, with Republicans and anybody else who does not have my best interests at heart. 2012 is where I draw the line.

After Obama, I'm no longer a Democrat by default.

So my votes are as follows: Obama/Biden, Rich Stevenson in the First District, No on Issue 1, Yes on Issue 2.
