Falling Merrily Down the Rabbit Hole

Well, I opened the drapes this morning and the sun was coming up. It is a cold and frosty November day. A crisp morning, not yet winter cold, but a day where you can see your breath hanging in the air before you. The 2010 midterms are over and while everything changed, nothing actually changed.

Another SOSDD situation...Same Old Shit...Different Day for those who don't know the acronym. It's Groundhog Day, again. 

Watching the election returns last night were pretty disheartening. There was an empty feeling in my gut when I went to bed because the results were showing that in America, nothing really had changed, in that white Americans don't like minorities and they proved it once again. The violent angry right wing which would be happier if I didn't exist, took back its country. They served notice that my short number of days as an equal American are over. 

The “boy” in the White House didn't live up to expectations, didn't genuflect on cue, didn't pay enough lip service to who “really built and owns this country.” The uppity and elitist SOB and his black wife weren't grateful enough for being allowed to live on Pennsylvania Avenue...didn't show it. 

Hell, they generously gave him two years to fix the mess...Hercules cleaned the Aegean stables in a day and they were a total mess. What's the problem?

You can justify it anyway you want...paint it any color you want to paint it...but the truth of the matter is born out by exit polls, and that is white America....80% of GOP whites....closeted democratic whites...fake ass independent whites....gay and straight whites....are afraid of the Black man in the White House.  

That was the GOP/Tea KKK bagger campaign....fear Obama....fear his policies regardless of his success at moving the country away from the brink of depression. There were no issues other than Obama...no solutions...just a campaign for untrusting fraidy cat silly white people. 

From top to bottom. From the state to the federal level, they put the white guys back. Not just any white guys, but the very same white guys who nearly destroyed this country and ran on the same platform they've been pushing for 30 years. The same platform of mass destruction for everyone except for rich people. 

These aren't new people with the exception of Rand Paul. Paul is young crazy replacing an old crazy, Jim Bunning. Paul is second generation rich, crazy and racist, who is just arrogant enough to keep disdain for poor people on display as he works to dismantle social security and medicaid, public education and veteran's affairs to name a few. At least his father kept his racism to himself, until somebody found his old newletters and exposed them. 

Paul is not up to destroying Medicare, however. All of his patients are on medicare. In other words, Paul is set on keeping his own government paycheck intact He just traded up in the size of his own personal government handout. And I'll bet he takes health care, too.
Everyone else, however, is screwed. 

Poor white people who are right there along with me, disdained and unwanted by the rich, are still apparently delusional in their thinking that their color makes them better than me and just like their wealthier counterparts, who don't want anymore to do with them,
then they do with me.

I will never understand what it is that makes poor white people literally cut off their collective nose to spite their face, just to be able say, “well at least I am white, “ like that means something. Must be genetic. 

NOTE TO POOR WHITE PEOPLE: The GOP job plan is probably going to be to bomb Iran, so more of you can go die...but you'll die employed. Hope you die in the line of duty because if you do come back...there won't be any benefits or VA to take care of you. Certainly no health care or social nets to help your families. I guess that is okay. Must be,
because you voted for it. 

NOTE TO GAY PEOPLE: Back in the closet with your festive self, because DADT and DOMA are still the law of the land and ENDA...don't think it's gonna happen. The GOP likes its gays, quiet, closeted and controlled. 

Saw a facebook comment from one anti Obama gay white girl who said gays will just have to work harder in order to pass equality laws....WORK HARDER?! Silly white gay...all of it was on the table to be passed before 2012, all you had to do was to trust the black guy and display an unselfish patience for a change. 

Whatever happened to working smarter instead of harder? How smart was voting against Obama? Think the newly outed Ken Mehlman is going to strap on a big red cape and become superman for gay people. Think about that for a minute. 

NOTE to BLACK PEOPLE: And don't think I'm allowing you to escape culpability. If you didn't vote, you deserve whatever “The Man” hands out. But this time don't blame him for your problems. You fucked up, plain and simple.

And this morning, the MSM has officially changed its name to the Bureau of Propaganda for Corporate America and begun the coronation of Lady Sarah. Can anyone doubt now whether or not she will run for president in 2012?

Can anyone doubt that she will win? At least for today, it has become a real possibility.

Random Thoughts....

Ground Zero Mosque.....no such thing....the planned community center has a space reserved for prayer...that doesn't make it a mosque...any more than having a cross with Jesus on it nailed to your living room wall makes your house a church....

No one is asking that NY forget what happened at the World Trade Center....but it is time to move on...because others died and  were lost in other places in America...

Being Christian or being Jewish...does not make you more American...than say an Islamic American or Buddhist American...or even a Scientology American....

The Constitution was written by men who believed in a higher power, but were not necessarily Christian...by today's definition...many of them in fact would be considered atheists...

They were okay with diversity.....

What you call that higher power is up to you....not mandated by the government...or the so called majority that is no more...

Fluffers...otherwise called news anchors....breathlessly delivering snippets of nothing....”details as they become available” ….never heard again...because it was not really news that's fit to print or broadcast...or repeat....in the first place

The MSM is neither....conservative nor liberal....But it is bought...paid for....owned and squeezed for profit by Corporate America...

Sarah Palin, Channeling her Inner Hood Rat

Sarah Palin is a hood rat...not a pit bull, or a lipsticked smeared pig, nor even the self styled Momma Grizzly or whatever animalistic analogy she comes up with this week..

No, Sarah Palin is a hood rat.

Now for those of you not familiar with this special hard to kill breed of rodent..

Hood rats are fashion challenged, loud mouthed busybodies who spend hours in everyone else's business, usually with no visible means of support for themselves or their five or six kids of varying ages and daddys...

Sarah the hood rat has a job...but some of her hood rat sisters have gigs too...part time and not stressful...like Sarah's gig of speaking engagments and book signings for her personal choir of true believers...

Hood Rats are legends in their own mind..someone to be feared, because as they will readily tell you at the top of their lungs, they will do an LL Cool J on yo azz and Knock you out, if you mess with them.

They talk a good fight, but as everybody else in the hood knows...it's all talk...no substance...no danger..They do show up at fights.. they're the ones in the nappy head rags protecting their pink orange and purple tinged fake hair weaves....They're not there to fight...hell...might break a nail and have to go find money to get the nails done again...No...they are there only to egg on the real fighters and to basically stir up some shit, so speak...

The ex gov has gone to sporting leather jackets, jeans and pumps, showing full time snowbilly cool..She's out to be seen and heard....not felt...

Throw a punch.. take a principled stand...run for office....not in a million years....

When they tell you, they won't tell a soul...or that they are there for you...run the other way...because you know they're lying...the only time a hood rat tells the truth is when they're not talking....

Talk to Sarah and you're liable to see it on Facebook a day later...

These days Sarah's hood is the whole country...all of America...well not all....she won't come to certain states or certain neighborhoods or cities....Like all hood rats...Sarah knows which streets not to cross or where she can stand and talk shit without fear of getting her ass whipped...

Hood rat Sarah is jumping around her hood recruiting Stepford wives to carry her dangerous message. She's even thrown in a couple of mocha tinged Sorors/jack n jill wannabes, into the mix so her message won't seem so......White...

Make no mistake about it...these Sorors are opportunists....not serious...but smart enough to see a brass ring and to make a grab for it...big fish in little pond syndrome...or fly in buttermilk visibility.....

So Sarah can say...see..." I 've got more of them for friends than just that silly old witch doctor who came to my church..hehe"....

And something to remember about these new so called Momma Grizzlies...Stepford wives....they come with an old message...a message honed by their old white husbands..white men can not do what they've done without the help of old white women...who quiet as it's kept....are merely protecting their meal tickets and comfortable way of life...

They may seem new and feminist?!..but they're not...been there the whole time..in the background....letting Dad seemingly call the shots and take the hits while they knock back their cosmos and bourbon water on the rocks, collecting on insurance policies or divorce settlements before they move on the next old white guy meal ticket...

Old White women don't want to change either.....They support equality as long as it does not affect their lifestyle or comfort level....

Their gender may cause them to seem more nurturing or more gentle in approach...however they're not to be trusted...just like Sarah the Hood Rat...

Besides even kids in the hood will tell you...the person you watch out for in a street fight..is the one who doesn't talk...just stands there until attacked.....

Most of America is quiet...just like pre-2008......the real America is not yet talking...they're not being polled....they're not talking to the mainstream media...waiting.....

The MSM likes and prefers hood rat behavior... like Sister Sarah gives them every 24 hours or so in keeping with the news spin cycle.....sells more copy...gets more hits on the blogs...more viewers on TV...

the rest of us.... black, white, brown, yellow... real men, women, gay, straight, working or unemployed........watching...waiting....ain't sayin' nothin'..

Election Eve Questions other Flotsam and Jetsam

Am I the only one bothered by Jeff Berding's blatant hypocrisy in his campaign ads....Anyone not paying attention is being led to believe that Berding single handedly stopped the police and fire fighter layoffs...

And as a result of his heroic actions....was punished by the Mayor and stripped of his party endorsement....

I am already on record as not trusting the guy....I've made up my mind....Ain't votin' for him either...along with Charlie W....Chris M.....Leslie G... Kevin F.....and Laketa C....

I watched challenger Wenstrup's ad too......the man is so timid...he never faces or speaks on camera...no wonder he says he feels safer in Iraq than he does in Cincinnati....He's so shy....just what we don't need at City Hall.....

"Too light to be Black on TV".....I had to deal with that back in the 70's when I was a reporter....Back then...it wasn't enough to be Black...you had to look Black, too..and I was told this before I changed my makeup and went darker for a few months....until the idiot who told me that turned his attention to other things... he was the news director after all...then I went back to my true skin tone after I got the job I wanted...

Today...the University of Cincinnati welcomed a new President....He's a Black man....the first African American President in the history of the school....yet you'd never know that based on the reporting done by the media, here in town...

Not one of them mentioned the fact that he self identifies as African American....they do let him say it....because he does readily id himself as a brother...even though he doesn't look it...

But I guess since he looks like a white man at first glance...local media is apparently reticent to identify him as such...I guess they don't want to "offend" him or to handicap him by bringing him down from his exalted status of Master of the Universe to poseur...

If truth be told....UC's new prez is just one of millions who don't look like what they are...

Folks who are confused about what is called "passing" need to rent a couple of movies...PINKY and IMITATION OF LIFE...might learn something.....

When is the MSM going to call Congress on it's hypocrisy about health care reform? If government run health care is so bad...why are they still hanging on to it for themselves and their families?

Any congressman who votes against health care and the public option should have their health benefits taken away effective immediately..

Why is there such a big deal being made about the Marine general who reportedly opposes gays in the military....If he is truly a soldier.....he will do what his commander in chief tells him to do...

It's called following orders...that is what soldiers do...or be court martialed...

My question is....why won't the commander in chief act to lift the ban? He can do it with an executive order, if I understand correctly....So what is the hang up?

Cincinnati Media Misses Real Story

First African American Named as President of Major University

Normally that would be the headline when a Black is tapped to do something the first time. Forever, his or her name would be prefixed by “first African American” this or that, whenever he is talked about in the news.

However there is a problem here and the problem is that Gregory H. Williams, looks like a white man. He identifies himself as African American, so we're not spilling any family secrets here.

He is okay with his identity, in fact he wrote a book about it. The stories today point out his relationship to two coaches for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Yet, the media is in a state of flux about how to identify this man. If he were my color, there would be no problem. If his skin is dark, then he is first and foremost identified by his color.

However, since he looks like a white man, do they want to hang a negative on him in front of his name? In other words, since he looks like a white and probably lives like a white man, why should we bring him down and label him in a negative, ie "black way."

“First African American Named to Lead UC” or some such statement.

The media is still stuck and probably forever will be stuck in telling stories by stereotype, rather than finding the real story inside the facts.

The fact that this man spans and lives and has survived in both worlds is interesting in and of itself regardless of his new position of power, especially since he rose to power after embracing his dark side...

Identifying him the way he identifies himself and then telling the story of how he reached that point is infinitely more interesting than the one the MSM has set itself up to tell.

Their fear of possibly offending someone or of shying away from the facts is why they've lost all credibility in a game they created...

In a time when we're trying to bolster young black men to stay in school and to seek achievement rather than run from it, Gregory Williams is an excellent role model.

I know, I know...I hear you....he achieved in a white skin with full white privilege in play...looking and thinking that he was a white man...until he met his family...all of his family....

Well, after meeting his family...he didn't lie or run away from what he is...he embraced it and went on..

He says he is a Black man...and that is good enough for me...

It is also the story inside the story that should be told...

Monday Morning Apology

I’m sorry that I called Sarah Palin just an “old white guy republican in a dress.” That was an insult to old white guy republicans. I’ve known a few in my life and other than their political leanings, they are actually good people. Some of them anyway.

The more I see and read about Sarah Palin, the more convinced I am that she is closer to a Taliban...you know those guys we’re fighting in Afghanistan....The ones who want to impose their world on that country as well as the rest of us.

Question: What is the difference between right wing Christian conservatives and Osama bin Laden muslim extremists? Somebody answer that for me, please...because I don’t see a difference in their world views...

In fact, I wonder when or if anyone in the mainstream media is going to question her about her religious beliefs the way they vetted Obama about his. Palin’s church is hosting a conference that claims, among other things, that it can “pray away the gay in you.” Changing gays into straights...hmmmmmmmmm..are the Log Cabin Republicans invited to this event. ..The national pentecostal ruling body, since 1949, has repeatedly condemned Palin’s view of Christianity as being to “out there” for them, too...Why is she getting pass?....When is the MSM going to put Palin’s pastor on the revolving sound loop?

John McCain went on Ellen Degeneris’ show last season.....Is Sarah going to make an appearance, too? Can’t wait for that conversation, if it happens.

I can’t wait for her first interview, period. For someone who allegedly wants the right to govern all of the people, she sure is shy about putting herself out in front of her would be constituents. My honest feeling is that she is a loose cannon and all the right reporter has to do is to give her enough rope and she will hang herself. Her arrogance matches her running mate’s ego...dangerous...

STUPID....a word that keeps cropping up in conversation, lately...as in “How STUPID is it that the GOP is claiming to be the party of change, when they’ve been the party in power for the past 8 years and most of the last 20....The really STUPID part is that they think we’re STUPID enough to buy that bullshit again........Well, are we?

UPPITY....Some political fool named Westmoreland used that word in direct reference to the Obama’s. And although he claims not to know the racial tinge to that word, despite the fact that he is a southerner older than me, he used it correctly...

Personally, I prefer dealing with bigots like Westmoreland, because I know where they’re coming from, they’re happy to tell me...no guessing needed....It’s the closet cases who bother me...you know the ones who stand before the American flag claiming to be my friend, while voting against any and every issue that would help me and those like me.....Anybody come to mind?
